A Man Is A Man

I really don't see what the big deal is about the show finishing before the books. I think by now we can see that the show and the books are separate entities, with characters and events happening differently between them. After seven seasons or whatever, we will get the show version of ASOIAF, and eventually, 240 years from now, we will get the finished book versions. ;) Both can be good, both can be separate and different from each other, and both can be enjoyed on their own terms.

Even though a lot of book-readers decry that they've muted Cersei's character a bit, if you talk to unsullied watchers of the show they all think she is an evil mega-bitch, which is basically what she is in the books. So, I think they've just decided to pull back on showing every scene with her as this nutty evil woman and give us a few more shades, but the effect is the same. I don't know anyone that ever sympathizes for Cersei.

But at least those wigs on Jamie and Tyrion were, you know, BLONDE.

I am sympathetic to Stannis-fans for the "blackwashing" he has gotten but ho boy did Jamie get raped (he says ironically).

I'm starting to lose faith in the show. It's one thing to simplify complex characters and "white-wash" them, it's another to completely destroy a redemption character-arc. Jamie Lannister, we hardly knew ye.

Gendry's genitry was sucked like it was never sucked before!!! Butt seriously, this episode was pretty good, I just wish they had given more screen time to Robb and Cat this season, when the RW hits next episode, it's really not going to have the earth-shattering significance it should to the non-book-readers. Basically, if they could have replaced all the needless Theon torture scenes (that were never even in the book) with more Robb/Cat, we would be in good shape. But alas, no.
