  1. Well I've been reading so many complaints and I get many of them, but I'm pleased that the show is wrapping up in the best way that they could to please most of the fans that didn't read the books. I decided when the show surpassed the books that I would not compare and complaint anymore, since I'm more frustrated with all this years of waiting for the 6th book. I also take into consideration the work and effort of cast and crew. I mean they filmed this episode during 37 nights at 14 degrees bellow, that's hard. As for the episode, just the show, no comparisons to books, I think that Arya was a good choice, since John would be too lame for my taste as the one killing off the NK. As for ending so fast, well they kept repeating for a while now that killing the king would do the trick, so I was expecting a sudden action. If he didn't fall as he did, all the characters would die, because there was no way that they could keep going longer. I didn't like what they did or didn't do with Ghost all this season. He came from nowhere in the beginning of this season and was running with Jorah in the battle to simply die in the dark? I also didn't like Sansa's behavior in the crypt. I know she is not a fighter, but children were dying there and she was hiding? I also didn't get Bran's actions, I mean how was he helping/seeing things during the battle? I hope we get to know more in the next episode. In the other hand, I liked the way that they killed Lyanna, Jorah and Theon. They also managed to keep me tense during all the episode, apart from the dragons flying in fog, that was very hard to see.
  2. I really had a great time watching the show, specially with Jon and Mance and with Stannis arrival. After last season I decided to watch the series without compating all the time with the books and guess what, I really started enjoying the show. I agree with you regarding LSH, I think that it will fit better and even with more impact in next season, because for non book readers that are also a huge audience of the show, there was a lot of information already. My only complaints are the rush with Jamie/Tyrion scene, without Tyrion mentioning about Cersey infidelity and Tywin death, because I was really expecting one of the best dialogues of the season at that moment, but they failed to deliver.
  3. I had to give 10 just for the trial scene, because the last minutes of it was simply awesome! As many I didn't like Asha's scene at the Dreadfort, but I have to say that when the trial started I totally forgot about it, just retained the great scene of Davos and the trial, both made this episode one of the best!
  4. It was my lowest rate for this season so far (7), but there were some nice parts and others that really bothered me. I don't like this nice Cersey at all and the fact that she didn't react at all to Marg's comments was too much for me. I also didn't like this news that the Lannisters are broke, where they wanna go with this? On the up side, I really liked that they managed to solve the Jon / Bran situation in a good way, I also enjoy Arya and The Hound scenes as well as Pod and Brienne. However I do think that they are going too far with Pod's stupidity. The highlight was of course having crazy Lysa back, she rocked on this episode and really screamed for all Westeros to listen - but it gave me the impression that she was giving birth to a giant!!
  5. Great to see crazy Lysa back, very good performance. However it was very strange to see her admitting her involvement with Jon's dead and with the plot to get Cat in like she was mentioning something so trivial. I was also pleased with the way that they managed to make Bran escape without meeting Jon, and Hodor really rocked killing Locke, but in the end I felt sorry for him when he realized some how what he did. The part the I didn't like was this strange Cersey that they have on the show. I mean, Marg says that she may call her a sister or "mother" and no reaction at all. Too sweet for my taste. Also don't get what they intend to do with this news that the Lanisters are broken. I always love Pod and Brienne's scenes and now that they are together is a joy, but again I think that they are going too far with Pod, I mean he is not that stupid! making him burning the rabbit because he didn't get that he had to skin it was too much, not to mention his riding style. I think that they didn't have to go that far.
  6. I like the surprise in the end of episode for a change, I'm like many that like a bit of deviation from the books and enjoyed some spoilers for the first time. I gave 9 instead of 10 only because the only thing that I don't want to happen is Jon meeting with Bran, so I hope somethings happens and Bran manages to leave before Jon gets there to kick that bunch of cowards ass.
  7. I gave 9/10 because in my opinion ot was the best premiere since the first season and as many it was a great feeling to have the series back. The only parts that I didn't like much were the ones with Jannie, because it kinds of out of place, but I get that since they brought him back earlier they would have to do something about it. Apart from that loved most of the scenes and mainly loved many of the lines in the episode, specially the Hound ones in the end. The last scene with Aria was awesome and I have to say that for a moment her happy face during her revenge gave me the creeps.
  8. Well was an episode to put things together for next season, it seems, so that's why so many people were a bit frustrated. I was frustrated as well. I know that it was a long shot to see LS in this season finale, of course it would be great to see her, but I get why she wasn't there. However I expected to see Coldhands in this season as the last chance wad tonight and no luck, so there I got upset. On all the episode my favorite is Arya's scene.
  9. Well, I expected to see LS at the end and also missed Coldhands, so that's why I gave it 8, because it was simply a chapter to tie things up for next season and nothing major happened.
  10. Well I had to come late for the discussions because the forum was down for me till now. Awesome episode IMO, really well done. Michele nailed it and I liked that she ended in a catatonic way despite some complaints that I've read here in the forum. I think that the impact was much greater, at least for me.Of course that this can affect the way Lady Stoneheart looks - but again they can change that with the way on how they deal with her body after she is thrown in the river. Despite all the preparation for the scene with the music, doors being shut, Cat's sense that something bad was about to come, the stabbing on Talise was a shock (and I didn't even care about Talisa. Here my only complaint was the fact that she was pregnant and wanted to name their son Eddard. The rest of the episode was also great, loved Rickon scene, very touching and The Hound with Arya was also cool, specially the scene with the old trader. Can't wait for the season finale.
  11. Awesome episode, really well done. Michele nailed it and I liked that she ended in a catatonic way despite some complaints that I've read here in the forum. I think that the impact was much greater, at least for me. The only thing that I missed was her going for Walder Frey, instead of the wife. Despite all the preparation for the scene with the music, doors being shut, Cat's sense that something bad was about to come, the stabbing on Talise was a shock. The rest of the episode was also great, loved Rickon scene, very touching and The Hound with Arya was also cool, specially the scene with the old trader. I was only upset that the episode was shorter than usual, but already had the chance to see it again on HBOHD, and again got the same shocking and empty feeling at the end. Can't wait for the season finale.
  12. They really did it, a 10 for me! When they started to play Rains of Castemere, the look on Cat's face, the doors closing, all the preparation and the atmosphere there and still it was shocking to see it on screen. Michelle Fairley was amazing, IMO.
  13. Great episode IMO, minor things bothered me, but I'm fine now with the adaptation of the books, so despite the fact that while watching it I get the impulse to say, why they made Sansa kneel, after the episode ends I get why they did. I just wanted more time in some scenes, like the party after the wedding, it was too short :/ Really liked Tyrion raising his glass to Loras. Loved the crows in the end and I was waiting to Coldhands... well I hope they bring him before the end of the season. Also, I agree with many comments about Daario, I mean I like him much more than book Daario.
  14. I did too, loved the way that he replied to her "you would be milady". Maisie was brilliant in this whole episode. Her scene with Beric was touching as well. Loved her show version so far. As for Dragontosne not being a place for her, I have to add that show's Selyse gave me more creeps than the book version, even without the ears and mustache. It really made me sick watching her talking with those baby jars!!
  15. Loved the episode, great surprises in it, specially Jaime and Brienne scene and his monologue about the mad king. They are so brilliant in their roles that I can't get enough of them. Another surprise was the way that they handle the Tyrell plot discovery, a good way IMO. Didn't expect the talk between Ser Barrister and Jorah too, but again found it good to show why he doesn't know that Jorah was sending info on Dany to Robert. One cute and touching surprise was Shireen and Davos scene. As for the parts that I was expecting, I mean from the preview, I loved the Hound and Beric's fight, the best so far in the show. I disagree with some posts here about Arya, I mean I think she was very good in this episode and her talk with Gendry was really touching. Finally Cersey and Tyrion's face in the end of the episode, priceless. Tywin is really daddy from hell!!
  16. Simply loved the episode, missed some things that I was hoping for, like Sam final scene with the Old Bear, but despite the changes the episode was still awesome. I guess that this would be a good way to prevent the wedding, but still not sure if they will use it. I second that, I mean I didn't see the scene at all as Brienne pointing out that women are weak, but as a way to reply to Jaime's previous comments on women. I really love in the show almost as much I did in the books the relationship between Jaime and Brienne.
  17. Still enjoying the memories of the end of the episode! Simply awesome to be able to see one of the moments that I really loved in the books so well done in the screen, so a 10, for me. Not only Dany's moments were great, but we also had amazing scenes with Varys and Tyrion and Varys and the Queen of Thorns (her lines are great in the show) and Beric scenes. This ones are my highlights, but all the episode was great.
  18. Well, I don't think you need to call people idiots for theit opinion, it's really not nice to put in this way. As for your comment, well for me it was clear since the preview of the episode that he was talking about a shadow son and not a real one and I believe that many here got it. However comparing book Stannis with show Stannis makes lots of book readers frustrated, since so far the character development is not going very well on the show, at least IMO and I'm not a book Stannis fan. It happened here at home, since I watch the show with two non book readers and, despite the fact that they didn't cheer, because they were surprised by the scene, after the show all the talk was about the fact that he deserved. Once again, I had to control myself, since I've read all the books and love Jamie. Winterhell was really priceless!! I saw him even before that scene, I mean when they were arriving at Craster's Keep and found very strange to see him as a member of the NW considering that I don't recall him from previous seasons, so I guess he will have a larger role in the next episodes.
  19. I would give 9.5 if I could because the only scene that I didn't like was the one with Stannis, but love the rest. I love Blackfish, perfect! Loved also the touching scene with Cat. As for Edmure, well I didn't like him in the books as well, so I think that he is fine for me as well in the show. I was amazed by the details on the scenery in Riverrun, they really did an amazing job. Also loved the Hot Pie goodbye scene, it was beautifully done and even got me missing Hot Pie too. The scene with the small council made me laugh a lot, I only thought that Tywin was in a very good mood to endure it! Dany's scenes also awesome, can't wait for next week's episode! Didn't care much for Pod's scenes at first, but Tyrion mentioning the Meerenese knot changed my opinion :) Finally, Jamie and Brienne. Well they are simply amazing in the series, best casting in the show IMO. I only could see the details of the last scene as I wanted because I had to go to my computer as fast as possible after the show to be able to get my tickets for The Exhibition. Very Happy that I got them :) However I will be able to watch the episode again in 45 minutes, so I will see what all the comments are all about regarding Nikolaj Coster-Waldau awesome acting in the moment they cut his hand.
  20. Yes of course, I get it ;) but I was thinking more ahead, when they reach the snow, but again they can adjust it to become some kind of sled. However my point was simply that the actor is growing very fast, his voice is changing and it will become more and more strange to see him as Bran. I'm really fine with the fight, I mean I didn't love it, but I liked it fine. It was very clear for me that Jaime could not fight as he used to after all he faced in the recent events, so considering that and the fact that he had his hands tied and that Brienne is really tall and strong, he could not endure much, like you I also could see his stamina bar draining. Totally agree! And considering the amount of characters in the show, for me it's natural that they have to start in a slower pace. I guess that book readers forget that there are loads of people watching it that didn't read any of the books so unlike us they don't know all the names and facts ahead. I recall when I read the first book for the first time and I had a very hard time at first with all the characters. Here at home I watch with people that didn't read the books and they have questions all the time about the characters. I really liked the scene too, creepy as you said and I'm looking forward Orrell's scenes in the series, because it will be cool to see Crook playing a more serious character.
  21. Just watching it again and a random observation: Bran got really big comparing to the previous season, didn't he (the actor of course)?. I mean it's strange to see a Bran that big. I guess Hodor will have a hard time to carry him around.
  22. Indeed, happy that you posted about it, because was one of my favorite moments on the episode :) I'm in the group (like you) that don't like her as Mag, and I think that considering that many people here likes and deslikes some of the casting I think you're right to point out that we should not criticize anyone here about this kind of comment, they are personal opinions, period. I also find painful the performance of the actress that plays Shae, but that doen't mean that she's bad, only that she is bad IMO for this character. That's the same feeling that I have about Dormer, specially because I didn't pictured Mag while reading the books as she portrays her.
  23. Well, I really liked and I justify my high score simply because of some great scenes, specially Jaime and Brienne and the Queen of Thorns with Sansa. Jaime's and Olenna's lines were brilliant. I also loved the Brotherhood appearance and the Reeds. I only could not give a better score because Shae still is too painful to watch and of course Cat's scene was something that I'm still digesting.
  24. I really enjoyed the episode, I mean there are amazing scenes and a couple of bad scenes, so in all I like it. Best scenes so far Queen of Thorns and Sansa,(loved how Diana Riggs managed to give her the acid sense of humour, without being too Maggie Smith) and of course Jaime and Brienne - loved his lines!! I was surprised to see the Reeds, but liked the scenes. Very happy also to see Arya, Hot Pie and Gendry and the prize was the brotherhood. So far so good, but Shae kills me. I mean her scenes are so painful to watch!! The other very strange scene was Cat's one about Jon, I really don't know what they are going to do with her at the moment. It was very, very strange to see Cat saying those lines.
