He looks cool, though a friend of mine told me this character is a bit of a joke in the comics.

Saw the first 2 episodes and I think I'm done. I know she's a minor character, but Primrose takes me right out of the episode, whenever she shows up; the effects for her just are not great.

Karl Ubran would be my pick.

All we have though is guess work to go on. For example we know Ser Barry isn’t dying like he did in on the show. I doubt Stannis will as well, but that’s mostly guess work on my part. Simply put, I don’t fully trust D&D.

They’ve also lied to us before, don’t act like they haven’t. I’d say we have a 50/50 chance of this happening.

Alright, now explain Ramsay's madness to me. He's a guy who enjoyed taking people apart just for fun. I personally don't see a whole lot of reasoning in that.

We wont know that until A Dream of Spring is out and at this point who knows if that will ever happen. This whole episode just made me hate Dany and leaves me feeling disgusted inside, which I imagine is the point of GRRM's chapter of this in my minds eye right now. A strong and complicated woman, who believes in helping other turned into a mad woman, because she lost too many people she trusted and cared about. I mean you're asking a mad lady to have a proper reason to do anything? That's like asking why grass is green, lol

Stannis must be saint in your eyes, given the number of people he and Mel burnt alive.

If this is GRRM plan for Dany, I'm almost scared to read it. I'm already picturing in my mind a chapter of Dany losing her mind and killing people left and right.

She burnt them alive, when sending them to the Wall was on the table. Me and my friends often talk about how that was f'd up.

The Iron Born only follow the strong and Euron if nothing else has shown that he's a very smart military leader. One of my biggest issues with the Iron Born was, why any of them would follow Balon into war, once the main series started. He seems like a weak old man at that point and as far as we know the guy didn't even fight on the battlefield in his first rebellion. Euron on the other hand is fighting on the front lines like Robert Baratheon and inspiring loyalty through victories and giving most of his plunder to his men. The guy might be a psycho, but from a military stand point he's a genius.

This is a great chapter. I wish it was in ADWD's though. It seems perfectly set up as well, from the ending of the Tyrion chapter in which Moqorro tells Tyrion, Dany's greatest enemy is " A tall and twisted thing with one black eye and ten long arms, sailing on a sea of blood".

Well to be fair, at this point these sample chapters have become a bit of a joke. As of this one over 11 have been released which is essentially around 1/6 of the book. Assuming this thing ever comes out, I'm going to have already read the first 100 or so pages at this rate, lol

I agree, both chapters could easily be combined into one.

To be fair this the second Arianne chapter he wrote for the book, that consists mostly of her traveling around Dorne. So their will be at the very least two chapters like this, not just one. This is why I'm worried to be honest.

I'm not holding my breath. I honestly think GRRM just likes world building these days and he can't give us a Dorne chapter unless we see as much of Dorne as possible. lol

Remember how quickly it takes Ned and the girls to get to Kings Landing in the first book and how long it takes Sam to get to Old Town in AFFC, the travel chapters are the crap I'm talking about, not the food descriptions and back stories. We don't need to know every stop a character makes along to a destination, unless it serves a purpose to the story.

Remember when this kind of crap was skipped over in the first 3 books. Better days, better days, lol

So I guess this episode more or less spoiled for us what's going to happen to Jojen in the next book, along with the real faith of The Moutain. I suppose more book spoilers will follow next season.

The actress playing Cat wont be busy working on the show 24 for one thing. Seriously if you want the real reason why you didn't get your precious Stone Heart, that's it. Michell Fairley is a main character on 24 and probably was too busy to return to A Game of Thrones only to film one scene.

We don't get to see Donal Noye fight the giant in the book either.
