Hello, my name is Emmanuel, I am not new to the forum but decided to sign up once for all, I love the books and I have read them 3 times, I'm waiting for TWOW, unlucky for me I have to wait until the book is translated to the spanish, cause I'm from Mexico I also read The Hedge Knight Series, and I'm finishing The World of Ice and Fire, I came to the forum when I started reading about the theories which I find fascinating.

    Greetings.

    Welcome to the boards!

And a namesake. ;o) (Although I have an 'n' less at the beginning. And it's my second name.)

Hey I'm Jac and I'm new to the forum! I'm doing a virtual ethnography on this community but I'm also a huge fan of the show. My favorite character is Tyrion simply because he drinks and knows things

    Welcome to the boards!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking around here the past few days and once I'm done with all five books, I can hopefully contribute to the discussions as well (I just finished A Storm of Swords).

    Welcome to the boards!

    Ahoy hoy.

I'm new here too. I'm a ASOIAF/GoT fan from Melbourne, Australia. I hope to have many fruitful discussions about wherever whores go. (And Moonboy, for all I know.)

    Welcome to the boards!

Hello! I have been around here for a long time and thought I should finally introduce myself.  I grew up in a podunk town in the middle of the corn fields and cow pastures of central Illinois, USA, but I currently live in Tianjin, China.  I have been teaching English as a Second Language at a secondary school since Sept 2009.  Over the summer my wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, and we have an 8 y/o daughter who loves My Little Pony.  I was first introduced to asoiaf when my parents gave me Legends 2 as a "stocking suffer" one year for Christmas (They found it at the dollar store.), and I've been a fan of GRRM ever since.

    Welcome to the boards!

Now now, @King Tyrion I, you just have to wait your turn, I had only finished hellowing the newcomers from page 193 back up-thread. Actually I only finished the post because the @ - completion for usernames seemed to have gone out of order then, time to call it a day.

Welcome back, @King Tyrion I, glad to have you here.

Thank you! You are the best! =o)

  8. When I post in the "Entertainment" forum in the "What are you listening to...?" thread, it seems that linked videos play a sort of sample.

    That normal and on purpose?

  9. Hello to all!

Glad to be here. Voracious reader of fantasy and fiction books. Just finished Nemesis Games and currently underway through the 2nd book of Tales from Ketty Jay series.

I'll incur the wrath of the dragons by admitting that I'm not a big fan of asoiaf. I've read all the books years before the TV series started and though good, not exactly my type. If and when the next book comes, I've not decided on whether I'd read it or not. Probably will.

The Literature forum comes highly recommended by @TheRevanchist (EAP here) and I hope to have great discussions there.

    Welcome to the boards!

  10. Hello.  I've been lurking around for a little while, finally decided to jump in and start participating in the discussion.  It's been a while since I've been a part of a forum, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it.  I'm a fan of the books and the show, and many other things besides, which will hopefully become apparent in the conversations ahead.  So yeah, excited to start talking to everyone.

    Welcome to the boards!

    FoMN: you're welcome. ;o)

  11. I adore Robson & Jerome... So gloriously cheesy, and they look like they're having so much fun in these videos. And this video is pretty clever, actually. Hats off to them.

I just finished watching the "Ripper Street" season 1 episode guest starring Iain Glen as Drake's (Jerome Flynn) former commanding officer. It's a bit jarring seeing the two of them together outside Westeros.

There's also Michael McElhatton (Roose) in a later episode. And Dean-Charles Chapman in S3. Not to forget Joseph Mawle.
