  1. If you have to force a theory, then there is not a theory. All the clues give away Lyanna and Rhaegar are Jon's parents. Also, theories are not made of assumptions but evidence. Your theory has too many "ifs" that RLJ has already answered. Why would be the purpose for Jon being Elia's son in the show? This is not real life when many things happen because they happen. This is a book, or a tv show with a plot (kinda). For Jon being son of Elia, this needs a justification rather than an explanation.
  2. So, what do you think Ned meant with "you're of my blood"? That he somehow took his own blood and Elia's and cloned the kid? It means they are related by blood. And not, Ned didn't use Lyanna's blood to make the kid look "Starkish". That's... preposterous, tbh. Why would Ned raise Rhaegar and Elia's son and use his sister's blood to help them? Why would he risk his own marriage by presenting the kid as a bastard if such kid is not related to him by blood? Jon Connington's con is Aegon. He's the one conned into believing he's raising Rhaegar's child. He's not part of the con with full knowledge. Glamours in the book work with some magical artefact. Unless Ned managed to insert some jewel stone into Jon Snow, I don't see how he never noticed he needed to walk around with a necklace that made him look blond when he took it off.
  3. Even if the show goes there, It would make little sense. Ned has called Jon his blood. So, unless here Elia is Ned's cousin, that means she had sex with a Stark.
  4. By R+E=J you mean Elia? Elia Martell being Jon's mother?? What???
  5. Cat mentions this to Robb in books, yes. About the part above, I think Ramsay's case is (or could be) a bit like Sansa's with Tyrion. Just as Robb says she's only useful until she has a male son, Ramsay's is probably no different for the Northerns. "Let's wait the girl has a boy and kill the Boltons. The baby will rule as son of Arya Stark and we will call him that". I doubt in all those years, the Starks have zero Bolton blood already. I'm not saying THIS is the case, but that was also a chance for them.
  6. He knows Jeyne is not actually a Stark. He probably doesn't care.
  7. Like how they had access to Alayne I from tWoW and still sent the girl to Winterfell to be raped? They do have more information than us, that doesn't mean they will use it well and wisely. Or use it at all.
  8. This kinda imply D&D are fans of the books. I wonder what storyline they are fans considering they have ruined them all.
  9. You know, the whole "you all haters! leave the show alone!" is starting to sound like a tantrum. Even those who praised the show* are now telling the season was disappointing. That doesn't mean those who liked the show are wrong. Like the show is ok. Saying it was good is a completely different matter entirely. *I'm talking about columns and articles from the start of the season. I was sure then it was all a PR move to hype the show and I'm sure now. Those saying "the show is better with all the changes" are now accepting it deviated too much from the original source and it's beyond recognition.
  10. Funny thing is that "book purists" have stopped making comparisons between show and books like four episodes ago and only focussed on the show's own inconsistencies and it's still lacking.
  11. As I see it, the scenes only serve now to use them to illustrate a future ASOIAF edition with images and stuff. What theories has the show proven to be false? Valyrian steel killing Others? Shireen being burned? Stannis never sitting on the throne? Myrcella dying? Because all of those things are very much written in big red letters to happen in the next books :dunno:
  12. It matters because it proves the show cares little for inconsistencies as long as the characters are in the place they want them to be. Like, how they wanted Stannis burning Shireen and dying so they twisted every other storyline and the show logics for it to fit despite it made little sense. They wanted Varys to end up in Meereen. Fine. There was like a war in Meereen before that. Shouldn't make sense the place is secured after they all tried to kill the Queen? And how the fuck Tyrion, Jorah and Daario returned to the Pyramid. Wouldn't make sense to take the Pyramid while they were all outside as a way to show defiance??
  13. How is Sansa's rape "tamer" than the ones in the book? Did your books have sound and made Pia scream? Also, LOL at thinking they are unnecessary. Tyrion DID realise he was very much dead after he forced himself with that slave whore despite he was saved from drowning. Jaime's saving Pia proved he's not some asshole but that he actually cared about people and he's compassionate. Also, it proves he's not Tywin's son as Tywin ordered the rape of Tysha despite he was trying VERY HARD to be like him. And finally, Jeyne's proved how little LF cares for people and how he's all cruelty behind his nice facade of a Mr. Nice Helpful Guy. It also proved how people in general cared little for people without an important last name.
  14. The old trick of "but the books have more rapes!". Actually, I wished the show had included a few more of those: 1. The one that consolidated Tyrion as an asshole who reached bottom and 2. The one caused by Littlefinger sending Jeyne Poole to his own brothel to be "trained". 3. The one of Pia that made Jaime behead one of his own men. But of course, those couldn't happen. They invented rapes for women in the show, but those perpetrated by men are cut. And the one that presented Jaime in a favorable light was also cut because it's better to make Jaime a clown in Dorne.
  15. I'm going to sleep but it's very very very funny to read how all of the show criticisms here is received as "YOU HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS GO CHECK YOURSELF!!". Do we need more proof that the show can't be defended when all defence is "stop giving arguments and shut the fuck up"?. People who give criticism is actually giving good argumentation. What we get? "go away"s, "you're crazy"s or "you're wrong because I can explain what the show has not explained by pulling some kind of lame explanation from my ass"s.
  16. Sand Snakes are not in line. They are bastards. The Martells are proud people. They still follow politics. Thats' why Oberyn hasn't yet married Ellaria. She's a bastard. She's respected but she's, nevertheless, a bastard.
  17. Wow. I congratulate you on the fact you know exactly what every other reader wants or wants not to see. Still you haven't provide an answer. Why is better? That's a very silly argument. I'm sorry but it is. With that logic, then why don't they simply make Jon walk to KL and say "I'm Rhaegar's son!" and sit him on the Throne. I mean, it's going to happen at the end of the books, probably. Why waste time with everything that is happening around if the end is all that matters? You still don't explain why the things you claim to be better are better. How are better? Becuase they are different? because they appeal more to you? Because Sansa is not yet doing nothing. She is GOING to start doing things. Alayne's recent chapter is proving that. So, how THIS PLOT is better than a plot that hasn't yet happening? I mean, can you read minds? Has GRRM given you his manuscript? Because you, so far, claim THIS plot is better than the one he's planning for Sansa. This is getting boring. All your answers are "this is better becuase I liked them more than the books" yadayada blah blah. Boring for you. I haven't yet met one single person who says Jon Connington is boring. I mean, what has Jon done that bored you? Take his own castle with 100 men? Invading the Stormlands? Take Storm's End? Congrats to you on knowing Stannis already died there. Because, yeah, he's dying in the battle and then he's burning Shireen. LOL. It served one purpose. To provoke action scenes that appeal the watcher. That's it. ANd, so what if people watch it? Gangnam Style is one of the most seen videos in Youtube and people like it. I like it. Does that mean is somehow good high music quality there? Yes, I do need treatment. I do receive it. I don't find funny that you think my mental problems have something to do with me not liking the show. Show some fucking respect. Also, Justin Beiber is also a phenomenon. It's he somehow the greatest artist ever born? All of your answers ar childish: "it's better because I like it!", "it's better because it's already happening!". Considering you're analysing me, I think you like the show better because it saves you from making the effort to read and understand. I mean, I'm sure you simply skip page after page waiting for thing to happen, and by things, I mean ACTION SCENES!!!. Because having pages of character development is like "BOOORIIING!!!" for you. That's what mostly of us could easily get from all of your jabber and blind defence of a show that only shows pretty pictures with zero context and content.
  18. You know something is a plothole when you come up with ABSURD explanations for it. All Arryns are dead? Legitimize a bastard. All Starks are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Lannister are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Baratheons are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Martells are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Tullys are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Targaryens are dead? Legitimise a bastard. All Greyjoys are dead? Legitimise a bastard. Really, if people need to pull out explanations from their asses to claim something IS NOT a plothole, guess what. It is a plothole :dunno: All I see is people giving valid explanation of the absurdity of this last episode of Game of Thrones and defenders shutting their eyes and ears and chanting "no, the show is better!!" while inventing things that might explain what the show itself is incapable of explain by its own. So far, no one can say how the show is better than the books. The show does not explain things that are left unexplained in the books, it causes its own problems and inconsistencies. And the worst thing is that they claim to be better than scenes that haven't yet happened in the book. They simply say they are better because they happened.
  19. LOL, Tywin was NEVER going to let Tyrion inherit Casterly Rock.
  20. If they kill Trystane, the Martells are over. Doran has no more heirs. There is no way they will go to war. If they don't kill him, they will use him as a hostage. And if Doran attacks anyway, they will kill him. Also, why would Ellaria wouldn't mind Trystane killed? She hates Dorne that much? She just eliminated the whole line of the Martells.
  21. Can you at least why is, according to you, "better than books"? What makes the whole scene better than the books? I mean, what happens that is "better"? That Tyrion just GOT there quicker? How you know this is better than the books when in the books, this scene hasn't yet happened and we can't compare them? Is Sansa eating Lemoncakes during Feast? I must have had my book chapters replaced because I remember Sansa being very active in those chapters, both learning how to be Alayne, how to rule a castle and how to play politics. Also, she wasn't been raped at all and acting like a lunatic Stoneheart wannabe. What has Brienne done this season? All she did was stare at the horizon and keep losing Starks. Brienne in the books: -Met and introduced us to Mad Mouse and the Sparrows -Met Tarly and Hyle Hunt. -Met Nimble Dick and was involved in a fight with him. -Met the orphans of LS's and Gendry, who he recognised. -Met the Hound and provided us with the knowledge of him being alive -Her chapters also gave us the best dialogue of the books(about the Broken Men) -Fought some of the BM and got some comeuppance -Was captured by the BwB and met Stoneheart. In the show -She casually ended up next to Stannis to kill him. Wow. WOW. How much of development I'm shocked! And also getting rid of any kind of plot for Dorne, hence, making them irrelevant. Yes, because two guys who have just arrived to the game and have taken pretty much all the Stormlands with 100 guys is boring and not interesting at all. I mean, when Martin said he wouldn't include the scene of them taking Storm's End, people didn't say "why? no! please, write Jon taking Storm's End!" but "oh, yeah, because a guy taking the most secure place in Westeros by guile won't be interesting, like, we wouldn't like to see THAT on screen! It would AWFUL on screen!" What resolution? Stannis walking to his own death like some fucked up lamb? That's not the point of Hardhome. It's meant to be dubious. It's set up as a mysterious place (a pre-Doom happened there). Hardhome's ambiguity is what gives justification to Jon being stabbed, otherwise, they would know the rescue was needed and this would make Jon right. By making Hardhome appear on screen, Jon's stabbing was dumb. They killed the one guy that could have actually leaded them into kill the Others. Because it lacked Quentyn and Martell. And Doran's plans. Because they eliminated the one protagonist of the Dorne's arc: Arianne. Because the whole thing was made to favour Tyrion, not Dany, who was the protagonist of the whole Meereen arc. Because they thought it was better show Tyrion awing at dragons instead of Dany finding her own inner dragon. Because he was transported to Tyrion's fanfest. And he will stay there. Why would he kill them, anyway? And yet, HBO rather spent all of his budget in faces and whores instead of battles that matter and characters who also need to exist. Or what about include F/D last seasons instead of simply wasting so much time with Pod's amazing dick or the rapes we never needed?
  22. Jeez, I feel like we first need to explain what a plot hole is. Is something that has no explanation neither in the show or out of it. Ellaria wants war. Fine. Kills Myrcella would cause war? Fine. Yet, this murdering plan was set to happen while the FUCKING HEIR OF DORNE was travelling with the girl to King's Landing. That's idiotic. How can Dorne go to war if KL has a hostage? Wan't that the point of sending Myrcella to Dorne? That Dorne wouldn't fight? Now Dorne cannot fight KL because KL has Doran's only son. The ship didn't turn back. They are taking Trystane to KL and probably as a prisoner. So, unless Jaime goes fully idiot and says "no, I don't believe you have to do with this because you loved her", he will keep Trystane as a hostage as well. And you all thing KL will be ok. about Dorne killing their princess? Ellaria didn't start a war, she simply fucked up Doran.
