  1. I gave this one a 7. I rarely complain but there was so much wrong here. My husband thought it was great. I don't get it. The whole ploy to go get a wight - just a mess. I'm even willing to let all of the super fast travel go, but that they'd risk so much and they have to know that Cersei will not care one bit about it. What a waste, especially since they lost a dragon. The Winterfell storyline has just absolutely pissed me off. It's pointless and stupid.
  2. One of the few episodes that deserves a 10. It was gut-wrenching, but so good.

  7. But Shireen's was cured. So she can't infect. That I get. The show also made a point of saying she got it from a doll. So how you catch it and how you are protected is not clear. Because a doll is clearly not an infected person, but she caught it and now Dany won't b/c Jorah was touching her with the other hand and I'll have to re-watch to see what hand he actually touched her with. Also, didn't Stannis likely touch the doll he gave Shireen and she caught it and he didn't. It's little things like this that they can take two sentences of dialogue to explain.
  8. The only thing that really saved this episode was the ending and all of the happenings at the pit, but even there they left plot holes. Like, who the hell are the Sons of Harpy and what exactly do they want? I thought they were the Masters, but it looked like that's who they were killing. Plus, they killed Hizdahr. Then, Jorah touch Dany when he has greyscale after they made a big deal of repeatedly saying not to get touched by the stonemen. But Drogon was absolutely amazing and I love seeing him go all angry dragon on the Sons of the Harpy. I have no words for the Shireen situation, except to say it was so horrifying that I literally had trouble sleeping last night thanks to that scene. I never thought I'd say this but they have made Arya's story boring and I love her chapters in the book. They brought back Jaqen and made him boring. I have no idea what's going on with the mess that is the Dorne plot and I don't care anymore, I just wait for those scenes to be over. The scenes at the Wall were good for the most part though they were brief. I used to be so amped up about this show, but the writing is just all over the place this year. It's no longer a cohesive story.
  9. Which one is the theory about Littlefinger's true identity? I remember reading one about him possibly being a Reyne or Castamere some time ago? Is that still on here?
  10. I gave it an 8. I was hoping this would be a 10 episode with all the hype it received, but it did not live up to the hype. The Tyrion scenes fell a little flat (not Peter Dinklage's acting) but the plot holes. Also, disappointed about no LS. I also felt that Stannis' arrival didn't have the full impact that it should have. It started off really strong, but didn't carry through.
  11. I give it a 9. I'm saving my 10 for next week. But this was so well done and I was on the edge of my seat the entire episode. I was so happy to have an episode dedicated to the story at the Wall, so long overdue for them to get this type of focus. It was really great.
  12. That could be true, but you can do a sex scene and have her covered. Her sexiest love scene was when she was married to Khal Drogo and Emilia Clarke was fully clothed. So I'm not completely buying that they didn't do the scene due to that reason. I can't help but think that it's moreso that EC and whatever his name is that's playing Daario couldn't sell it. I just think a love scene of those two would be really awkward. At the least, they could have shown them kissing. but they didn't. Why? Either they couldn't sell it or they don't like consensual sex scenes on this show. I don't understand why the show is so adamant about showing sex in such negative scenarios almost exclusively. Really, the only really nice sex scene was Ygritte/Jon and that one time with Dany/Drogo. But they sure love all the rape and prostitute sex scenes. And speaking of Dany/Drogo, they even made that first one into a rape. Ugg.
  13. I gave it a 7 initially and after re-watching, I'm sticking with my 7. The Tyrion scenes and the Eyrie scenes were excellent and well-done. I was a bit jarred initially from not hearing "Only Cat", but the scene works really well. I wish it were longer. They could have cut-out that pointless Melissandre scene and added more at the Eyrie. The actress who plays Lysa is amazing. This episode could have easily been a 9 or 10 had it not been for the Melissandre and Dany stuff. I'm officially bored with Dany's story and her characterization. I'm not buying this new Daario at all and don't think he and Emilia have any chemistry and I'm guessing that's the reason we didn't see them actually having sex, since we know how much this show loves a sex scene or maybe it only likes non-consensual or prostitute sex scenes. Who knows? I'm always happy to see Jon, but that scene really served no purpose except to inform us how much the men at the Night's Watch (or those in charge) really suck and we already know that. I did enjoy Brienne and Pod's scenes and loved seeing Hot Pie again. Peter Dinklage killed it this episode. I do think he's on his way to another Emmy and deservedly so. I'm also incredibly impressed by Pedro Pascal. The scene between those two was incredibly moving. If I were judging on Tyrion and Eyrie scenes alone, the episode would be a 10. Melissandre & Dany dragged it down to a 7 for me.
  14. I think I would have given the episode a 10 - it was that good, if it wasn't for the unnecessary nudity. It has gotten beyond and old and stupid, even my husband commented on it being unnecessary.
  15. I gave it a 9. This episode was excellent! I loved it, even the Dreadfort/Ironborn deviations. Wow! on shirtless Ramsay, I had determined to never find him remotely attractive, but ummm....wow. I really like Yara/Asha too. The bathtub scene was soooo good and Alfie Allen is just incredible. Two Words: Peter Dinklage! Oh my goodness, the hairs on my arms were standing up when he gave his speech. Perfection! I even finally like the Mereen stuff and loved the way they played Hizdhar, playing him with more layers.
  16. I usually try not to be negative about this show so I'll just say it was my least favorite episode this season and maybe of all 4 seasons. It was just kind of blah. I did enjoy the action at the end and I enjoyed Pod and Brienne even though those scenes did absolutely nothing to move the story forward. I have mixed feelings about the Eyrie stuff, but did find Lysa and Sweetrobin sufficiently creepy and disturbing. I'm also just not sure what they are doing with Dany's storyline. I'd like to see more Jorah. He's barely had any lines this season and there's been no real development of Daario as a character. I do like what they've done with Grey Worm though - they've struck gold with that actor. I need to figure out what his name is.
  17. I gave it a 10! This was just one of THE best episodes, every single moment was good and definitely left me with that feeling at the end of how in the world did an hour just pass? I was on the edge of my seat. Seriously, Ser Pounce!!!! And of course, the ending was amazing!! This is turning out to be an excellent season!
  18. I gave it an 8, without the rape scene and if they would have shortened Sam's scene and given more of that to Jon Snow - it would have been a solid 9 and maybe 10. It was overall an excellent episode - just really wish they would have rethought that rape scene. Yuck!
  19. My choice is Robb by the way this question is set-up. If I just started ASOS, I don't know all of that about Robb. Knowing what I know about him, of course, I wouldn't pick him b/c he fails miserably as a King. But at the beginning of ASOS, he still looks decent though the cracks are just beginning. Stannis has lost a huge battle at this point so he's not looking so great. Dany has dragons but no army. Balon - no. Mance has charisma, but no real organization and control. Beric is basically seen as a ghost and Joffrey is well, Joffrey. So Robb looks pretty good at this point in the story.
  20. I really want to say None of the Above, but out my love for all of the other Starks, I'd have to pick Robb.
  21. I loved this episode and gave it a 9. The only reason it didn't get a 10 from me is b/c I don't like what they are doing with Stannis. Having him defer to Melissandre when Davos is counseling him was a HUGE let down. Everything else in the episode was great. I loved it and I love the set-up for next season.
  22. 10 They obviously did an amazing job with the Red Wedding, but the episode as a whole was excellent. I loved the Jon & Bran scenes and to actually see the little boy playing Rickon get some lines. And he was good. It was actually more heartbreaking for me watching those two part that way than the way they did in the books. I cried. I enjoyed Dany's scenes - the look on Jorah's face alone when Dany asks for Daario. I felt that hurt. Maisie Williams is just astounding from her conversation with the Hound when she says she'll put a sword through his eye to her look of longing at the Twins. I don't think I can add much more about the Red Wedding that hasn't already been said, except that thinking of not seeing Michelle Fairley as Cat anymore has me very, very sad.
  23. This episode was okay. I gave it a 7. I liked the Jaime and Brienne stuff and Jon & Ygritte. I loved Tywin and Joffrey. I also really enjoyed Dany's scenes. The rest was just okay. Definitely an episode that is building to the climax though some stuff felt a bit fillerish. I will say I am glad GRRM wrote this one just for the parts involving Jon Snow b/c I felt that the show hasn't flushed out that story very well so far this season and he definitely did that and made that part of the story more interesting.
