  1. Dice? - duh! :blushing:

Should have thought of you right away! <bows to his grace, King Tyrion II>

    It's still KT I.

Of course, dice are interesting. Am I mistaken in assuming that dice play a vital role in that LCG?

Have to admit I don't know 7 Wonders, Agricola, Magister Navis or Tayu yet. A bit to catch up. I am working at trying out all known Settlers variations with my kids and friends, progressing slowly. The explorer variants that have the ships load stuff and actually sail across the board are still my favorites and they have become an official supplement. We lately played Die Karawane (camels...) and barbarian assault as befits the time of the season...

You should try Magister Navis. I quite like it.

Come to think of it, "War on Terror" is also quite nice. And hilarious.

  2. Welcome to the boards, newcomers! And welcome back.

    Hi :)

After lurking around the forum for quite some time I finally decided to join the party. ;) I'm a huge fan of both the show and the books. So I thought it'd be nice to exchange with you guys. Some of my favorite characters would be Dany, Tyrion, Jon, Jaime and Margaery.

About me...I'm from Germany and I'm currently studying at University. I also love writing and I consider trying out some RPing. I'm not sure what else to say, so I'll just leave it at that

    Willkommen!

  3. Hi, I'm new.

Just finished reading The World of Ice and Fire and started re-reading the books.

I feel like this is an excellent time to start getting myself mixed up in all these conspiracy discussions.

I'm looking forward to gaining a lot of new insights from you guys!

Welcome, Fyr, to the boards!

    Who's your favorite character?

  4. I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I won't tell you how I became the Prince of Bel-Air. Because if there's two things I'm not, they are:

    a) The Prince of Bel-Air, and

    b) A liar.

Anyways, I'm ThePlateauThatRides, my name obviously being a pun based off of one particular character's unfortunate situation. I'm sure you can guess who on your own.

    Welcome to the board!

  5. Hi guys, I'm brand new here as of today :-) I just spent the last hour trying to figure out how to upload an avatar for my profile lol Can anyone recommend any hot forums or groups to join? I'm originally from England but live in Australia now :-) hope to make some new friends on here!

    Welcome to the boards!

  6. Hi All, my name is Dave, I saw all of the four seasons, twice, and I'm now reading the books. My wife and I love GoT.

Our favourite saying from the story is "You know nothing Jon Snow!"

We were both guttered and saddened when Ygritte was killed. They should bring her back, raise her from the dead.

Welcome to the boards, Dave!

  7. Hello, all!

I am brand new here, and thought I would take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Ashley, I'm from Canada, and am obviously a big fan of A Song of Ice and Fire & the HBO show. :D

I look forward to meeting you all. :)

Welcome, Ashley, to the boards!

  8. Very good [emoji4] so many things to do in it [emoji3] i was supposed to be rereading the books but i am to busy reading threads in the forum [emoji14]

    Thank you so much [emoji4]

You seem like a decent and nice person. If you got the time, do check out TTTNE. It's located in "Forum Games". Stop by, talk a little - and have a great time.

So, this is an official invitation. =o)

  9. Thanks, Your Grace!

My two favorite characters are the two men that make up my hybrid username: Eddard Stark and Tywin Lannister. Say what you will about either of those guys, but they were the two strongest (if differently flawed) father figures in the whole saga.

    You're welcome.

Actually, Tywin is my second favorite Lannister - besides Tyrion. And The Ned? He's great.

And yeah, I agree about them being flawed. That's what makes them "human" in a way I guess. And grey characters.

  10. Hi. I'm new to the franchise but am looking forward to finding out everything. I have chronic illnesses which make it hard to be at the computer or tv as much as I'd like. sadly my health means i'm not as up to date on pop culture as I'd to be. I hope that can be forgiven.

I'm from Tasmania the island state south of the Australian mainland. I live in a small town that's mostly populated by people a lot older than i am. I live in the central north of Tasmania.

    Hello all!

My handle is Eddwyn Lannistark, and this is my very first (hopefully of many) post on these forums.

I am a relative latecomer to the saga that is A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE.

I remember always seeing the books in the science fiction / fantasy section of various chain bookstores when I was much younger, but never picked them up. Later, I remember hearing that HBO was going to develop a television show based on the books about 5 years ago, but didn't have HBO and never watched the early seasons.

Then came GAME OF THRONES Season 3 Episode 9 and the Red Wedding last year. And, wow did my Facebook feed blow up! Apparently a lot of my friends were fans of the show and were in public shock. That got my attention. So last fall, I finally caught the first two episodes of GAME OF THRONES and was amazed. Bought the Season 1 blu-ray, and it was amazing. Then the Season 2 blu-ray. Then the Season 3 blu-ray. The Red Wedding did not disappoint.

Sometime in between watching Season 2 and Season 3 on blu-ray, I got the 5-book ASOIAF paperback collection last Christmas. It was very interesting but sometimes difficult reading the first three books, as many of the details were very different from the HBO show. During this time, I finally got HBO and watched Season 4. After finishing AGOT, ACOK, ASOS. the next two books AFFC and ADWD were devoured at a record pace, and I just finished the last book a week ago. I also bought and read The Art of A Song Of Ice And Fire Volume One a few days ago. I think I'm hooked :)

Geez, this was supposed to a brief intro, and I wrote a book. Sorry about that.

Glad to be on board the ASOIAF train!

    Welcome to the boards!

    Who are your favorite characters?

  11. Hello everyone!! *bows* I am excited to be here, was hella confusing to get a picture up but I finally did, I look forward to interacting with everyone
