  1. I'm going with it's a reference to Rhaegar and Lyanna mostly. I mean Jon and Dany can be called as much the Dragon and the Dragon than the Dragon and the Wolf.
  2. I guess the dragon pit scene will be 40 minutes or so of characters taking digs at one another.....
  3. I've never complained about the supposed teleportation since a show is supposed to be entertaining foremost, but that was pretty ridiculous and hard to ignore.

    Jon Snow's 12 companions

Yeah and technically he had a dog (the hound) and a horse at the end. We know that the show has made Jon into a Jesus symbol for the show. The betrayal in front of the cross. Took a dagger in the heart for his people, the resurrection etc....
  5. The show has made it a point to state that Dany is a conqueror not a ruler through Daario and then have Sansa state that Jon is good at ruling. In the end all that matters is what the show thinks not us. I also don't see Jon dying considering Alliser Thorne's last words about him fighting these battles forever. Also seriously doubt that GRMM went from both characters surviving in his original outline to both dying like so many seem to think. The only reason I even think Dany might die in childbirth is because the author loves history repeating itself. And no there won't be a breaking of the wheel, there will no happily ever after.

    Will R+L=J Deliver?

I think the show is placing so much emphasis and so late into the show as a justification for Jon eventually sitting the Iron Throne. They are placing way more emphasis on his heritage than even the prophecy aspect to it.

    Who inspired Rhaegar?

It's heavily implied that he read the prophecy through one of the many books/scrolls he read as a youth. The one that would contain information where the prince that was promised would be born out of Aerys' lineage.

Can we officially call Rhaegar a jerk now?

Considering Rhaegar pretty much states that he needs a third child right in front of his bed ridden wife, makes one wonder if Elia was completely on board with the prophecy.
  9. She won't even bother. By Season 8 she'll be completely in love with Jon, she'll be the one bending her knee in the end.

    Jon will never be king.

According to the show he probably will be, after all according to them he's a good ruler and Dany is a bad one. See Sansa and Daario's quotes. lol
  11. The heritage is just icing on the cake. He is going to be the leader that leads the seven kingdoms through the long night (cue on Sam's speech about the leader everyone turned to). The show is going out of its way to place Jon on this pedestal (the cross, the companions, the resurrection, the horse, the hound/dog, on and on and on) while Dany is out there with her foreign army burning lords alive. Jon doesn't want to be LC, but he becomes it anyways. He doesn't want to become king but he becomes it anyways. He won't want to be king of the seven kingdoms yet he will likely be King anyways.

Can we officially call Rhaegar a jerk now?

Wouldn't at all be shocked if Elia and Rhaegar both agreed to the annulment or the show explains it that way. One of the prices of arranged marriages, it's not really true love in the end.

    [Spoilers] EP705 Discussion

They are embellishing for plot purposes. I also expect him to have gone the polygamy route in the Books.

    I think the scroll...

This is where I hope Sansa is the one manipulating LF and letting him think she's setting him up.

Episode's title is blood of the dragon

quite possible, but it's quite obvious he's drinking again because of Dany and not Cersei.
