  1. I noticed that too, but so far, none of my friends who hasn't read the books has commented about it. They either didn't pay attention or they simply thought it will be stopped at time. As a viewer, it's a bit shocking to find out they simply will kill two of the main protagonists so far, Joffrey and Robb. (maybe, they think that Gendry's blood isn't "good" and it won't work).
  2. I know they don't have the technology we have, but I doubt this is the first time Mel has leeched someone. DO you need to get your blood flowing to do it? What about when they take blood for sick people? Talisa the nurse humped wounded soldiers before leeching them? Or maybe she wanted blood specifically from his junk because it was where Robert Baratheon's power resided.
  3. It was somehow implied when Bronn told him that he wanted to f her, he just didn't want to admit it.
  4. Edmure doesn't "dance", he's being taken to his bedding: http://24.media.tumb...c8n39o1_500.gif
  5. In this episode, Ygritte was the naive one not knowing things while Jon was the one who did know. Nice job, GRRM. Finally!
  6. I liked the episode but at some moments I felt DD were saying us "well, we killed Ros but... we still have thrice the nudity!". I liked Jon a bit more this time, because this time Kit was able to make more than the old "I suffer a lot" face he always has: Jon laughing and being relaxed around Ygritte like he's not affraid of her is way better than the boytoy of hers we've seen before. Didn't know this episode was written by George himself, so, I get this give us some confirmations: about Theon's kraken being gone and that Margaery is a whore (kidding, but considering what last week they made clear their tolerance and Tywin was somehow shocked, I wouldn't be surprised if we found out they encourage Marg's "training"). Also, I do like this Joffrey, he's not the buffoon he's on the books: I liked he asked about Dany and the dragons, something that, IICR, her mother simply choose to deny. I don't think Sansa is ungrateful: this Tyrion might be more handsome and nicer than in books, but in the GoT Universe, he's still JUST a deformed dwarf: despite that she's probably scared by the prospect of marriage, now she's supposed to have sex with "that". Now, as someone mentioned, this is the first time I felt the did wrong stretching the book to two seasons: Doing one season of 15 episodes would have been a good option instead, but we know they need time for the books. Overall, I like the episode. Thanks to GoT, everytime a guy hears a horn, they will feel a tingle right down there...
  7. IT was a transition episode, or so it felt. I will judge it as such and giving it a well deserved 8, just because it deserves more than 7, and less than 9. Good stuff and bad stuff.
  8. The two gay male characters that come to my mind right now are knights and knights have a very high chance to get hurt or getting sick.
  9. I agree. I was expecting him to shout something like "we're screwed because of you and you want me to fix it?".
  10. I'm not generally pleased with how they are dealing with Ygritte and Jon so far in the show and this episode proves that they're just going to simple with them, when their relationship is one of the things that eventually triggers Jon's own maturity. So far, I just feel them "horny". Isn't Jon one of the main characters, that they're wasting time on way other stuff instead of them? Loved Oleeyna and Tywin conversation, though. Tywin saying his stomach was fine got me laughing.
  11. First time I didn't enjoy an episode. Dunno... Tywin and QoT saved it. 6.5. 7, 'cause I'm merciful
  12. I don't think is for alliances but to get ride of Cersei. In books, he suggests Willas but then Mace reffuses, calling Cersei too "old and used up" (Please, let QoT say this....). Tywin didn't let Cersei know as he wouldn't let her now that he's marrying her so she would go away.
  13. Loved the episode except for Ygritte/Jon scenes. 8, just because I didn't like how they handle their relationship.
  14. Her knowledge of Winterfell could also be a factor for Baelysh keeping her close. Maybe it's not Arya but "Sansa" who they send to Winterfell to marry. And maybe she knows how to read because her father thought her? I'm sure she wasn't born a whore.
  15. Why not :P I don't like Ros either, I think there is much that could be done instead of wasting time on her... but... I've read the books, that's why I feel she could be gone. And many people hasn't and they dont' mind about her nor are aware she doesn't exist. That and we need characters like her to explain certain stuff or changes because sometimes, some plots are neither obvious or clear for non readers. And why not, readers as well. If they are changing Sansa's escape, I'm intrigued about it. It's good sometimes they do change stuff for us who did read, so we don't know everything.
  16. How do you know all of her motivations won't be revealed in due time? I think he's meant to fool us as she's fooling Tyrion.
  17. I might be wrong, but Joffrey is a fan favourite. People love to hate him and he has big scenes coming soon.
  18. Yeah, but Cat doesn't know that. Also, if Robb dies, the only son left would be Jon, the one she didn't love. That's the whole "punishment" for her. Anyway, speaking of Sansa and Margaery, Sansa looks so... coulourless and plain around her. I hope that's intentional. She hasn't. But either she has gotten broader shoulders (which is normal for her age, as she's still growing) or her costumes are making her look broader in the shoulders area. I think it's the latest, as she doesn't look that broad in normal clothes.
  19. Then why bother adapting a book if at the end you're going to do whatever the hell you like? I'm ok. with big changes when it's needed, because tv/movies are a different format than books or comics, and some situations or characters can't be adapted as they were originally presented in their original format (like Selmy's hidden identity) or writers also want to tease book readers with some changes. But to change the motivations of a character and how such characters acts, then that's plain dumb.
  20. Also a future conversation between her and Robb about legitimizing Jon.
  21. Considering all the stuff they f*ed up last season, I'll keep an open mind about changes because they have a lot to fix, so, I guess they will HAVE to make more changes. I think we'll see where are they going in a few more episodes. I'll watch it again with subtitles, and then, make a better opinion. But, generally speaking, I was pleased. My only complain was that I felt they flipped all Dany pages in about 5 seconds in front of me. Jon scenes were a bit boring to me, too.
