Just kidding about the "shipping" remark, by the way, sometimes on the forum people will say, that's just shipping, and dismiss the romances.

LongRider wanted to share some thoughts about Sam/Gilly. (And I like to think I had something to do with that line through "shipped" in her signature, I kept saying, I don't consider it shipping, but enjoying romances! :lol:)

That was very nice writing. And he got to see the man who protected his other daughter be a true knight, Ned was the one who was doing the play by play that day at his tourney.

I always liked Gendry, but so much more after your essays. For me the big standout for the writing setting up their story was Acorn Hall. There are signs that he spent a whole lot of time writing that one. I love the depth he packs into certain passages. I love all of it, I've read it several times, and there's always something that stands out, but the last time, I like that he followed her out. And then when they started messing with him, she said she started it. That was lovely...

Definitely not a dunce, there's a lot of understated humor going on in their interactions, what's unspoken is that they complement each other. They work well as a team. I really like this observation, love the way he set up that contrast. Sparring is the best kind of romantic chemistry. I still shake my head over Ashley, what the hell was she thinking. She could have had Rhett.

Yolkboy, Lady Gwynhyfvar, and DogLover, you were so awesome on the podcast! The love wiki! I can't recommend the podcast enough, I love that you played Le Cygne (The Swan) from Saint-Saëns - Le carnaval des animaux at the end! And DogLover, you were fabulous! Updated the index...

Ygritte, I think Rose Leslie was a great casting, but slightly scaled back intensity would have been better. A little less brash, a little less angry, would have gone a long way.

If you do watch the movies (not that you will, mind you!), watch the extended version... Books are really good, they take you into a different world, makes you look at this one in a different way, like I suppose all good writing does.

I heart Eowyn (my icon)... The LOTR books are really good, think ASOIAF without the sex scenes! The movies were really good, too, I have to read/watch every so often, never gets old. Not trying to move you past your stubbornness or anything... :)

I agree and I've been hoping they were wrong about this all season, but they are convinced. I gave up protesting.

I don't get the Asha scene, she looked awesome, but I wasn't watching the show all that closely. Dogs? Run!!!!!!!! I saw man fur, but nothing else.
