New forum doesn't show who you're quoting or when it's from, and that's pretty annoying.

The past three days the site has been crashing regularly for me. It starts with my macbook air or pro getting very hot, the fan spinning on high and then the inevitable crash. In the bottom left corner of chrome it shows waiting for an endless scroll of ads. This post is taking forever to process as I type. Will be turning adblocker back on for a bit.

I cleared my cache and rebooted my laptop this morning, and tonight I've got an ad for Epic Ski that is autoplaying video, and it did sound for a short time. Big drag on responsiveness and it made my laptop extremely hot again.

This website is killing me on Chrome on both my macbook air and pro. I always keep it open in a tab, and lately it will randomly reload that page even if it's been hours since I last clicked on anything here or had that tab to the front. It's causing my machines to run very hot and eating a lot of juice. The ad I seem to see most commonly when it occurs is for Sling TV, but it's not always there when the problem occurs. Today it bogged down my machine so much that I've started just closing the tab.

Weird. I made that post on Windows 10 with Chrome, and have never had any problems with that combination here. Have you tried another browser on here?

@Werthead Why are you so bad at quoting on this website? I mean, when you highlight the text you want to quote it pops up "Quote this" which would include the tagging info, yet you still copy and paste it in a quote box which is more work and less informative. I rarely read a post of yours that has quotes in it because I don't want to spend the time to go back and find who wrote what.

Damn. I'm starting to think the cast is cursed... It's getting a little ridiculous. Definitely the way to go, imo. I remember that as it was airing. What a freaking mess.

No more problems, so whatever the ad was it must not be around any longer.

Some new ad is rendering it impossible to browse the forum on my phone. It automatically pulls the page (and it's been every page) to the bottom as soon as it begins loading, and if I try to scroll up it pulls it back down immediately. Nothing ever even loads on the ad, just a grayish circle. screen cap 1, and 2. ETA: this morning has been the first time I've encountered the issue.

Wow, some people have way too much time on their hands, but at the same time not enough: Too much blood for a lightsaber battle. A lightsaber wouldn't stay activated when dropped. And a lightknife? Boo. It got a from me.

I'll do that. I've been keeping a running tally in my head: Lego Avengers ad has done it four more times, an ad for Planet Fitness did it once, once for Verizon, and once again it was just a white box.

I forgot to look at which ad it was the last time, and I looked but can't see any way to save the page on my phone (which is the only place it's happened). Any tips on that?

It just did it again. This time the ad at the bottom was for PS4 Lego Avengers.

Some ad keeps trying to force a download on my Windows phone. I believe it started Saturday (if that will help you narrow it down). When it did it the last time I tried to see what the offending advertisement was, but the ad box at the bottom of the page was just pure white.

On a Windows tablet (not W10): the emoticon icon is the symbol for creating a link, and the icon to click for creating a link is a gear, and the "align right/center/left" are all incorrect too. They are correct on my Windows phone though...
