i didnt like the dynamics of the relationship between joffrey and cersei either, my guess is they are trying to make him more bad ass than he has ever been or will be, while making cercei a more likeable character early on... I´m all for action/suspense oriented changes over the book (like yoren's scene and the nicking of arteries) but when they try to change the characters just for the sake of simplyfing them I just can´t stand
