  1. That's about $1.97 too much. Just my two cents.
  2. This is the best thing I've seen on youtube in a long time:
  3. I liked it, but didn't love it. Probably the least engaging of the series for me. I know it was supposed to feel smaller, after the end of the previous book, but that definitely led to that lack of engagement. I actually preferred The October Man which I read right before it. I also read the latest Alex Verus novel - Fallen. Blazed through this one, after the first 40% was feeling like more of the same it kicked off in a big time way. Very glad I started taking a bit of time in between the latter books of the series, as now I don't have to wait quite so long before the next one is released.
  4. I do like that even the most recent book in the series was only $7.99 when it was just released.
  5. Me too, luckily mine arrived from the Book Depository several weeks ago. I had forgotten to order it, but @williamjm mentioned it in the first quarter thread just as it was released.
  6. @ants Have you read The Black Sun's Daughter books by MLN Hanover (Daniel Abraham)? They seem to fit your tastes. I just started False Value by Ben Aaronovitch, after finishing the most recent novella - The October Man - yesterday. Big fan of this series.
  7. Is this my new favorite video? Quite possibly.
  8. In my daily Amazon email there was a $1.99 promotion for Duplicity: A fast paced thriller with a brilliant twist by Sibel Hodge. What a wonderful name for a novel
  9. I've been hoping that would drop in price. Thanks.
  10. My background image has kicked back to the default twice in the past week/week and a half, and hadn't done that a single time since switching to this iteration of the board software.
  11. When it first aired (and to this day) I thought that some of the effects were too cartoony, but it definitely didn't stop me from watching it!
  12. I was all prepared to reread it, following a reread of books 1 and 2, a couple of years ago when it was "all set" to release in September. Then it didn't happen, but I did reread Lies, and I loved it just as much as I did the first time way back in 2006.
  13. Scott's last book was released in Oct. '13, George's was July '11 and Pat's was Mar. '11. So while they're playing the same sport, they're definitely not in the same league.
  14. M.R. Carey's Someone Like Me is on sale for Kindle at $2.99 today. As is Kim Stanley Robinson's 2140.
  15. The first book in The Alchemy Wars by Ian Tregillis is $2.99 on kindle today.
