So, in reference to the speculation around why Shireen is necessary at the wall - has anyone mentioned yet about Shireen's dream in the prologue of Clash of Kings? She tells Maester Cressen that she had a dream that she was eaten by Dragons. “I had bad dreams,” Shireen told him. “About the dragons. They were coming to eat me.” The child had been plagued by nightmares as far back as Maester Cressen could recall. “We have talked of this before,” he said gently. “The dragons cannot come to life. They are carved of stone, child." Ominous..works with the stone dragon theory too. Ugh.. too terrible a fate for such a sweet girl. I hope she doesn't go that way.

I hope people who haven't read the books aren't reading this thread, because I'm not putting things in spoiler tags. The topic says "book spoilers". I actually loved the Jon and Ygritte parts - thought the climb was amazing, obviously, but watching Ygritte's face as she sees the icy wilderness from that height for the first time in her life, then Jon bringing her to the other side of the wall to see the green south of the seven kingdoms - the place where he is from, was so powerful. The sun comes out, and my heart is breaking knowing what is to come - his betrayal and her death. Oh my poor heart... The kiss seemed sincere. I feel like those two actors have terrific chemistry. Had I never read the books, I would have wanted Jon to run away with Ygritte and live happily ever after. Then again, this aint Lord of the Rings. Too much Theon, I agree with everyone else. They could have skipped a few episodes for this. The Osha/Meera part seemed sort of useless except as a segue to the wall climb. Loved the showdown between Olenna and Tywin. However, I feel the multiple marriage pacts are confusing. I would have liked it better had Sansa gone to her wedding none the wiser, as it was in the books. She's wearing a new gown, then bam - guess what.. its your wedding! And you are marrying the imp! I'd like to know how in the heck Loras is going to become a Kingsguard now. I thought for sure this would be it.. As far as Mel and the "We will meet again" bit - I think she might just be referring to the "girl on a gray horse" thing.. sets viewers up for it only to let them down when we find out its Alys Karstark. Then again, there are so many deviations, who knows what the heck will happen by then. Also, we can't be certain the eye colors forshadow anything.. Arya kills a few people between now and then. The show hasn't followed eye color rules up to now, so how can we be certain that Daerion won't have green eyes, or the ship insurance guy? So, who is going to save Gendry?

I would rather the producers had made Shae's character ambiguous from the beginning; she seems too sincere to suddenly get up there and humiliate him during the trial convincingly, then suddenly appear in a certain person's bed.. Unless she's the best liar in the world, but it would be too cheesy for the show to have two very similar betrayals that come out of left field... Shae and Talisa...

Yes, actually.. isn't this how Jorah is outed? He was there, correct? So, he lied to Jorah about knowing?

I wish I would have thought of it myself, but someone here linked a really cool video that pieces it all together. Until I saw the video, I was just taking everything at face value. See what you think after watching it and report back... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsTVnZm9hFg

I feel now I am finally convinced that they've made Talisa into a spy. Firstly, it replaces the betrayal of Jeyne's mother in the books, and shifts the betrayal to Talisa. Same result, more heart break. I also think this Talisa reveal will also take the place of the Shae betrayal. I do think Shae will be forced to speak at the trial, but against her wishes. I believe they will set up the Shae storyline to be a sort of tragic misunderstanding. She really cared for Tyrion, but was set up, blackmailed and threatened. When Tyrion finds her, she tries to explain, but Tyrion, in his rage, won't believe her.. then it's all... "hands of cold are always cold... but a woman's hands are warm..."

How would you rate episode 304?

DRACARYS!! DRACARYS!!!! Wow... that was honestly the best episode of the series so far. Mormont, Astapor, Lord Beric, Margaery, Olenna and LF... Oh Sansa.. my heart.. I was glad to see so many thing straight from the books. Aside from box 'o wizard, it was perfect. I gave it a 10. I got shivers when Dany started to speak Valyrian. It sounded so natural. The scene was better than what I imagined from the books and yet it remained faithful for the most part. I was hooting and hollering during that whole scene. Woo-hoo! So glad I have HBO GO because I'm a gonna watch it again right now!

    [TWoW Spoilers] Barristan

Because up until now, she hasn't ridden a dragon. If Victarion is using the dragon horn and takes control of Drogon, she may be riding the dragon and end up riding to him. Then, in order to steal back the horn and thus control of the dragon, she'll have to pretend to want to be his wife. I'm not saying I truly believe that this is what this means, just a "suppose".

    [TWoW Spoilers] Barristan

I wonder.. Do you think the "mount" she must ride "to bed" refers to Victarion? He seeks to marry Dany, and he has a horn that controls her dragons. She might have to get close to him (i.e. marry him) and let him bed her in order to steal that dragon horn and escape. The mount, by the way, is Drogon. She will be riding the dragon, but the dragon will be flying to Victarion. Hizdhar, by this point, of course is dead. Victarion will see to that, I'm sure.
