  1. Oh sorry, I misunderstood your original post. I've seen so much bending over backwards on this site to defend George this episode that I'm getting kinda frustrated.
  2. Why is it impossible for you to conceive that George might have written a bad scene, or one that you didnt like? Have you read Tyrion's turtle chapter? He isn't infallible!
  3. They should be taken out, because they are pointless filler, Willas especially. The show audiences have enough trouble figuring out who everyone is without spending screentime talking about a guy we're never going to meet when you have an actor around who could easily replace him.
  4. And if you read Ran's episode review he excuses GRRM by saying that he wasnt given much to work with, and then piles on the criticism of the one scene that is confirmed as not being written by GRRM, the bear scene in order to make GRRM look better.
  5. Not nonsense at all, because Thoros is kind of biased on the subject, and is not likely to admit that the Brotherhood weren't that honorable.
  6. Cant disagree that he is slightly effeminate, but promiscuous? Having casual sex with one man isn't really promiscuous. If it was clear that this was a regular occurrence then that would classify as promiscuous.
  7. This would have been absolutely horrible, horrible idea. The show has already been accused of racism, if two of the only black women in the show are prostitutes that worship sex... The shitstorm would be huge!
  8. I'm starting to really like ShowAnguy. It's a shame, because I think its almost a certainty that the Hound is going to kill him :(
  9. Low Budget??? Didnt look terrible at all, it was some of the best CGI the show has had, in no way did it look like 1970s special effects. Most TV shows have far worse CGI then this
  10. Wait, so the show is supposed to never foreshadow what happens in later books, because some people want to read the books first? This makes no sense as a criticism. Might? Please, the show is definitely going to come out before the books, unless George suddenly halves his usual writing time.
  11. How did it look fake? It looked pretty much like ice does, except for dirtier, which is appropriate. Also what were they supposed to do instead? Have them climb the Wall with no hitches at all for an episode?
  12. I'm curious, why do people dislike the Wall climb? I thought it was fairly spectacular, impressive CGI and direction.
  13. I dont think the butterfly effect will be too much of an issue, considering there going to have to make massive cuts/changes for the FfC/DwD material anyway.
  14. This, and also to show the gradual decline of the BwB from noble freedom fighters to the hateful bandits they are when LS takes over.
  15. I loved that Tormund is beginning to lighten up! I also really liked Littlefinger's speech this episode, particularly this line: "Do you know what the realm is? It's the thousand blades of Aegon's enemies: a story we agree to tell each other over and over until we forget that it's a lie." Thought that was a pretty kickass quote
  16. I agree, this story line has probably been the worst this season. But I disagree that it's been dissapointing, because Bran's POV in SoS is the worst in the book. Since when does Bran's story line move anywhere? At least there trying to develop Meera and Osha more.
  17. 7.5 - 8. Probably the weakest this season for me, though there was still plenty to enjoy Thought the direction was beautiful, and I'm also glad there spending more time developing Ygritte/Jon's relationship In terms of set pieces the Wall climb really takes the cake this season for me. The show has really come along way in terms of action. Compare the pathetic tourney in Season 1 to this! Loved the Roose scene. Flaying! The Ros reveal was deliciously dark. Loras/Sansa scene was lacking, though slightly amusing I like the Osha/Meera fight, gives them something to do, as well as setting up a possible reason for Osha to leave. (never rellay understood that part in the books)
  18. Definitely. The worst for me was the Cersei Maggy the Frog prophecy. Why couldnt Cersei just hate Tyrion for a real reason? We didnt need this valonqar bs.
  19. Damn that was a good punch! It got me thinking, is the Blackfish going to replace the GreatJon at the RW?
  20. She was, it was brought up last episode. In fact, her accusation was the main reason for the trial in the show.
  21. They werent BFFs at all! Jorah was probing Barristan to see whether he knew about the spying, then Barristan told him that maybe he should step aside as advisor. Then Jorah told him to backoff. It wasnt very friendly in the least
  22. They wanted to avoid casting the rest of the Westerlings. Also, Jeyne is dull as dishwater. Which is not to say the replacement is much better.
  23. Wasnt it like that in the books though? That first night under the furs was completely random in the books, there was almost no lead up to it. At least here there was the Season 2 flirting.
  24. I agree. Murdering children, prisoners no less, is inexcusable. I think that Robb is coming of as more likable this season, will be sad to see him go. That beheading scene was amazing, Richard Madden is really stepping up his game.
