  1. Sansa as queen is great and Ghost is back. The rest was incoherent garbage fan service after Jon killed Dany. Either he bonds with Drogon and is the new king or Greyworm kills him on the spot. In no world is he thrown in jail. They basically made R+L=J on show pointless. His heritage was for nothing. He gathers forces to fight the Others but he didn't need to be a Targaryen to do that. It only served to create conflict with Dany and according to D&D was a huge part of what turned her mad. They never gave a reason why the two of them didn't just get married as they were supposed to be in love. Even if he was just Jon Snow that was the obvious solution from the start.
  2. Poison is the default. You should be asking why she has an antidote. Obviously so you could spare the people that wanted or needed to. She clearly wants that D.
  3. The nudity may have been the most plot relevant we've seen in the series lol.
  4. Crying and begging for help from the man who murdered her brothers (she thinks).
  5. I was referring the first scene they showed us with the non broken Sansa. I guess all she needed was a walk and some fresh air to get over it? This is just terrible writing. She could kill Ramsay and Roose next week. Littlefinger could show up with Cersei and all her enemies gagged for her to kill but it wouldn't made this dumb as nails arc make sense. The writers just thought it would be "super fresh" to put her in Jeyne's role without doing any of the work so they did it. If they had really planned this since season 2 then they must have forgotten about it completely until the day before the scripts were due this year.
  6. So now Sansa has become Jeyne off-screen between episodes? rofl "Forget everything we've done the last two seasons because we undid it in 20 minutes of screen time". Just wait for her to have another complete reversal when the writers feel it suits them but will not make any more sense than it has here.
  7. I rolled my eyes more than a couple of times but I liked so much of the episode, even some things I didn't like I think make sense. Every episode I see more and more it was a HUGE mistake to not have Ygritte and the wildlings attack in like the first episode. All this raiding and killing women/children is hurting that arc. Jon's race to the Wall and packing up Mole's Town to save them/defend Castle Black would have just been great TV. THEN you could have let the Wall chill off until the end of the season and Stannis' arrival. The stuff with Grey Worm and Missandei is a confusing distraction but it's for the viewers and I fear it may set up a soul-crushing Grey Worm death. Lysa a suicide and Sansa just straight Starking herself? That may work out to make sense in a way but I'm not sure where they are going with it. Also, a huge shift in Sansa's character. Does this lend credence to Winds of Winter theories? Anyway, it's way different but I was totally locked in from the moment Littlefinger suggested that it was suicide. I don't like Sansa sort of accepting Littlefinger's perving of her but the fact that she is trying to take control is a nice change. Roose must have been holding back that letter declaring Ramsey a Bolton for a long time. I kind of like that. It's very much like Roose to do that. Jorah getting the boot exactly as we figured they might do it and it does work for the show. Fucking A, they are legit trolling us by giving Jojen's catch phrase to Oberyn. The fight was amazing though and I still felt such pain seeing Oberyn get cocky instead of just finishing him off. For a second I almost believed. That punch knocking out like half his teeth was just nuts. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't The Mountain stay pinned down by the spear in the book?
  8. It does crack me up how little traffic the non spoiler thread gets. Just coming in here and reading the titles of topics can be spoilers. Can any show-only watchers answer me why they would come here with spoilers all over the place? I'm assuming it's just people that don't care much about learning things ahead of time. I understand that. For most things I don't care about spoilers at all.
  9. It's possible they'll bring him in next season and just have kept him out until needed so they can cast the right actor and not have to recast him. Maybe they haven't decided if they will have Kevan come back or not. I thinking reference to his nephews just was talking about the younger generation. Kevan would be old, just like Tywin, so he couldn't be the future of the house.
  10. Last episode was pretty crappy but this one really didn't have any serious problems. I'll never understand how some people can hate an episode so entirely when nearly everyone else agrees it was a great episode. I could understand you being lukewarm but not outright hate. Care to explain your opinion?
  11. Tight quarters? Did you see how much room they had? No way.
  12. I think the issue there is that Jon really had the advantage of reach with Longclaw versus Karl's two knives. That fight was all for TV drama.
  13. A 9. It delivered enough of what we needed/wanted and the stuff I didn't like was all minor nitpicks.
  14. This is the first episode of the season I didn't like. There was some really good stuff in there but overall not having the Ygritte battle right away this season has really screwed a bunch of things up. HBO clearly doesn't have the budget for certain things so they change them for the worse. It's such a shame because they've made so many wonderful changes as well. Oh well, it was a medicore episode but better than most of what's on TV.
  15. And how the heck did they get it up there?
  16. See, that makes sense to us readers but we haven't seen a lot of logical thinking from Stoneheart. The fact is that Jamie tried to make good on his oath and has grown a whole lot so I'm sure we all hope that Stoneheart can be be made to see that. If he lives I feel he can do something important before the end.
