Fair warning, I do sometimes get lag stutters in towns with a lot of people.

I've only ever played the elder scrolls MMO briefly, so my experience is limited. I wouldn't call it that though. You don't need help to beat the events, ussually. It seems like everything is totally managable solo. There, at least in my limited experience as a necromancer, doesn't seem to be roles like healer/tank/dps. The only unsolicited interaction I've had so far was earlier today when I was selling things, and a random person said "I need help" and invited me to a party. I helped him beat a boss and then went back to what I was doing. I do wonder if after launch, the local voice chat might... actually be populated. I never played immortal cause I'm just not a phone game person, for whatever reason. So I can't compare them. I will say it's a lot better than III.

    1) I assume so, why wouldn't there be? The story so far seems more complex and interesting than 3. 2) I haven't gotten there yet 3) Not really, I don't think. That said voice chat is disabled by default, people never seem to use text chat. You'll see people around town and occasionally out fighting. There are events where people tend to come help you out for special currency. I don't think it's that intrusive though. 4) No clue, the music hasn't really stood out so far.

If you ever need help I'm willing. I'm level 33 at the moment. There doesn't seem to be matchmaking so I just walk up to people and push up on the d-pad and then select invite from a wheel. I've just been going to every dungeon I see with a good aspect reward and trying to find all the lilith shrines. I don't want to start a second character till I have more of those bonuses that apply to every character on the world tier.
  5. Still the only one I haven't seen, I was gonna do it next.
  6. There's a guy in the main town, like bottom left corner of the map. The occultist I think? He can draw powers from legendaries and apply those and the "aspects" you get for beating dungeons to rare weapons to make them legendary. Edit: Another tip, if you hit Y/Triangle/W on the map screen you'll see the region rewards. I just got two skill points and the ability to hold another healing potion by claiming mine.
  7. on SteamOS? I just put it on my windows one cause I figured it would be easier. But I can't get it to recognize the built in controller. Halo does but this won't. So I broke out an Xbox controller and am using that. Apparently it works on linux so I may have to switch over at some point.
  8. I haven't found it that hard, I think I got pretty lucky with my skill picks. I've got 10 minions and mostly rely on an ability that leaves a damaging pool on the floor that slows enemies and increases the damage they take. I also feel like I've been lucky with drops! or the algorithm is a lot more rewarding than the last one of these I played. I like how you can use those aspects to upgrade a yellow into a legendary. I've already got two. As for getting mobbed, I put some points into this blood mist ability that makes me invincible and slowly heals for a bit. There must be something kinda similar for the barbarian to get you out of tough jams.
  9. The last TOS episode I watched was Obsession, with the killer gas cloud. There's a scene where the gas is coming in a vent, spock tries to shut it but the switch breaks. So he starts trying to block the vent with his hand even though it's clearly too big. At least the show can be funny sometimes.
  10. Yeah, I have no idea what to pick, and it doesn't seem like a straightforward skill tree? I haven't encountered any other players yet. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough. I wonder if this game warrants it's own thread?
  11. I'm no expert but I'd expect the penalty for that would be a fine, not jailtime.
  12. It does look great, for some reason it doesn't seem to recognize the steam decks controls in windows, so I've mostly been trying to figure that out. Edit: Alright now I beat the first boss! I thought for sure he was gonna crush me but this second world teir doesn't seem too hard so far. I didn't realize I could summon more than one skeleton at a time until that fight.
  13. I've only played 3 and the remake of 2, but I chose necromancer cause I remembered liking that in 2.
  14. I too am a weak weak man. I'm supposedly queued for login <1 minute. Edit: oh wait it's working. at least I got some options and a cutscene
  15. Don't forget the short treks! Some of them have SNW characters. The one with Jon Benjamin and the tribbles is great.
  16. I'm not really a .gif / meme guy. but I desperatly need one of that egg dude. I cannot recall the last time so few frames of animation made me laugh so hard. AOL days. and I loved that his interface was a weird version of like macs from the 90's. YES
  17. This is not exactly an original complaint, but I always thought Magnolia was an overlong overrated version of Short Cuts. Parts of it are unquestionably great, but others don't land and it's so long. I'd call it an interesting failure.
  18. Of the six closest theaters to me that I used to got to, four are closed forever. The other two are smaller three screen theaters, one shows mostly independent films. That said, don't feel too bad for me. There are options within reasonable driving distance, or I could always take a train into queens. But I rarely bother anymore. I remember for a while my cable provider had a "free movie tuesday" deal with the theater that was just three blocks down my street. We saw a lot of shitty movies just because. The Spirit stands out. Probably the worst movie I ever saw in a theater. and I saw both Waterworld and Junior in theaters.
  19. Don't get me wrong, so do I. I'm going to watch the movie, I'm just in no rush. There was zero chance I was going to go see this in theaters before the reviews and plot leak. Mostly cause both theaters in town closed during covid.
  20. oh absolutly. I remember when the plot of Avengers: Endgame leaked people were sooo dissapointed "this movie is gonna suck, wtf the plot makes no sense" and then of course everyone loved it. I would say that this leak is unusually detailed, the guy must have been taking notes. I have a rather active imagination it's not hard for it to come alive in my mind. I'd be pleased if the movie turned out good, but I'm skeptical because last I checked it was hovering around 50% on metacritic and RT. I wont say anything about the plot I read and why that makes me skeptical I'll enjoy the movie, but I have reasons.
  21. I lean towards thinking that if a movie isn't enjoyable when you already know the story, it probably wasn't a great movie.
  22. Never saw it! Let me go read the wikipedia plot summary...
  23. That's crazy, I thought you had to be mistaken. I could have sworn we got some of his backstory with Walt and the mom in season one. I guess the first two seasons blur together a bit.
  24. Seems unlikely, but imagine Hader does another seemingly unrelated show for HBO and one episode THE RAVEN shows up.
