  1. I couldn't find the instagram post but here is the photo on twitter
  2. How did these clowns ever talk Harriet into signing over the rights??
  3. Rocket Lab returns to flight for its Electron rocket after a failure in September. What's interesting about this rocket is you don't hear a thud thud thud of the pumps because they are driven by electric motors. Usually, a portion of the propellants is diverted to ignite in a small chamber to drive the motors. Without that this sounds really smooth.
  4. Not surprised... I don't expect it to be good. But it will be a spectacle either way. I've started seeing Snyder Bro youtubers declaring, sight unseen, it will be replace Star Wars and Marvel and Lord of the Rings as the new cultural touchstone. Snyder himself seems like a good guy, but his cult is ridiculous.
  5. Not a trailer but the score. I had no idea Junkie XL was doing it, I'd watched just for that!

  7. The sky was blue in both too. Hmm, suspicious.
  8. I've only seen Venezuelans making comments on youtube saying they don't know a single person who went to the polls at all. I do see my relatives (i was born in Guyana) getting anxious and upset, and belligerent. Very few people live in that area, but it appears Venezuela wants it just to be able to claim the offshore petroleum that's been found. Was surprised to see Perun cover it this morning: Haven't watched the video yet.
  9. A24's entire library is going on Max, HBO and Cinemax. https://www.theverge.com/2023/12/6/23991039/a24-hbo-max-cinemax-deal-warner-bros-discovery
  10. They experienced false spring before, they knew it was a possibility. And the characters don't have to approve of the title.
  11. I really think he ought to name it THE DRAGON IN WINTER, as an allusion to The Lion in Winter, because it'll be the same sort of thing: a royal family at each other's throats for a few days, while plots are hatched, discovered, succeed or fail all around them. Remember it is a False Spring because it is actually still winter.
  12. Sounds like Ford is about to backtrack on the dissolution of Peel region after costs for it is said would lead to a massive rise in taxes in each of the 3 cities, Caldeon, Brampton and Mississauga, according to the independent assessment report done for the transition board. Brampton ~ 34%, Caledon ~ 256%. Former Mississauga Mayor, current Ontario Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie might be denied her legacy. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-government-transition-board-peel-dissolution-cost-tax-increases-1.7049940
  13. Olivia Williams seen filming on set with Shohreh Aghdashloo, so most probably cast as Queen Morgase Trakand.
  14. Made this playlist of the 44 days in 1991 when a bunch of bands came out with new albums the summer after highschool and first month I lived in the dorm at university. Metallica – Metallica (The Black Album), August 12, 1991 Pearl Jam – Ten, August 27, 1991 Guns N’ Roses – Use Your Illusion I & II, September 17, 1991 Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik, September 24, 1991 Soundgarden – Badmotorfinger, September 24, 1991 Nirvana – Nevermind, September 24, 1991
  15. Renewed for a 3rd season: https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/foundation-renewed-season-3-apple-1235821919/
  16. Was this known? Spider-Man Noir animated show in production for Amazon. Spider-Man Noir Series at Amazon Enlists ‘The Punisher’s’ Steve Lightfoot as Co-Showrunner
  17. You can't fool me. I watched The Last Kingdom. Uhtred was 99 years old and looked great! The point though is the relative ages of the two characters. William is supposed to be the younger one.
  18. Kong wearing an Infinity Gauntlet...
  19. Anyone want to identify all the Houses in that trailer after the expected Targ and Hightower ones? One looks like a lamb on a green field, one was three red chevrons on white field... Edit: I googled it, lamb is Stokeworth. The chevrons look like House Rosby. I think the shot at 0:34 might be the Winter Wolves. 0:37 looks like it could be Sunfyre vs Moondancer, but they switched the ages of the dragons, making Sunfyre younger? On the other hand, could be two different dragons -- possibly Grey Ghost, if someone managed to ride her, whereas in the book she was wild, and eaten by the Cannibal. I don't know if the golden one is golden enough to warrant the name Sunfyre. Where my Lads at? Possibly there at 0:50.
  20. That sounds exciting, but based on their ages shouldn't they each be playing the other's role? Harold is somewhere around 45 in 1066, and James Norton is 38. William is 38 in 1066, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is 53. Maybe the article is wrong.
