Disney+ And Hulu Programming To Be Combined Into One App By Year’s End, Bob Iger Says
Most places in the world already have this, this is just bringing it to the U.S.
Sounds like Disney will buy out Comcast's fraction of Hulu.

The image of B5 that accompanies the Hollywood Reporter articles is from the movie. Stations, planets, ships should look great. Hopefully the characters do too.

But... while he definitely rose from the ranks to become a marketing executive at Frito Lays, he appears to have vastly overstated his role in the origin of the "Flamin' Hot Cheetos" and its spin-offs.
Oh yeah, that part is totally made up. Apparently it was a fresh out of MBA school marketing team.

That's what you get when planning by committee. The compromise is compromised.

They should parade the washing machines, dishwashers and tractors captured in the war.

We're not really going to see new galaxies at all, apart from via collision and remaking of existing ones- there just isn't enough free-floating gas in the universe anymore.
40-50% of all normal matter is in intergalactic space. Space is so big though that still just like 1 particle of hydrogen per cubic meter. It's also hot -- 10,000K to 1,000,000K.
Also, research indicates supermassive black holes are hungry, feediing off intergalactic gas even when they're in a galaxy (not all are in the galactic core -- Milky Way has around 100 million of them), so I imagine in intergalactic space they must be feeding too.

Across the Spider-Verse is apparently the longest animated movie of all time, at 2 hrs 20 minutes.

I thought Allison said something to the effect of she will remove her wool once she realizes it's all good. I understood that to mean she will remove her helmet or suit.
No, I believe she said she wouldn't clean if it was a toxic wasteland out there, but would clean if it wasn't.
I haven't read the book but my theory is they're putting poision in the suits, so to survive you need to immediate remove the helmet.

Hmm, Barry took an unexpected left turn.

Sounds like even the writers have given up on this show.

About a month ago the 2023 Audie Awards streamed it's awards show, and Rosamund Pike won for best female narrator for Eye of the World audiobook. Seemed like a surprise to the hosts that she was actually in the audience. Here she gives a great acceptance speech:
Yes, probably should go to the Literature section but I didn't want to start a new topic there.

Speaking of Wes Anderson....

I will probably die of cringe if I watched this:
‘Stars On Mars’: Natasha Leggero, Ariel Winter, Lance Armstrong, Adam Rippon, Ronda Rousey Among Celebs Set For Fox Competition Series
Also featuring McLovin and Shatner (as host/Mission Control).

Is Janeway the most senior officer in Starfleet now? Would the most senior ranked officer be actually included in the cabinet of the Federation's President?

Warner Bros. Discovery Swings to $50M Streaming Profit, Says U.S. Streaming Business Will Be Profitable for 2023
Paramount Should Just Quit Streaming at This Point — Analyst

Someone reminded me it took Netflix 20 years to be profitable. Only Netflix, Hulu, and now apparently MAX are currently profitable. Everyone else is losing money. Apple has like a trillion dollars so it can absorb losses, and even buy out others.

Never heard of this book. The trailers made me think of Snowpiercer + Frostpunk, but underground instead of in the middle of an ice age. I may check the show out while I sill have AppleTV.
The book is called Wool. You might know of it under that name? I've heard of it, never read it.

I enjoyed GotG3 a lot. Probably the MCU movie I enjoyed the most since Multiverse of Madness which I really liked unlike many other people.
SpoilerI just came back from it, and one question I had was what happened to Ayesha? I must have blinked and missed it. I presume she died but I didn't notice.
Warm feelings all around for the whole thing, aside from the really dark moments.
