There seems to be multiple timelines, well at least two.
A Young Kira was cast, lending credibility to the speculation Keeley Hawes is playing the older Kira.

Distributers are hyping the show by mentioning plans to make this the first of many Orphan Black universe shows.... like how AMC has done for Walking Dead. :-|

The premiere episode of the 8th season of Fear The Walking Dead is an stunning example of unambiguously bad writing. I feel so bad for Kim Dickens, whose character came back from the dead for this shabby effort.
Way too many shows these days characters behave in ways most convenient to the plot, rather than from any believable psychological motivation. But FTWD tops all those with stunning ineptitude, having characters contradict themselves about what they want and why, within the same scene.
I almost want to encourage people to watch it to see how veiling a story with mystery and suspense can't always mask your puppets strings. There ought to be a registry for writing crimes like this.

Intriguing article about Assemble Theory, and using it as the basis for detecting life with methods agnostic towards whether it uses DNA or even carbon-based chemistries, or not.

Disney+ And Hulu Programming To Be Combined Into One App By Year’s End, Bob Iger Says
Most places in the world already have this, this is just bringing it to the U.S.
Sounds like Disney will buy out Comcast's fraction of Hulu.

The image of B5 that accompanies the Hollywood Reporter articles is from the movie. Stations, planets, ships should look great. Hopefully the characters do too.

But... while he definitely rose from the ranks to become a marketing executive at Frito Lays, he appears to have vastly overstated his role in the origin of the "Flamin' Hot Cheetos" and its spin-offs.
Oh yeah, that part is totally made up. Apparently it was a fresh out of MBA school marketing team.

That's what you get when planning by committee. The compromise is compromised.

They should parade the washing machines, dishwashers and tractors captured in the war.

We're not really going to see new galaxies at all, apart from via collision and remaking of existing ones- there just isn't enough free-floating gas in the universe anymore.
40-50% of all normal matter is in intergalactic space. Space is so big though that still just like 1 particle of hydrogen per cubic meter. It's also hot -- 10,000K to 1,000,000K.
Also, research indicates supermassive black holes are hungry, feediing off intergalactic gas even when they're in a galaxy (not all are in the galactic core -- Milky Way has around 100 million of them), so I imagine in intergalactic space they must be feeding too.

I thought Allison said something to the effect of she will remove her wool once she realizes it's all good. I understood that to mean she will remove her helmet or suit.
No, I believe she said she wouldn't clean if it was a toxic wasteland out there, but would clean if it wasn't.
I haven't read the book but my theory is they're putting poision in the suits, so to survive you need to immediate remove the helmet.

Hmm, Barry took an unexpected left turn.
