  1. She could carry a lantern. They are a thing. Why do people get so hung up on dumb shit? This is what makes me crazy about this board at times.
  2. Maybe that's what prompts Jon to send off Sam. The Wall needs a new Maester and he wants Sam to be it.
  3. I'm wondering if Sam takes Shireen with him to save her from the flames? Is Sam ever going to leave the Wall? I actually liked this episode except for Ellaria/Sand Snakes. They are too hokey. I wasn't a Sand Snakes book fan either, so meh on that. I loved: Sansa/LF in Winterfell. I know it makes no book-sense, but it's better than Sansa doing nothing and having all that FakeArya crap. All the R+L=J hints dropped all over the damn place! Stannis made me tear up. Jaime thinking of Brienne. Very much a book nod. Barristan's Rhaegar story. Don't like that he's dead though. Bronn and Jaime road trippin'. Jorah and Tyrion road trippin'.
  4. I am confused as to where the Brienne plotline is going. At first, I thought Pod was going to get captured by the Vale group and it would be the get me Jaime or Pod dies plot. But, I guess this is somehow following the Winterfell stuff and Brienne and Pod might be the spearwives. I got a little teary at Lyanna Mormont's letter. Thanks for throwing us bookies a crumb, D&D. I loved seeing Jaquen again. I know this is not following the books, but oh well.
  5. In the Entertainment Weekly recap, it was said that Ollie should have gone all Oberyn on Ygritte "This is for my parents! You killed them, you ate them!"
  6. WHAT??? Nooooo! Is this for real? I'm not a book purist, but I need my Manderlys! They even showed a guy with a merman sigil at the RW. So disappoint. :(
  7. Anyone think Theon is going to meet up with Yara again at Moat Cailin? IDK, I have to think the Yara stuff was had some kind of purpose. I'm really going to miss Oberyn. I hope he has a lot of scenes in the next episode. He was so good in this one. The way he sits, the way he talks. Yeah, the casting was on point.
  8. We need to have her rip the head off Sweetrobin's doll and put it on a spike too. Please!
  9. Wondering if this Craster's/Bran storyline will lead to the show finally acknowledging that Jon is a warg? Will Jon have a wolf dream and see Summer, Bran, and/or Hodor? That would make this weird storyline semi-worth it.
  10. I agree. People talk about how boring Bran's story is, how they need to spice it up, add stuff. Well, the show has already taken away some of my favorite parts of Bran's chapters. The KotLT story, the Reeds' oath, and the Liddle. Leaving out the oath made the Unsullied question the Reeds' motives, when including it (what, 5 minutes of screentime?) would have cleared that up asap. The Liddle shows what kind of person Bran is, and a bit of backstory about the mountain clans. Could have been a nice callback in the future when/if the mountain clans join in overthrowing the Boltons. I would have much rather seen that than more rape.
  11. I wanted to see black-red brick hair sculpted into shapes because I had no freaking idea what that was supposed to look like and could never picture it in my head.
  12. Right? That's why I've never understood people who think Sansa and Marg were friends/will be friends in the future, write fanfics with Sansa marrying Willas, etc. The Tyrells totally threw her under the bus. Marg might have superficially liked Sansa and felt sorry for her, but still set her up (with LF's help) to take the blame for poisoning Joffrey.
  13. :bawl: Nooooo! If that happens, Davos could no longer back Stannis. He would take his onion boat and join the Manderlys. Or hopefully he'll smuggle Shireen out. Please nothing bad happen to Shireen!
  14. That's a really good point. If they were going to mess with shit and have Brienne in KL early, there really should have been a scene with Brienne and Sansa re: Catelyn, how she served her mother, respected her, gives her condolences to Sansa. I mean we got the scene with Marg, and now another exchange. Would have taken all of a few minutes.
  15. I never thought that Bronn betrayed Tyrion. Tyrion asked Bronn to be his champion. Bronn was like "Dude, you pay me well, and you're cool and all, but that's the fucking Mountain. I'd die." and Tyrion basically is like well, thought I'd ask and doesn't seem to see it as a betrayal. Later when Bronn messes with them and names the baby Tyrion, I took that as a sign that he's still on Tyrion's side. So, IDK what to make of the show changes here. If they have Bronn outright betray Tyrion, I'll be annoyed. I do wonder if Tywin got a hold of Shae, he could have nabbed her on the ship. Or what Varys's role in all this is, if he never was going to help her get to Pentos.
