  1. Yeah, I do worry on the Grenn issue. I hope I'm wrong, I was pleasantly surprised by lots of scenes that were basically straight from the book this week. I don't mind newly created material or rewritten scenes, they've done good on both types, but please......have a point to it and ya know, wouldn't hurt if the rewrite was as good or better. ;)
  2. New day and new browser, so I can finally reply quote on any computer. :cool4: I can see the point of having Jon learn that sealing the Wall is not a good idea, and eventually, he will be the one refusing to seal the gate. It just worries me twofold, that Grenn is the reason for it, and I do fear that D&D just DO stuff for the sake of doing it.......without great reasons, all the time. It would be nice to see Jon learn something (which he should already have learned from Ned, but okay, learn at the Wall), but I do fear it's more about Grenn's fate. I do hope I'm wrong on that count. I guess I'm still not over a lot of the S2 mess.
  3. Oh yeah, that's right, ITA on The Wall stuff this week. I was so happy with everything else, I totally forgot Jon and the sealing of the Wall. WTF? Now I am worried about Grenn's fate, I think that could be why they had Jon say that. How they will have him do the 180 on such feelings later??? and IF they even will......I'm scared to contemplate. And yes, the leave out stuff like Only Cat......cause they can. I think they do it to irk people sometimes, quite frankly. Or, to try their hand at writing, ROFL!!
  4. Maybe it was spec. then, I thought I saw something along those lines reading the thread, I could be wrong. I'm not one who keeps up on the entire casting list.
  5. I have to admit, that does leave me wondering, it comes off much better with Marillon to blame than to count on the Vale Lords believing she fell, on the word of LF and his 'niece.' Still, I wonder if Mord will figure into it, I see him mentioned upthread as reappearing.
  6. Yeah, I admit, I still get riled up at the loss of those lines. I agree, though, Jaime has been fabulous, that's why I miss the extras even more.
  7. They can't help but try and rewrite something, can they? LOL at Dany and Daario. Yeah, I agree, those lines are supposed to end their encounters, not start them. And yes, Jorah was happy, and I was surprised. I'd seen lots of spec that tonight would be the night that he was exiled, I was as pleasantly surprised as Jorah. DAMN, I'm gonna miss Oberyn.
  8. I'm not one who is super upset at missing the 'Only Cat' line (still think it's a better line than 'your sister'), but I can sympathize with those who are. I thought it was awful when they took "I only rescue maidens" and "I dreamed of you" from Jaime to Brienne, and I do have to wonder why they do these things...try and rewrite perfectly wonderful lines? Still, it was a terrific episode, everything was well done and we got some pie, too. HOT PIE!! Hot Pie looked like Hot Pie.
  9. OOOOOMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! I am not liking that. I don't like the idea of losing Grenn, I think he does a good job with the role. I'm going to be stubborn and hope that Grenn goes for some help reinforcing the gate.
  10. I almost think they chose a name that the pronunciation could be questionable on.
  11. That too. I just wanted to be sure I didn't babble everyone into silence, LOL Just reading all the articles about the show and the controversy is making me tired, probably because well, I'm tired, too, I'll just be the quiet one in the corner, unless I come up with something interesting.
  12. LOL, it might take a rewatch. I know I had two little things to ask about, one being Tywin's order to lockdown the harbor. It'll come to me, I think. :blushing:
  13. Luckily, I've only seen segments of Graves comments, not read entire articles. He's not helping, atall. I actually have some articles loaded now, and will read inbetween getting a few things done and just trying to have a little fun posting while I do. I do think I have another little gem, like Tywin and the ship seizure, LOL, but I can't quite remember what it is right now. It'll come to me. ;) I hope.
  14. Oh, parody video. Thank you. Big Smile And, on Kit and Jon, thanks, hadn't read it so thought I would ask. Thank you again.
  15. I noticed that right away, but became distracted with Jaime and Cersei scenes yesterday. I'm just staying away from that subject today, I think. It'll be what it'll be, and the show will probably never re-address it onscreen.
  16. I'm still not over Sam not sending the ravens, and I usually point out: How could he........you had him digging latrine ditches, LOL But, yes, I'm just mostly happy to see Edd and Grenn. I love Edd and the two of them make a good pair onscreen, too.
  17. I wanted to ask: Are we sure that these words of Kit's (about him knowing about Bran offscreen, and him laughing about that) didn't mean that it was Kit who knew the truth, instead of Jon. Just wondering, I know Kit seems to have a good sense of humor, and I was wondering if that comment of his was clear or not?
  18. One thing I've been meaning to mention: Did anyone notice Tywin, at the beginning of the episode, giving the order to seal the harbor or seize all the ships in the harbor? I suspect that will be how he comes across Shae? Not sure if this idea was posted yet, I haven't read the entire thread.
  19. I'm not sure they even said why Edd and Grenn were held. They showed the chain marks and that was about it, other than Edd mentioning something about NOW Craster's wives realize Daddy was a treat compared to the black crows. I will admit, part of me didn't like the idea of saying Edd and Grenn were held captive. It makes them look weak, in some ways, and they've done plenty already to make a mess out of story at and beyond the Wall the last few seasons. But, all in all, I am happy to have both Edd and Grenn back. I'm not sure why they didn't just have the two return with brothers as was done in the book. I suspect it was to give us the reminder of Craster's Keep so the new raid could be planned on it?
  20. I'm a little worried that they've marked up our Edd with those chain scars, but if it means we actually get some dialogue, I'll be happy. I wonder if they will take Edd and Grenn back to Craster's Keep for the attack? THAT would give Edd lots to grumble about.
  21. I do agree with the idea that Oberyn has already spent waaaaaaaaaaay too much time in THE brothel onscreen. I did want to point out that Oberyn does eventually mention to Tyrion (I believe during a cell visit) that he really DID visit the brothel and instead of finding a blonde, he had met Alayaya and mentions those lovely scars she now has, iirc. Still, here's hoping Oberyn is done with brothel duty. Not that I don't enjoy a peek at him and Ellaria, but it'd be nice to see THEIR actual quarters in The Keep.
  22. I used to think, bookwise, that it might have mattered that Bronn is the one who found Shae and the how and the when and where, but with both her and Tywin dead, now I'm not so sure. Yes, I suppose technically it could still come up if Bronn or someone else in the know explains things to Tyrion on a return to Westeros, but I do doubt it, so far. As far as the show and Bronn and Shae and this idea of betrayal, I'm not so sure that I think Bronn has as of now, or will, turn on Tyrion. I also never considered it a betrayal in the books. It was totally unreasonable for Tyrion, or anyone for that matter, to expect Bronn to die for Tyrion in a fight with The Mountain. It's not the same situation as the one in the Vale, and Bronn was right, he shouldn't have to DIE for Tyrion, that's a bit a much. Now, in the books, yes Bronn took the marriage deal from Cersei, but he took the deal for the bride and whatever else for something that he'd already decided, not to fight the Mountain for Tyrion. It was too iffy of a gamble for him, and I don't blame him, and book Tyrion didn't either. If Cersei was dumb enough to give him something, that's her own damn fault, although.....she was also dumb enough to try and take it away from Bronn again. Now, I'm not sure the Lollys situation will be played out in the show (it could, in some respect, eventually), but still, as of now, I don't think Bronn has betrayed Tyrion in the show, and I'm thinking that if anything, a somewhat working relationship with Jaime will keep Bronn around without betraying Tyrion on the show, too. I suppose TV audiences are used to Bronn getting Tyrion out of trouble, but I'm not one who is sold on the idea of Bronn betraying him, even in the show. I suspect Bronn and the Crownlands, and his stepson Tyrion.......might play a part in later novels.
