Guess Littlefinger didn't imagine this scenario in his mind

The Iron Born are so easily swayed

So were they only one quick sprint away from the horde the whole time

I guess I'm in the minority here but I don't hate Arya for calling out Sansa. The sibling rivalry is the only way the show explores Sansa's inner monologue that she feels entitled to credit for winning The Battle of the Bastards and reclaiming Winterfell and deserving of the rule of Winterfell. She pretends to be neutral but arguing with her sister brings her back down to the juvenile level of saying things out loud that she normally would not

Gendry is a legit fish out of water in this group.
Like "Wtf is going on with the dynamics for this place??"
Poor guy. In any other group he could have been considered a bad ass. Now he's the whining weak link

I missed the text of the scroll. Did anyone catch it?

Annulment...

Poor Jorah. He just showed up and is already on the losing end of the Dany-Jon-Jorah love triangle

Nice that Drogon has a controlled burn

The maester's lecture sound like Dumbledore lecturing Harry Potter right before awarding points to Griffindore

I hated the sand snakes but I think I will hate what Cersei will do to them more

Stop thinking too deeply about this, D&D don't.
Not trying to think too deeply. Just not sure why the phrase "small council meeting" is lost on him.

Does he really need to announce all of his decisions to the group? Announcing your plans only brings dissension

This scene has already lasted longer than necessary

Daenerys seems a little high-handed this episode

I'm so glad this didn't follow the usual formula of episode 1's in recent years, where they just touch base with the main characters in case you've forgotten their names or something, but nothing actually happens.
I think the death of the Freys set up the dynamic of the power struggle; Cersei's dialogue establishes what Sansa said to Jon (concentration on the threat above the wall while there is a threat south of it); flash of the threat north of the wall and regular appearances of the players set everything up nicely

Either this show has been gone for so long that everything seems entertaining or this is truly one of the best first episodes they have done in a while

these Lanister solders are the nicest in the series. Normally there are threats of rape and a beating right off the bat
-
Did he sail all the way there to make an offer and then come back later with proof that he is a bad ass
-
Sansa...never tell anyone outside the family what you are thinking

knew it a million years ago but still have chills!!!!!!

Don't blame them. The wall falling just means they have to resume the slowest moving parade ever
