Watch, Watched, Watching: Watching Severance and working for Lumon

Snatch is a classic and I’ve seen Layer Cake. Will definitely check out the others. One of my favorite gangster movies ever is Animal Kingdom and that’s from Australia. Not a typical gangster film but it is about a crime family. -

Yup, we’re doing this. So I’m like 75 minutes into Killers of the Flower Moon. Does it pick up? I fell asleep and I’m not really motivated to go back tbh. -

That’s pretty crazy to me. How someone can watch that movie and not remember Keoghan or at least his character . I haven’t read the books in a while so I started a listen this week during cardio/gym and all that. Good to be back. I watched The Empty Man recently. It sounds like a cheesy early 2000’s teenie horror movie but it was actually pretty solid. The opening sequence was amazing. Like legitimately one of the best horror openings I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately it peaked there but the movie itself was pretty good. It goes into some weird unexpected shit but I recommend. -
I turned that game off when Kentucky was up by like 7 with under a minute.

I have yet to see Saltburn or Banshees but Keoghan killed it in The Killing of a Sacred Deer. He’s also been really good in everything else I’ve seen him in- a small part in The Green Knight, The Shadow of Violence and some others. Speaking of Barry, I finally rewatched Dunkirk after being initially let down the first time at the theatre. I really don’t know what I was thinking. It’s great. -
0-21 now! Crazy. The Ollie years sucked. Uconn was overdue for a stinker. Everything had been going way too smoothly.

Uconn is ridiculous right now. They played their like B- game on offense today and beat Marquette by 28. Weirdly, the biggest blowout ever for a top 5 conference matchup in the AP era. I made some dough on Kentucky getting 8.5 today. I should’ve bet the money line. I knew they were due but had some doubts after seeing it Pearl’s pregame speech.

Damn, Volk got slept. Topuria is legit. I was nervous for Volk and that’s obviously why. Ilia has crazy technique, so smooth. ETA: All favorites won until the main event, and that was close odds.

Watch, Watched, Watching: It's Award Season

Sexy Beast is a must watch. It actually has a series now on Showtime, or something, which I randomly came upon the other day. It’s not getting the best of reviews though, and the few minutes I did watch were meh. They used a quote from the movie that was so forced and came off cringey as hell. But anyways, the movie is great. -

I saw this yesterday. It was an interesting take on the events of that time. Mild spoilers I guess- Glazer is 3-3 with me. I’ve never seen Birth, but he’s also directed a bunch of good music videos too looking at his IMDB page now. -
The execution of the crankiness. It just seems over-the-top at times. Also, I think the show is going out of its way to show it over and over again and taking away from other stuff that could be more interesting. Like the scene when she went to the hotel then left abruptly after her son was brought up. I understand why they did the scene, but was it needed?
