  1. Camelot books just put up a matching # set for $8k which seems about right with no MM. They also have a few single #’ed and a couple Lettered Subpress AGOT.
  2. becca i feel like youve posted an opinion on this previously (or someone did) but any thoughts on the number of complete sets lettered / numbered MM+SP?
  3. thank you! are we ascribing an ~50% price valuation to #'ed sets off of lettered?
  4. becca69 - can you put on the list that I have #503 of knights for sale. $295 plus shipping (UPS). thank you
  5. any interest in posting a state of the union as you see it releative to the book market for the series?

  6. cant believe there isnt anyone trying to unite set 249. its...all...right...in..front...of...you
  7. personally, based on what ive seen on this board and elsewhere in the market 10k seems high especially without the MM editions to go with it. Even then, 10k still seems a stretch to me. *edit - i dont mean that as a form of complaint/jealously/ etc...only an opinion! As a "full set" owner, it makes me happy.
  8. @AaronRodgers12 discount double check a bag a D's

  9. @BioBoyScout do you have perspective on any roche right of 1st refusal to bid on arrowhead?

  10. @BattagliaCE @DDSAnalyst @RNAiAnalyst 1st mover significant adv. when talking ref: FDA approval. At least 18 month adv. to get to market

  11. @MenInBlazers you southport shitsipping sodomites should shut your empathetic pie holes. #Alliterationout

  12. i dont believe this has been posted yet, but there is a matching numbered set for sale over at camelot books. i wonder if it's that set for sale on abebooks. $12500
  13. As the saying goes, they're worth what people are willing to part with them for and what people are willing to pay. Having said that 6000+ for a set with no MM's seems high, and that same set for 2000 seems low. Full sets with the MM's I thought were consistently selling between $5500-7000. But, the market is fickle...
  14. 7k for the limited set on ebay sans MM AGoT seems high too, all what people are willing to pay i guess.
  15. nice bit of validation for me when i spent slightly less than that for mine to unite the set. taken another way its nice to know this village idiot has company :D
  16. havent seen any full MM + Subpress numbered sets for sale in a while that were open...most seem to be private transaxtions. anyone with a view on what a fine or VG set goes for these days?
  17. Considering it'll likely be at least 4-5 years before the series is finished (hoping for an 8th book so...just too much Westeros goodness to cram into 2 1500 page books :D ), I'm not sweating it. Seems like Bill over at SP has been very busy lately with some recent publications so for me, I'll get it when I get it (AGoT / ACoK). For me, I want the World of Ice and Fire coffee table book ASAP. October too long of a wait...content myself with a 3rd read through the books and more time here and Tower of the Hand.
  18. Interesting that the numbered set on ebay generated zero interest. I thought the re-list might attract at least a few bidders.
  19. yeah, that guy is whacked out in his optimism...but maybe someone will pay it?! Mmmm, the solo MM AGoT reached a "sane price" high of $2000 IIRC. I don't know what the high is...that might be me. I paid $2500 to complete a set which I acquired from these boards for a reasonable price. I further off set my cost (not an investment, I actually read the books ....<<aghast looks everywehre>>) by selling my other ADWD and future rights for ~$500 profit. Becca has good points relative to valuation...if you plan to sell on your set, better to keep in pristine condition
  20. You've found the dictionary picture for the word optimism....wow.
  21. Looks like Camelot Books has a numbered set available (minus MM AGoT, but including SS ACoK) for $5100. Depending on what you think MM AGoT are worth ($1,000-$2000) doesn't seem too bad. Don't know which number it is...
  22. I would be surprised if that sells for 20k. What's the highest lettered price people have seen? I thought it was either 12 or 15k?
  23. #159 AGoT was united. with the rest of the set...<<cue soap opera music>> at great cost...<<cue 'many bothans died to bring us this information...' music>> ***edit***** now in the wrong thread <<cue Bugs Bunny exit stage left music>>
