  1. The only actual striker on the team right now is Broja, and he didn't make the squad today. Why try him when we have Kai Havertz and Sterling out there? It's going so well!!
  2. Moreso curious from an attacking perspective. Don't care about letting another goal in at this point. We're stagnant in the final third so he needs to try something different. I don't ever want to see Reece play RCB again. Complete waste of his talent, and puts someone in that position that isn't as good as him. Also, Kai Havertz, besides scoring a CL Final goal, is terribly underwhelming. And not just in this game. Aaronson's our starting right winger for me at this point over Reyna/Weah. He creates a ton of trouble with his speed. Happy he and Adams are at Leeds under Marsch.
  3. Fucking Mendy what a joke. Koulibaly struggling too. Aaronson giving them both fits. Tuchel changed the formation for the second half to a back 4 so I'm curious to see how we play with this. His commitment to the wingback system is irking me. Worked his first 4 months with the club and hasn't been great since.
  4. I'll make any date work. Prefer drafting at night but that doesn't seem to be an issue.
  5. I was annoyed that he didn't start against spurs at RCB. He did pretty well there last year and that would've allowed James to play RWB instead of RLC. We're putting a lot faith in CB's over 30, one being way over 30, and I'd be resistant to let him go for the year when you consider how thin we'd be if Silva or Koulibaly get hurt. Looks like Fofana asked to be left out of the squad tomorrow, so this is getting legs.
  6. Would imagine that suspension cripples the Browns this year when you consider how stacked the AFC is. I wonder how tempted they are for Jimmy G. He keeps the ship afloat till early December and Watson helps them grab a wild card. Idk, can see it happening. Suppose that's not a terrible scenario for Jimmy when you consider the O line and running backs. He also might not care to sit behind Lance this year and see who his suitors are next year.
  7. That was Chelsea's downfall last season. That and being horrible in the final third which has plagued us since Sarri it feels like. Once Chilwell went down we were screwed last year. Alonso was our option behind him as we couldn't pull Emerson back from loan. Reece went down for 3-4 months like two weeks after Chilwell. When the wingbacks go down in this system, we lose our identity cause we don't get enough consistent production from whoever is trying to be our striker and the two forwards behind him. When healthy last season Reece and Chilwell were consistently contributing to goals.
  8. I believe he tore his acl in December. Gotta figure he's still getting back to normal, despite being healthy enough to play. Cucurella isn't dealing with the same restraints. I will say it's lovely to see someone out there that isn't Marcos Alonso. So far impressed with Cucurella.
  9. Thought the finale was alright. Had some good moments like Saul displaying his acting skills to the prosecutor and Marie, and his goodbye to Kim was nice. Maybe not a goodbye, but see you way later. This was never going to end like BB with a storm of bullets, had to remind myself that. Hats off to a great show. Gonna miss Albuquerque.
  10. Igor pulled two straight. We don't forget.
  11. oh pens... 4-1 turns to 4-4.
  12. Need more than crosby and guentzel... This was to be expected.
  13. Would imagine the Pens come out slow tonight after Tuesday. Old legs and 3 OT's isn't a good combo. If only we had NBA rest in between games. Rackell unlikely to return tonight and Zucker appears possible. Need all the seconday scoring we can get. The goalie thing has to also catch up to us.
  14. would prefer madrid/liverpool for a final anyway. have seen enough of city/pool the past month. Grealish stopped with a chance to secure it is pretty much the icing on the cake for that signing.
  15. I thought this season was good, not great. I was lost on some of Cintra/Nilfgaard storylines that carried over into this season. Completely forgot that the first season aired two years ago, and I was often lost with that whole season. Eight episodes for what this show is trying to accomplish is like me trying to clean the house and run errands on the weekend, and then trying to find time for myself. The day is over and I still have a hundred things to do. I think a couple more episodes would give more time for the secondary characters to grow. I think Cavill is great as Geralt, and I warmed up to Allen playing Ciri. She's so tiny, and I just had Ciri from the games in my head where she looks closer to 30 and more of a warrior than a princess. I like the Yen actress a lot, but her storylines makes my head spin. Overall, those three do a nice job. It's the side characters that I wanted more from. I was really getting into Cahir and Fringella's storyline and just when it was heating up, season is over. Catch ya next year. Cahir with a little Jaime Lannister to him. Thought Rience's story had promise, but not enough time to develop. Same with Francesca and Filavandrel. Great job casting Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, bad job putting him in any kind of important scene. Feel like all he did was groom himself and talk to an owl. I think The Witcher, at this point, is a fun fantasy show that has occasional great moments but lags a lot in between. I do think it could be great, but it needs the secondary characters to matter more. GoT was so great because it made everyone feel important, regardless of the screentime. I feel better about the future of the show after this season than the first, where I felt pretty clueless about what I just watched for 8 hours.
  16. I said back on draft night that Cincy were thinking with their johnsons instead of their heads when drafting Chase over Sewell. I'm here to eat crow. A world with Cincy flying so high and my beloved Steelers floating to the bottom of the Mon River... And yes, I hope the title of this thread is the kiss of death. Enjoy @Nictarion @Mexal
  17. Missed on Saints and your Vikings, Tywin. I'm Runestone Raiders, btw.
  18. @Tywin et al. I'm in. You should have my email but if not I can pm.
  19. Loved the episode. Bronn: Getting paid or getting laid, never change Ser Bronn. I thought for a solid 30 seconds that he was getting set up Sopranos style when Qyburn was talking about a carriage out of the city. I was wondering why our favorite rogue was still in KL considering he's aided both Tyrion and Jaime over the years, and Cersei currently has them labeled as public enemy number 1 and 2. I would not be there. I am not, however, Ser Bronn of the Blackwater. I know he's all about the coin, was damn near killed over it when Dany/Drogon attacked the hike back KL, but I can't see him killing the Lannister boys. Young Umber: Seeing as the Last Hearth is indeed just that, and last major castle before reaching The Wall, I'm surprised Bran didn't interject when Jon sent him home to gather more men? He was surely aware of the proximity as he told Jon about the fall of The Wall, and the approaching army. I don't get that one. Poor fate for him, but a cool ass scene with Edd, Tormund and Beric. Cersei: Crazy as ever. Guess she considered Euron and what he might do with the GC if she didn't keep him satisfied for the time being. I had a feeling for a minute that she was gonna have The Mountain butcher him in the throne room. KL felt and looked pretty empty, even though it was night. All the action is up North right now. Will be interesting to see what develops there. Golden Company/Strickland: Curious to see what role he plays as he is cast much younger and physically capable than book Harry. It leaves me to wonder if he will absorb some book roles like Aurane/Faegon/Young Griff much like Jorah did with JonCon. I don't know, not much time to develop anything there seeing as we only have 5 eps left. Does the GC want to stay home in Westeros now that they've finally made it back in a welcoming fashion for once? Does Strickland have Blackfyre? Dark Sister? There was certainly some talk between Jon and Arya about their respective valyrian steel weapons, and that Long Claw was too heavy for her. I would think that LC and DS are more similar than Blackfyre. Arya always wished she had DS, and idolized Visenya. I would wager that at least Blackfyre has returned home. Jon: Had a lot going on. Got to ride Rhaegal which was cool and scary to watch, and found out about his true parents finally. I would think that he talks this over with Dany next ep. Arya: Cool to see all of her reunions. Gendry and The Hound were cool, but her reunion with Jon was the best. Nice to see those two have a conversation and Arya show some of her old self with him, as we didn't get to really see that with Sansa and Bran. Not sure what she wants with the blade schematic she gave to Gendry. I don't buy any of this AryaWaif stuff as we've seen too many personal/intimate moments from her since she's returned to Westeros; i.e. meeting Nymeria and realizing her wolf has moved on from her, and the Frey butchering. Arya's too important to have died in a dark room off screen a couple seasons ago. Sansa: Has hardened as the series has gone on as per her conversation with Tyrion and Dany. I would think that she has something up her sleeve but she can really use all the damn help she can get. I think that someone is going to have to really pull something out of left field for her to make a power move but we will see. Jaime: Great reunion with Bran the second he comes to Winterfell. Saw someone on Twitter call that a real Curb your enthusiasm moment which made me laugh. Will be great to see him questioned in front of Dany next week. He has a great excuse for doing what he did to Aerys that I think Dany will let that slide. All in all great episode. A lot of talking, but hey, there was a lot to talk about between all of these characters.
  20. I just pm'd Tywin. I will of course pick up the spurs and ride again. Thank you for the heads up, Pesci.
  21. That's a bummer. He will be missed...
  22. Nice win, Bronn. I had a couple lapses in making my picks throughout the season. Finished in 4th. In hindsight, I should've went with Philly in the SB to leap frog into 3rd. Ah, well. Don't mean to pry, but is Manhole ok? Haven't seen him post in a while.
  23. Forgot to change my pick and CP's for Houston/Indy after Watson went down
