  1. That is pretty standard for so-called democracies sadly and I believe it is called enhanced interrogation.
  2. Legally when it comes to human rights there is usually no difference between prepubescent kids and teenagers but that is obviously not true when it comes to what people feel and most countries do have laws the punish teenagers harder than younger kids. Emotionally people will usually feel way more sympathy towards a little girl then a teenage boy. That is nothing new and pretty widespread I feel. Obviously nobody should be detained indefinitely without charges but that people feel that those two cases are not equivalent should not surprise anyone.
  3. I would be willing to check it out but I'm not paying for Bild lol.
  4. Well at least according to the limited data in Austria the current covid wave is one of the biggest if not the biggest ever infection wise but not in severity(waste water analysis). Nothing out of the ordinary symptom wise afaik. However there is evidence that getting Cvoid again and again is not particularly good for your immune system and that might make it easier for other infections. But it feels like lot of people have doubled down on doing as much as possible while having a mild case of an infectious disease and there is next to no masking in German language countries now. Far less than in left leaning US areas.
  5. Lilith finally showed up in the Fraiser reboot and I enjoyed that a lot. I'm a big fan of the character having watched most of Cheers by now on top of Fraiser.
  6. I don't but this article downplays the violent aspect from the very start.
  7. I like it that your quoted part starts without this. No mention at all on why western media focuses on the "armed struggle" as the article calls terror attacks that it avoids mentioning. 1972 is actually the year of the Munich terror attack. The next ten years saw multiple terror attacks abroad.
  8. I stopped my evil Durge playthrough because it felt a bit unsatisfying. A lot of the evulz options were fun but playing evil felt unsatisfying otherwise. As I suspect that future patches will improve upon some of the evil content I decided to play goodish again. I have restarted multiple times before I played my first character(a boring half-elf sorcerer) to act 3 and reached act 2 with my evulz Durge gnome and a hith barbarian(both add a lot of fun dialogue options with that combo). Now I'm playing with a non-evil Durge drow bard and this combo seems to have even more options than the gith/barb combo. Bard is a lot more fun than I expected. A great class in this game. I'm playing with Asterion and Lae'zel as Barbarians and Gale as Sorcerer. My character does not do much I guess as hasted Lae'zel and Asterion are more than enough. I made Asterion a tiger heart barb for the lulz actually because the idea if him making everyone bleeds seemed funny but that is actually a strong combo although not as strong as throw berserker. I used respec a lot my sorcerer game to test options for my party members and I throw berserker and tavern brawler monk are were probably to most effective simple options apart from pure fighter which works really well in this game. Most op thing I tried was probably sword bard with the arcane acuity hat. That combo can basically disable anything in the game from what I saw.
  9. He is very conservative in a way. It just that he has been cursed with empathy a flaw conservatives do not usually possess and our influence has corrupted him.
  10. I'm loving the game and I still think that real time with pause would be far superior. The throw mechanics and item abilities and interactions are probably the most fun parts.
  11. I just read Snoop Dogg is quiting the smoke. Good work Scot.
  12. A lot of companies are suddenly buying those things from India. Edit: I'm from Austria and companies here are definitely doing as much business with Russia as possible.
  13. By now a lot of companies from countries that sanction Russia probably have well established ways of circumventing them.
  14. Well clearly that would not have happened if everyone had a gun. /s
  15. I did not say it that it is better for everyone. But the idea the world would be a better place for Jews if Israel was not a well armed and agressive nation is honestly ridiculous. Even a Qatar funded news organisation calls it that in English. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2023/11/14/israel-hamas-war-live-israeli-attacks-displace-700000-children-in-gaza
  16. Jews are not being exterminated or deported en masse right now. Works better for them than the historic alternatives.
  17. Non-violence has not worked very well for Jews throughout history.
  18. The people who will change there stance on measures on climate change because of her commenting on the conflict in Israel are the same kind of people that claim that their dislike for traffic blocking protesters made them switch sides. They were never on board anyway and just pretended at best.
  19. Haste makes the game much easier. I focused on using that from the start because that was really strong in BG1+2 too. Potions are good for the start and the spell comes pretty early. Twinned haste from a sorcerer on two characters with bonus attacks is just OP. The alert feat is good on the sorcerer because you can ensure going first.
  20. I believe Thailand has reached out to countries supporting Hamas. But much more powerful countries have failed getting their citizens released. They are not dual citizens though unlike many other hostages with non-israeli citizenship. Sanctioning Qatar might help to increase the pressure on Hamas leadership though.
  21. Because I was interested I looked at some English language Thai sources and the number of Thais confirmed killed has grown to 39. 4 are still in Israeli hospitals. 25 are still held hostage. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/five-more-thai-nationals-confirmed-to-have-died-in-israel/ A lot if not all of them were migrant workers btw not people killed at the rave. It is sad to see once more that western media(social or not) tends to forget about Asian(and African or South American) victims of a tragedy asap. Edit: On a sidenote the Thai government disapproves that the video of a Thai killed was shown at the UN and to journalists because that does not demonstrate proper respect and due consideration for the deceased and his family. I guess i understand why the Israelis chose that one because it seems to be one of the most grusome videos found according to descriptions(injured but alive man decapitated with a garden hoe by Hamas fighter while screaming Allahu Akbar)and it involves the killing of a person who could not be confused with a Jew.
  22. You can find at least one killing of a Thai online if you are interested and make your own judgment although I would not recommend it and there have been reports the they were especially enthusiastic about harming victims from Southeast Asia. But it is pretty clear that most people don't give a shit about these victims because it harms that narrative of oppressed people vs. oppressors.
  23. That is one thing we know about the attacks on the 7th that is untrue though. Unless you mean "not a member of Hamas or Palestinian from Gaza" with "who they were". They killed Thais, Arabs, Filipinos, Chinese, Nepalis among others.
  24. Is that a trick question? Take a look at the Nuremberg Laws. The people who tried to kill Jews the hardest had very clear definitions. Behaviour and religions was mostly irrelevant in the end except when it came to edge cases with "mixed" blood. I guess nowadays it would mainly be DNA based though for people who don't follow the religion.
  25. That involved a total military defeat followed by an occupation. All major allies either switched sides or were defeated too(including the only two uses of nuclear weapons in war). Also all of the leaders either died or were arrested. That would require a massive escalation and expanding the war to most of the middle east.
