I think you mean the wights, there were two white walkers on horseback. The wights were described as slow and clumsy in the books and they are essentially zombies so how else are they supposed to act :P??

It seemed like a perfect opportunity to drop an AA reference in Stannis and Melisandre's scene. I'm really confused about why they continually avoid any prophecy mentions.

I am actually enjoying the Quarth storyline more than the one in the book. The House of Undying scene in the COK felt like an anvil fell on your head. In the show the capabilities of the warlocks are being shown more so that should help soften the blow. Overall it was my favorite episode of the season.

The scene where Theon executed Ser Rodrik was one of the strongest in the episode but I'm worried about the repercussions it might cause. Now ramsay cannot kill him and the rest the men returning from Torrhens Square as he did in the book so when he comes to "liberate" Winterfell he can hardly be seen as the SOB that he is. GRRM said in an interview that he doesn't consider any of his characters wholly evil but Ramsay is as close it gets. I want his portrayal in the show to match this.

With the change to Jon's story I'm worried that his fight with Quorin Halfhand might turn out ot be real, rather than an effort to prove Jon as a turncloak, or not shown at all. In either case Jon will seem less loyal to the Night Watch.
