  1. How do you know if you are sure? I have not seen a lot of references on your wiki
  2. That could be although it would be confusing. After his transformation Jaqen has a scar on his nose (and curly hair besides!) Sounds a lot like a description of the man in front. Anybody find a reference? I only found speculation. Most of it that Jaqen is hooded man and some that he is the man in front. Btw had any luck with the pictures yet?
  3. Because the men other men were not missing a nose I assumed that the hooded man must be Rorge. The man in front had curly hair and a scar, which matches the description of Jaqen (after his transformation but never the less). So I thought he must be Jaqen. But I guess not showing the guy has some benefits for HBO as you pointed out. Anybody a good reference?
  4. Got it! Found a svg heraldry file on commons and made the new Tarly coat of arms.
  5. Thank you for the compliment. I did not make the Tarly coat of arms on the wiki as I could not find anything (without copyright) that resembles a striding huntsman. PL is probably right; someone may have read "riding" in stead of "striding". I posted a remark to the creator about this. As long as we do not have a better coat of arms I suggest we leave the current one in place.
  6. In chapter 33 of A Feast for Crows (Jaime) it is stated that Lewys is the son the of a river lord. As Clement Piper is not dead he must be Lewys father.
  7. Yes I think we should do that as well. I don't know much about the board and card game but I will definitely get the computer game and will make an article for it.
  8. Dorne also has a bit of Wales. Isolated from the rest of the land by mountains. The only part that was conquered by "the Conqueror" (William / Aegon). A slightly different attitude to bastardy. Different succession rules. And of course the title: Prince instead of King.
  9. So if I am correct the reader of the article will choose the filter. The article will then show the appropriate sections. Correct? On a functional level this is standard work; give a variable a value. Then based on the value this or that action is taken (show / unhide certain section). I don't know what the possibilities of Wiki templates are but the idea is great.
  10. I wonder the same thing. Don't know how we can improve this. It does help that new articles appear on a lot of pages on the right site of page. That was a smart idea that helped to make forum users aware of the wiki. They did not become major contributors but there were quit a few minor edits because of this. Wikipedia is doing a major cleanup of the ASOIF pages there. I will post a notice on the project page there to invite people who want to contribute to AWOIAF
  11. I have no intention to inflame emotions any further but I appreciate the contributions of everybody. Evrach's contributions are very much appreciated as are yours Pale Griffin. So let's discuss the verbs.
  12. PG, Your opinion about how the article should be written is quit clear. But what if somebody else feels that it should be written differently? What then? Should the other person or you leave the wiki because of a different opinion? Or should we start an edit war? I think the solution should be to post to the forum how you feel that the article should be written. If there is already a policy about this feel free to state why you think it should be different. But if you keep changing the article after someone pointed out there was already an opinion about this you are bound to step on someone's toes.
  13. It could be a courtesy title. Vary and Bloodraven are called Lord though they have no lands.
  14. I don't think Stannis gave Sallador a castle so it is probably only a title or rank of a commander. Like the title Robb gave his uncle: Warden of the Southern Marches. Or like the titles of the Lannister like you said.
  15. At this moment there are no pages per year, all years link to the appropriate section of Years after Aegon's Landing. So if you would add a reference to say for instance year 299 AL, you have to add "[[299 AL]]". Then if you click the page you will go to the section 299 AL within the article "Years after Aeogon's Landing". Maybe you could add the year in the table in the beginning of the article. I was think about expanding that part to include a link to the next chapter of the same POV character. A picture of the character would also be nice. Does anybody know of pictures of POV characters that we can you use (under the GNU Free Documentation Licens ect)
  16. Last week we passed the 1.000 articles!!! A major landmark for our wiki. Congratulations and cheers everybody!
  17. The wiki is still down. Is the maintainer still ill?
  18. Hey Lordberry,

Do you know why I am not allowed to make edits on La-garde-de-nuit?

I asked a few users to help me but to no avail. Most did not bother to reply.

    Is there a problem?

    Cheers Scafloc

  19. Pate had been Joffrey's whipping boy as well:
  20. There is a problem when in a template a calculation is made. It does not seem to work. I used this to determine which Feature quote should be selected (for the Main Page). I have a temporarily fix that selects the Feature quote number that corresponds to the day of the month (there is no calculation in that). This means the quotes with a number > 31 will not be selected. But I guess that is acceptable.
  21. Hey lordberry,

Great work in setting up the pages. We still have to add data to it but with a link to the French wiki we can make a start for them.

There is not a real organization on the English wiki but we have some policies and we use a few useful templates.

    References for copied material:

-For material that is copied from Wikipedia we use the template: h

  22. Looks nice but shouldn't it have three heads? I copied the tourney info to Tourneys in Westeros. We have enough info about the Strongholds and the wars in other pages.
