I loved this episode, possibly my favorite of the season. Unlike last weeks episode, which was memberberies galore, this episode actually moved the plot forward.

Same, the guy was basically just Joff, without any real power.

Palpy is only good thing about the prequels, IMO Everyone else is just so boring by comparison. -

I mean I've rewatched that speech dozens of times already. For me the whole thing just reminds me of what Star Wars can be in the right hands. -

Ohh it's a, horrible horrible film; I fully agree on that. I just view it as one of those so bad it's good type films. Also like stated above, the movie is the prototype for FF:VII. During lock down in 2020 me and my friends rewatched the film on Zoom and were amazed by that revelation. -

If nothing else, they're unlike any other trilogy ever made, in which you have each movie trying to undo the events of the film that came before it. -

So basically the worst of the worst, because I don't know anyone who likes either of those two. Heck during Rise of Skywalker, the audience I saw the film with, out right booed the screen, when Rey and Ben kissed. I remember it being the funniest part of the movie. I'm not one to judge though. I'm one of the ten people on the planet who enjoyed the 1993 Mario Brothers film and one of the five people on the planet who enjoyed Highlander 2; especially after me and my friends discovered it was the prototype for Final Fantasy VII. -
I just assumed Tyrion didn't care much for it in the first book, so he had no reason to ever thinking about it; same with Ned, when it comes to Jon Snow. Keep in mind, that Tyrion's first chapter in the second book, when he confronts Cersei about it, is well before Stannis sends out his letters. So why would Tyrion suddenly come to the realization that Joff and the other kids are Jamie and Cersei's, just randomly on his ride to Kings Landing?

I don't know, it seems pretty stupid to me. Dorne is currently a powder cage, ready to go off and one more dead member of the royal family, who is killed under Lannister protection would probably do it. Cersei has nearly destroyed her alliance with the Tyrell's, so it's only natural for her to destroy her alliance with Dorne as well.

Actually that chapter happens just before Ned dies. It's the one where she begs Joff to be merciful on Ned.

It seems a bit out of character for him, but keep in mind Arys Oakeart was pretty much a blank slate at that point, so yea he wasn't fleshed out. The first book has a lot of strange things though, that don't match up. This is the same chapter, where Joff asks for Doran Martell and "ALL OF HIS SONS", to show up to court and swear their loyalty to him. Not "BOTH OF HIS SONS", which is what the line should be. Ignoring that, neither of his sons is even his heir to begin with, so the line makes no sense all together.

Cersei does mention in one of her AFFC chapters, that Balon Swann had "another mission" aside from delivering Gregor's skull, but it was a mission best kept secret. Balon Swann was also nervous, when Doran mentioned taking a boat to Kings Landing and not the main road and even protested against it. So if it's not to kill Trystane, what other reason could it be? Doran is sending Myrecella back to Kings Landing, so it can't be to kidnap her.

Hypothetical Small Council of King Stannis

True, though she already got the better of Varys once; when he sent spies to Dragon Stone. -

Mel as Master of Whispers, would be better than even Varys, IMO. She can literally see future threats to her king, before they happen. Davos as Hand would be really good as well. The guy is as loyal and honorable as Ned Stark. -
I often get annoyed with GRRM, because every time a Stark does something amazing it’s usually off page, in the main series, or a flashback from long ago.

Hayden Christensen's acting hurt my head. I miss the guy from the Clone Wars cartoon, because Hayden just can't emote very well. I sort of wish the vision ended with Ahsoka getting knighted. -
Just saying, other options did exist.
