  1. @polishgenius I was sorry to see what happened at Bloody Elbow. I’ll miss the articles, as well as the deserved critiques of the culture that, unfortunately, seems to permeate the mma business and fandom. Hope all else is well.

While I have little doubt Trump has policy for sale, I have no idea what you mean by "most likely around unions"?

There are some problems with rank and file idiots that are deluded enough to believe Republicans have something to offer, the majority of Internationals still understand that Trump is a wolf in sheeps clothing and is not a friend to Labor.

A few renegade Unions not withstanding, weve rarely had 100% uniformity, but the majority of National leadership will still be funding Democrats, were not going to bail the Orange pos.

I’m pretty sure that they mean that the policies sold would be anti-union, which would benefit Musk.

    It's Sinistro from X Men

So you’re talking about Mister Sinister. Who had a female version introduced in the comics over ten years ago. Why are you complaining about something you obviously have little interest in or knowledge of?

And to bring it back on subject, I’m thinking of watching Pluto on Netflix. Has anyone watched it? Did you enjoy it?

They probably didn't get that it was satire either. Sigh. We teach our kids nothing these days.

I think they were people who aren’t familiar with the trope and are fans of fantasy, hoping that they were finally getting a black centric film in the genre. Though maybe I’m being charitable.

Wonder if the same section of the public which is having a hissy fit over the Obamas' Leave the World Behind,

will realize this is a satire?

I’ve actually seen a couple black folks complaining, because they thought this was going to be a black oriented fantasy film. Think Harry Potter and other franchises.

  6. Ugly late stoppage in the Turner/Green fight. In my opinion, when a fighter drops face first like that, with no attempt  to put his hands up, the fight is done. I would have had no problem with it being called right there. I doubt anyone but Dominic Cruz would have.

    Huh.
I mean ,I'm gonna go watch it, but it looks a lot more green-screened than I would really hope for.

I think I’ll need some convincing before I put down my money. The trailer looks like a ton of green-screen and cgi, exactly the opposite of what made the action so amazing in Fury Road. Meh.

Is the NFL and NBA torture porn for those living in NY, but not from there?

ETA: Yay Mostert, get me those points!

Rare do you see 335 yards vs. 50. They're going to have to fire the coach.

How much is the coach to blame vs the GM? Their qb today is likely there because of Rodgers. Their OC, who somehow is still their playcaller, is there because of Rodgers. Is the coach or GM more to blame for how they kowtowed to A-A-Ron to get him?

Hey @Ran, question, where's a good place to talk about what we're *not* watching, because it's clear as day the movie's going to fall apart? (As in: Scream VII, which looks to have been ghostface'd this morning.) Want to make sure I put it into the correct thread and not give you a headache.

Obviously not Ran, but I think that’s fit well in the upcoming movies and tv thread. I’ll see if I can find it.

    Honestly, I don't either.

I understood the baseball kerfluffle a few years ago when they were signaling with a buzzer or some sort.  But I don't see how this is appreciably different than just watching a ton of film.  :dunno:

I think the difference would be in what you’re seeing. Game film wouldn’t concentrate entirely on the coaches/play callers, whereas I think the implication right now is that they were the ones being specifically recorded. Used in tandem with game film, you probably have a much higher chance of learning and being able to anticipate the calls being made. Maybe?

Which apartment are you guys roleplaying for your V? i think for me , The Glen fits in best, as he is a corpo rat but also dosent want to be reminded of it constantly by living in corpo plaza and glen is large and luxurious enough in the second best neighborhood with the best views and a nice nearby park (reconcilation park). also even though everyone keeps referring to V as a kid, i feel my character feels like hes atleast in his mid 30s, going by the voice acting and the dry, experienced dialogue choices i make while roleplaying him. Corpo path also has a long history in NC already which is more fitting for a guy in his late 30s. Car wise i honestly just stick with that free, sports/weaponized car you get during one of the delamaine quests, its great looks wise and as a tank and for speed. May eventually get the Hellhound and the Caliburn when i have eddies to burn, right one still upgrading my quick hacks,Mantis blades and cybergear, reached level 42 and still got alot of improvements to make on that front.

My choice of weapons seems to have locked in finally to( specializing in tech, reflex and cool(20) with remaining minor points to be put in INT and Body)

    1) Lizzie (best tech pistol IMO)

2)Widowmaker (tech precision rifle that works well in combo with my knife)

3)Stinger(best knife and works well with widow for the poison+bleed combo)

There’s a free Caliburn you can get in the Badlands.

Been on a horror kick lately and getting some recommendations from r/horror.

Anything for Jackson was the first rec that I actually watched and I loved it. I’m a sucker for demon possession movies done right and this one worked, and was actually original.

I rewatched A Dark Song for the first time since it came out. A real slow burn but very impressive with what they got out of the actors and budget. Not for everyone but I think it’s solid.

I also rewatched The Blackcoat’s Daughter. I legitimately love this movie. The atmosphere and sense of dread throughout is great. This one is also a slow burn but absolutely delivers in the end. I’ve watched it with a few people who loathe it though. Another not for everyone I guess.

I might have to see if I can find the other two films you mentioned, because I absolutely love The Blackcoat’s Daughter. Such a great film, and it lends itself well to repeat viewings.
