Ummm... As I recall that has been done in LOTR, with Gandalf :) There was no closure. Every scene needed like a line extra to be finished. The season doesn`t seem rounded enough. I liked Asha, Small Council, mutiliation of Robb`s body (wicked, but I liked it somehow). Strangely, Jon`s storyarc was complete and epic failure. I mean, if it`s not funny, it would be sad... As for Dany, I liked the music, nothing more... Sansa, oh Sansa, my dear Sansa... another epic failure. You would think we would see someone telling her, or at least her telling some great line about her family. But, no, we saw her crying... Obviously they thought it`s enough. Arya was so cool, and Theon was again boring. I honestly don`t see how anyone spread his storyarc on 6 episodes (IIRC), but they did it. I enjoyed seeing Maester Aemon and Greyjoys back, as also Jaime. I thought Cersei`s engagement would end once Jaime is back, but we got only one word from him. Varys was enjoyment, especially with Joffrey. His face was changing in such manner I liked it so much... All in all, not bad, but far from the season finale in which we saw Dracarys action and RW. It should have been better...

Well, they made Sansa kneel, and they equalized their sufferings during the wedding. It`s normal to expect this. So sad, and yet so true...

That speech of hers was the best part of DWD. Actually, the only part where I was all exilirated. But, I meant they could use the line before to describe the pain of Sansa or Arya. And, since we don`t have any Northern lord in the show, I would rather be satisfied if the line is inserted to be told by Starks, not Lannisters. Even in deformed form, it was bad listening to Lannister saying that. But, we can only hope to see Manderlys...

True... But I hate the fact that line is deformed and given to Tyrion... It would be a noce touch if they have given it to one of the girls.

Well, since we don`t have any Northern Lord to say it (like Manderly or Lady Dustin in the books), the only remaining Northerners are Starks. And, btw, I am not whining...

Also, about the preview, am I the only one annoyed that the ultimate Northern line `North remembers` is said in different form by none other than Lannister. That line is resereved for Starks, and unless Sansa or Arya (I doubt boys will find out about RW in the next episode) say the line, I will be genuinly pissed...

As years before, when I first read that scene in the books, watching it was above dificult and gut-wrenching. Red wedding scene was not in book tone. This is not chaotic climax we had in Catelyn`s and Arya`s POV where you were trembling from hatred, this was toned down a bit, but very effective. I have to say it was another look at the wedding, and I liked it as much as you can love that sort of scene. Michelle Fairley`s character will be gone for some time (I imagine we won`t see UnCat next weekend), and she will remained unused treasure of the GoT. She was brilliant this episode, but the writing overall this season was bad, and now the chance is missed. The way camera approached to her from behind where Rains of Castamere started and the way doors are closed, in a very sinister way showed how toned, but effective scene will be. What we lack in chaos, we certainly got in astonishing viciousness of killing Talisa. This was the scene we all perversly enjoyed in, and it, unlike the wedding from last episode, completely lived up to its reputation. And now to Bran and Rickon, who actually spoke something. I cried thrice during GoT, when Rodrick Cassel was murdered, when Maester Luwin died, and tonight(for me morning), during Bran/Rickon conversation. It was much harder to digest this than it was with RW. When Rickon talked about protecting Bran, I was destroyed. Ygritte`s face at the end was priceless too... Now, Mhysa... Next week we`ll focus on KL and other surroundings. I already saw Sansa in tears, which means we`ll see her reaction. If they don`t come up with something to repay for what they have done to her character in episode 8, I`ll be seriously angered. Overall, great episode, with such cathartic moments... One thing is certain, no one was immune to this episode... It was perfectly horrific episode that I want to forget soon enough, but alas I think I won`t :)

I also considered Rewatching Sansa thread with book spoilers, but I renounced that idea, when I was realized it wouldn`t serve the purpose of re-evaluating the character and seeing it where did it all go wrong. But, if you open rewatch thread, I think it`ll be interesting...

My arguments, unlike yours, are not frivolous and poorly reasoned. I just don`t see the need for nudity. I like several changes from the books made for TV, not all of them, but some are rather fine by me. Don`t put me in the box of `book purists`, for I am not one of them. And my arguments are not based of what majority thinks, I have my own brain and am capable of having my individual opinion. Sometimes it`s alligned with majority, and sometimes it`s not. Pure and simple.

I am not avoiding it. I think he was completely right about that. If any show gave us so many unneccessary nudity, it`s Spartacus. When you cut down battle scenes and sex scenes, well, the show could have much less episodes. Although I do admit that battle scenes are done grotesquely beautiful and I like them, but for the sake of artistical part fo the show or even its plot, half the dozen sex scenes could have been cut off. And I see the same thing in GoT every once and a while. Me neither, but it seems that there is a great bunch of people who are so fond of those scenes that you could say that use these scene for masturbation (I am so sorry for stipulating the thread with discussion about it). The argument everyone here told me was that Carice Van Houten is hot, and none spoke of relevance of her nudity. Let we see this way. Melisandre talks to Gendry, gaining his confidence, making hiom believe that his safe, giving him all he wants, and then out of bleu she performs the ritual. There are ways that could have been done with her clothes off. As for me being in denial, I don`t understand your point, because it doesn`t make any sense.

Oh God, and when did she say she needed his blood pure? Or is it just your imagination and pure excuse for nudity? Let`s face it, there are like a hundred ways that scene could have gone. And you all know it.

You do remember that Edric was sick and was given medicine when those leeches came to Melisandre`s property. In the books, blood isn`t that clean, so I don`t get it why should we pretend like it`s important now. I gave you constructive way to evade nudity, and I think that this show would be considered more seriously, if the boys would cut on a nudity every once and a while. Melisandre did use her appeal and seduced Stannis, but I can remember only one time she was naked, with Davos when she gave birth to shadow-child. Melisandre had other ways to do that, and inability to see that is short-sightness that is rarely seen.

Actually that was constructive criticism given to the producers. And it was great remark, at least in my book. There are scenes when nudity is justified - Brienne and Jaime, Robb and Talisa, Jon and Ygritte, but to add whenever you want just for the sake of having it, is nonsensical. So, what, we haven`t seen her naked this year, big deal. We know there will always be nudity in the show. We are just against nudity for the sake of nudity. It has to have some sense of why actor/actress is nude.

I have heard it, but again that doesn`t justify the nudity. She could have poisoned him, and have the same effect.

Well, there is a difference when someone offers you champagne and caviar, and TV nudity. In champagne you enjoy, because you taste it, in TV nudity you have just a pale image that resembles, and is nothing like reality.

When you have added one or two elegant nude scenes, no one would bother with it. But, half of the times something important is said, someone is naked on the show. This scene was important and I can`t see the reason why we needed naked Melisandre where there were so many other options at the table? And when someone wants to include nudity in every episode, read what director of Blackwater episode said - Ran quoted him, we have to ask what`s the point? And in both times I was thinking more of nude scenes than entire show. I expressed myself badly.

When you add nudity for no reasons, then you are more interested in it than in the story you are telling with the scene. And in this scene, it seemed lik Melisandre`s nudity was more importnat than what she has actually been doing. I don`t understand why Gendry couldn`t be paralised, and her not due to her ruby around the neck. Why did we have to see her naked? As Ran wonderfully said in his analysis of Second Sons, if we wanted to see nudity, we would watch Spartacus or something else.

Explain me why did we need a naked Melisandre to preform leeches ritual, and why of all places his penis was the best place to put one (although Robb`s penis led him to his doom, so that might be some kind of foreshadowing)? I understood when Brienne and Jaime were naked, even with Jon and Ygritte, it was normal for Robb and Talis. This one is simply above me. I don`t see what kind of story her boobs and buttocks are telling, but that`s just me.
