  1. I think it's a Belwas with Selmy no reason to skip the throat scene. Unless he needs to tell Dany something before he dies. If he dies I will be pissed. But right now I consider him injured, and alive.
  2. Now to be fair about Mel there has been some speculation that she will put the moves on Jon at some point in the future. I didn't think she needed to get nude, that's sort of really just plot jumping. As for people talking about Selmy I don't think he is dead I think he has picked up the Belwas role to an extent and Belwas was out of action for a bit as well. Till after the pit. I hope Ian is coming back, he is underutilized and finally we see him talking and he has a sword and he eats all the chickens. By the way he cut down 9 armed men in close quarters with no armor on and surrounded. I think Selmy did pretty damn good. I am not enjoying the faith arc or the Dorne arc but for the most part enjoyed the rest.
  3. Do you want to expand or do you need to cool down some? I actually enjoyed it, but I am holding out Selmy is pulling a Belwas. Just don't throw any tables.
  4. I thought most of the episode was good. I thought Stannis and Shireen was sweet. Jon and Mel was interesting, I enjoyed Jon’s internal struggle, I don’t think she needed to get naked. But light and life, man and woman, that works for my own theory so good for me. But I thought Mel was well played here, ending on you know nothing and that look she gave him was a great close. Still not a fan of the Dorne arc and this did nothing to help with that. KL, Cersei and the faith. The arc is starting to come together but I still not being pulled into it. Sansa and the crypts, they did more to help along Littlefingers plan but I feel like it is a rather large poorly considered gamble. Stannis and Sansa plot point I already figured on back when the trailers were released and have considered it for the books as well do to the symbolism of the Val and Stannis coming out of the north. The Rhaegar and Lyanna reveal was a long time coming and I thought they did well with it. Dany and Selmy, I liked the scene with Dany and Selmy, Emilia was Ian played well together. Though I feel heavily that he is underutilized. I love that they showed the two different perspectives on Rhaegar between this and Sansa, it sticks with the theme of the books. Ser Barristan Selmy, Lord Commander Queensgaurd. Hell yeah, hell yeah! That’s a that’s a Kingsguard that’s what that is. “Even know I could carve through the five of you like I was carving a cake!” You’re god damn right you could. Man has balls like Deathstars. You know how you type Kingsguard? You type it in Bold. The hound ate some chickens, Selmy just polished off a KFC. I am hoping for a Strong Belwas here because I really like Ian McElhinney and feel he has been underutilized for a long time. So crossing my fingers, I hope he comes back. I give it an 8, it was solid and improved on the last 3 episodes, I could give it a nine just for Selmy, but then I would want to change it later so 8.
  5. Well I hope there is more to it, there may be, I don't think anyone wants to be in bed with the Boltons. But a little more info would of been nice. It was a nice emotional speech, that lacked intellectual depth. That does not mean more depth will be added, but there is something I know from th trailers that will happen that has me questioning this plan. If you know where LF is going t go and this episode had a hint of that from Cersei, then who is protecting Sansa? No worries, it's my own fault, it came off wrong when I said "why is it a topic." I was not irritated with fans, just the show. I still hope the Winterfell arc will have something to offer. I hope the show still has something to offer, but I am pretty annoyed with it at this point. You know the Aegon plot line was cut and it's like why is Dorne even on this season without the Aegon and Dany tie in plots? Well sort of on this season, about 90 seconds of it. I heard the fan stuff about Tryst being Aegon but how is even close to Kit and Emilia' age? I also read that the casting director hired that kid because he felt romantic and she liked his music. Anyway have a good night sorry for the misunderrstanding.
  6. Talk about it all you want man, not the point of what I said at all. But if a theory does not make it on the show so what? It's the show and if you want to talk about it, there is the book section and the actual thread. But what is the point in getting upset if a theory does not make it on the show. Even if they are right, not all of them will make it on the show it's different animal and a different medium. Did you want to talk about which version of the GNC didn't make it on the show? Or that Sansas arc and the Bolton arc are a clear departure from the books which changes the Northern plot line, so it makes it really difficult on any theories about the North and the Vale? Did you want to talk about Harry the heir theories? Clearly a character in the books, my post was more about who cares if a theory is not on the show, because it's the show and it is different. Not really anything anyone can do about that. Just shrugging my way through the show to be honest. Didn't bring up R+L=J either, seldom do, I did mention how it was now pretty easy to ride around the Neck, and it appears Westeros now has Texting because the mail gets there fast. Just to be clear not saying that people should not talk about the GNC, just that who cares if the show does not have something like that at this point because... well do I really have to point out why with this show at this point? It's pretty self explanatory.
  7. Why is GNC even a topic, it's a fan theory, granted the show seems to have become more and more fan fiction, but still, you can't expect every theory to be on the show. You know what I found really intresting, these are some of the little things. Cersei sends a letter to LF via the Vale, and bam it's there and this is right after Roose mentions KL is a 1000 miles away. The Neck and Moat Cailin, it appears from Pod and Brie, that you can now ride around the neck, though it is miles out of the way. Literally defeats the netire purpose of the Neck and Moat Cailin, you can't ride around. LF plan is avenge them, thats it, thats the explination Sansa got? Like here I am going to toss you into a pit of starving lions, avenge the last people the lions ate. I actually have to wonder how much D&D know about the future books because this clearly has nothing to do with Sansas story, like nothing, like the Boltons will probably be dead before she ever sees the north again. Tyrion got White washed in the Brothel, the angry drunk dward suddenly became the sweet charming sad dwarf. Oh and the greatest spy master in the world did not recognize his own spy, and managed to loose Tyrion within 5 minutes and Tyrion was not trying to run away. No the great and cautious spy master was not paying attention to the person he is suppose to be keeping an eye on. Tyrion got taken in Dance because he was alone in the Brothel, but here he is with one of if not the most observant humans on the planet, who is not paying attention to anything.
  8. 7, it may go lower of a rewatch. Drunk angry Tyrion suddenly becomes sweet charming sad Tyrion, serious White washing. It was good to see Jorah, but I expected to see him sort of more worse for wear. Tell me how does the single greatest spy in the World lose his traveling companion in a Brothel? The wall was ok, fetch me a block owuld of been ok, but I think the show didn't want to make a joke of of the scene or make it fun, so I do understand that change. Marg gloating, and her ladies laughing at poor Cersei? Not sure what to make of KL, Cerse is doing her own dirty work it appears. But really not sure to make of what they are doing. No Dorne, you introduce Dorne and it's been on screen for about 90 seconds in 3 episodes. House of Black and White, well I, it was ok, not really much happening. I hope old Jaq washed his hands after sticking them in poison. Winterfell and the North. So Littlefinger says avenge them and Sansa is all in. Sure why not, seems like a great plan. The North remembers was a nice touch at least. Ramsey acting all nice, was kind of funny. Pod and Brie? Well lets here some of your back story, ok thanks. Didn't think the acting was all that great in that scene. It felt like episodes 1 and 2 to me, not really any character building, not a lot of plot progression, and a lot of moving pieces to set up what will probably be a handful of big moments late in the season. The episode felt flat, no real highs or lows, just sort of monotonous. The beats were more like a series of long monotone notes.
  9. We dug coal together.

  10. Intresting note on the show both Hiz and the captured son of the Harpy refer to Mossodor as a traitor, within 3 minutes or eachother.
  11. Why does Ramsey do anything? But I would guess Roose may turn on the crown because Tywin is gone and he is what was holding things together. He may not trust Cersei and what she does and so a second Northern independence and they have the Vale supporting them, and the Riverlands, or at least he may be led to think that. Sansa secures the North for Roose, he may also get no support from KL to deal with Stannis and it may force his hand, so you get a northern civil war. If some in the North ally with Stannis and he gets no help from the crown it may force his hand. He would not be able to hold the North without a Stark union.
  12. To be clear I was only speaking about the show, not the books. No Green Grace has been cast, I pointed out Hiz because because he is literally the only person who can be an antogonist from Meereen on the show. They didn't cast anyone else. He does where green though. They can go with just a generic faceless mob, but that is just... that would be boring.
  13. So while looking at the cast for this season and who is cast in Meereen it appears 1 of 2 things will happen on the show. 1 There is no Haroy, or 2 Hiz is the Harpy by default as they have not cast any other Meereenese as an antagonist. It's not Selmy and it's not Missy, Greyworm or Daario. So it has to be Hiz and that is if they even go with that storyline of having a Harpy and it's not just a bunch of people in Masks. But given that is the only story they can go with, and they are clearly relying on part of it, then it has to be him by default.
  14. Actually we do know a lot of what they are making up because this is A Dance with Dragons, like Tyrion and Varys, hat is made up and their is no question it was made up. The scene with Dany and the execution is made up, for a act we know it is made up. Jaime and Bronn and Dorne, made up, Brie and Sansa made up, never happened.
  15. Personally I prefer the hooded executioner myself, your not suppose to see the face and he is commiting an impartial act. It's suppose to be an act enforcing the law. Like Jon and Slynt, totally impartial. Good thing Jon has always obeyed his orders. Honestly part of me gets Thorne on the show. "Oh the Halfhand told you to kill him and fuck a Wildling girl did he?" Jon: Yeah. I mean if you had not seen that part in the books yourself it would be kind of hard to swallow.
  16. Depends on a lot of things, it's not so black and white as debates often make it out to be. Politics is a very broad spectrum, who's polotics, which political point, which practices, which laws, which politicians? There is a vast cultural and political difference in between Meereen and Westeros. Would she like everything about Westeros? No, but can you name any fan or character in the books that likes everything about Westeros? Take Dorne, seems to me there is a lot to like in Dorne, but the Dornish are not the same as the Northerners, and the Northerners themselves have different cultures like White Harbor, the clans, and the Starks. They are further different from Reach and the Crownlands, people in the Crownlands have different practices as well. Would she like all the corruption in KL? Probably not, can't say many are a fan of corruption. Would she like how bastards are far more excepted in Dorne, that woman can make choices and rule? Probably, those are pretty good things. Would she want the small folk treated better? Yes, but there are easier measures to take with making better lives for the small folk than ending thousands of years of slavery and trying to get freemen and slavers to coexist. The people of Westeros already coexist on many levels, it needs to be improved and is at an all time low, but it iss not always like that. Would she be ok with Guest rights in the North, probably it's a good practice. She has seen worse in Essos, far worse, so Westeros probably stands an easier chance of her adapting to it then lets say Slavers Bay, which is by and large a shit stain on the universe. I know where Ned Stark stood on the execution of Children, I know where Dany stands, and I see common ground in values. Westeros has a lot of corruption and a lot of bad people, it also has a lot good people, and a better value system. How many people would execute 163 children in Westeros? How many would make sport of children and Bears? We already know slavery is illegal and punishable by death or the wall. We can't really get into what every single person in Westeros would do or say or think, just like we will never get that from any character about every single person in Westeros and every practice, there are people in Westeros that clearly don't like every existing practice to begin with. The one thing I do know is that it is not slavers bay and the people are more flexible, and have developed more and have shown the ability to change and except. Dorne is a great example of that. No there is no perfect solution, you can't make everyone happy. But you can effect change for the better, and in Westeros an improvement in women' rights would be good change even if some don't like it. It would be good to see some Dornich practices spread north. Do you really want both Westeros and slaverrs bay to remain stagnant and not grow or develop. Dany' story is hard for the same reason Jon' story with the Wildlings and Watch is hard, it's because change is hard. That's why in history revolutions are most often markers of change. They can be very bloody, but they have still effected a lot of change and development.
  17. It's intresting that nobody wanted to really question the guy with the Harpy mask who you know works for them. Hi where did you get the mask. Though you never get a chance, as he is murdered. The fact that a public execution is choosen made little sense and the show did not even address it, they just wanted the scene. What bothered me is that in the books the slavers often refer to the slaves as nothing more than animals. So D&D decided to depict them as hissing, snarling, teeth baring animals. I mean look at the body language in that scene, with former slaves getting down on their hands, and swaying as if to strike, while hissing, snarling, baring their teeth, and flaring their noses. Dare god way to enforce the slavers beliefs. I can't imagine how D&D read the books. Oh the slavers say they are like animals we should probably make them act like dumb animals, ok everyone snalr and bare your teeth, you people over thier get down on your hands and act like dogs who are about to attack, we need more snarling and teeth baring, remember your former slaves and slaves act like animals. Because just acting angry and yelling, and throwing stoness won't get the point across that your upset. Act like animals grrrrr lets see those teeth. I need more nose flaring and teeth baring come on now, you are freed slaves. Maybe we should have them bark? No lets have them hiss and sway like serpents. Great body language direction. I just glad they were not biting anyone in the ankle and chewing on bones. Maybe next week, got to make sure they are anamalistic idiots. Of course the slavers are being depicted as easy to negotiate with. Oh Yunkai has agreed to all your terms, done and done. And Hiz, here let me give you good advice and more good advice while me and Darrio are all buddy buddy. Darrio: I keep telling her she should let me take your head. (Sly Grinn) Hiz: Hey that's not funny, she might do it. Oh how can I stay mad at you, look at that grin. We work so well together. Darrio: Oh my super powers tell me their is a slave behind this wall and his leg is right here. Just how did he get in the wall? Did he plaster himself in their? No hidden door an actual solid all. Love that all the men are making either noble or smart choices, while the woman? Well I guess thinking goes out the door for them on this show. Sansa, bad choice after bad choice. Cersei, don't have to say much. Selyse, yeah don;t have to say much. Mel, I like cock, cock gives me shadow baby power, and I am dark and scary. Ellaria, grrrrr kill children who have done nothing wrong. Dany hey I know lets have ap ublic execution now put all the slaves here and the slavers here. This going to go over big. Missy, do you have a penis, Marg, plot, plot, plot, manipulate child, Arya oh kill, kill, kill, dead eyes, Gilly I know what an S is, yeh an S. Lollys I am so sweet and stupid OMG Jaime Lannister, breath, breath. Shit Dany made a good choice about the law being the law and holding a trial for a criminal, quick stupid public execution and lets not even bother with a reason for it, but lets make sure to show the men making the right call and Dany making the wrong one. Note the Tyrion comment, Cersei' best part and his. Not that Cersei is a good person, just consider it an overall theme that D&D are enforcing. Yep, that's ummm that is a great way to depict women. So empowering D&D, good thing all the men are around to guide them and show them how to do things the right way.
  18. It's a harsh scene, so it's hard to go this is good or bad. It's not suppose to be either, it's about the inner and external conflict. The law has to be blind, his life is tragic, but the law has to be blind, she does not want to do it, but she has to, that is part of ruling. Question is how do you get the freemen and slavers past it? Because they are always going to hate. I didn't like the hissing myself, like when did that start? Did they use to do that to the Masters? I doubt it, and every one of the slaves did it.
  19. I am going to advice this to anyone who watches the Drogon Dany scene, Watch her eyebrows and his nostrals, it's like they are having their own conversation.
  20. I got it, Ellaria makes total sense now. The house of Black and White is introduced in this episode, Ellaria is not actually Ellaria she is Darkstar who is a secret faceless man who also happened to be in love with Oberyn. When Oberyn was killed he blamed Ellaria klled her and took her face. Because that is the only way to explain Ellaria wanting to kill a child who had nothing to do with Oberyn's death. Yes lets blame Myrcella, its her fault Oberyn is dead. She is a he and he is of the night and likes trying to kill children.
  21. Of course it looks nice her, it's beach front property the north is dark, gloomy, grey and snws in the summer. The Long shot of Winterfell Makes it look about the Same size ass Stokeworth maybe a bit Smaller. But yeah it's way nicer it's got far better location. Just like the Water Gardens are way nicer.
  22. It's true, I was glad to see him concede the point to Sam, his objection to Jon seemed more fitting then just saying he is a bastard. Though he had to concede those points as everyone knows Jon did those things. The more flexible less demanding Stannis has been a nice switch for him, hope it lasts at lleast for a bit. I saw your comment on the Shireen scene though, I think the entire point of it is to get her on stage, because the foreshadowing is pretty dark for her in those scenes and not Disney dark, like this is going to end really badly dark.
  23. Dany had to do that to the freeman, not sure why it was done in public but the law is the law. It was the same in the books, some freemen did get executed for murder, it was just never a scene. Robb had the same problem sort of problem and the show is setting up a parallel. “The law no passion can disturb. ‘Tis void of desire and fear, lust and anger. ‘Tis mens sine affectu, written reason, retaining some measure of the divine perfection. It does not enjoin that which pleases a weak, frail man, but, without any regard to persons, commands that which is good and punishes evil in all, whether rich or poor, high or low.” I thought both actors played that scene well, Jon smiled and Stannis onthe show is being less demanding, and more understanding and flexible than in previous seasons. Which is odd after what Varys said last episode. He was fair with Mance, didn't go off on Jon for killing Mance and plaed the letter like a well placed Gin card. Come on buddy you can be a Stark we can get the North to support us and lets go kill Boltons together, the North loves you Starks Jon, they need you. Come on buddy, this will be great. Winterfell misses Starks like the Sun misses the Moon Jon. Won't you be it's moon Jon?
  24. I thought Baavos was a waste of time, I was glad to see Jack but literally nothing happens. I like seeing Jaime and Bronn together, Jaime is all swashbucklered out. Kevan was pretty note perfect, Dwarfs head scene was a nice touch. I thought the wall was good, I know people wanted to see Sam manuver, but this is show Jon who is older, more experienced and done more than book Jon. Plus time is time and they didn't have time to show that. Liked the Shireen scene but dear lord the foreshadowing is horrific. I am a big Dany fan, but I don't understand the public beheading scene. Given what is coming with Slynt it looks like a parallel, but really the just copied the Robb and Rickard Karstark scene from season 2. I would of liked one f the slaves to point out to the Son of the Harpy whe he says she does not belong here, to reply none of us do, you took us from our homes and people and made us slaves ass clown, that's why this is happening. Dorne looks nice Ellaria is annoying, Grrrrr look at me I am so angry. Tyrion and Varys are always good togethe, but what was the point of the scene, Braavos and Dorne need a little something, I get it you want us to see them traveling, but it really is not important or critical to the story in anyway. Most of it was ok none of it was really great, some of it was good, felt like Dorne and Baavos were pointless as nothing really happens. Drogon looks like he wants a hug, someone hug the dragon. Hiz and Darrio look like they are working together. Jon and Stannis, you know I really like the two on screen together. But this season Stannis seems less harsh and is playing things a little more slick than book Stannis. He is less abrupt with the letter from Lyanna on th how and is totally playing it as a card. Jon I have been asking around about you and a lot of people like you, this land loves the Starks, I need a Stark, and you are a Stark. See look they love you guys up here, come on buddy take Winterfell and lets go kill the Boltons together. You would like that wouldn't you Jon, wouldn't you like to kill the Boltons? We could burn him together, or I could burn the bottom half and you could cut off his head. It will be total feelz man.
  25. Stannis really plays his hand well with that letter, it's not as demanding as in the books. He was playing a card and knows what he wants.
