I'm confused. I thought a pilot was a navigator? The person who steers the ship is the helmsman, surely??? I understand that Blackthrone had to do the steering because of reasons, but why the is Rodriguez doing the steering on his shop which presumably has a full crew?

Been watching Solo Leveling anime. I've read the webtoon. It's okay, but not as good as I remember. Villainess Level 99 (Akuyaku Reijou Level 99) is also good so far.

It's late, but here are the things I watched: Barbie - it was fun, loved the look of the Barbie world. I did not like America Ferrera's speech thing that she used to snap the hypnotized Barbies out of that state. I guess I liked 70% of it, which is good enough. The Super Mario Bros. Movie - surprisingly fun! I wasn't expecting much and I was very pleasantly surprised. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves - wow, it was actually watchable, lol. I don't remember anything from it now so I guess it was forgettable, but I remember liking it when I watched

Oh no. Well, I think it might be because it's really super heavy and dramatic? I mean, it lacks that element of fun, joy, and cozy that would balance out all the doom and gloom.

Someone recommended For All Mankind to me, and I liked Joel Kinnaman in Altered carbon so I'm giving it a try. The first episode was strong, but the others, not so much. I guess I'll continue watching it, but it's not my favorite. Something about it isn't quite gelling for me. I'm at episode 6. Love the look of it though! The actors are also really good!

I watched the two Spider-Man multiverse animated movies, since they're both on Netflix. I can't believe how cool the anarchist Spidey is! Enjoyed both of them a lot, but first is still my fave. Second seems really sad for some reason, and I was very confused when there was no ending.

The Moghedien part was cheesy. I hope the next bits are better.

This season was better and I enjoyed it, but it's still not as good as I had hoped. I'll still watch the 3rd season though!

I waited until the entire season was over before binging it in two days. Season 2 was a big improvement over the first. I enjoyed almost all of it, though the Foundation still lags compared to the Empire parts. Random thoughts: Holy cow, Lee Pace is apparently 6'5". I googled it because he towers over so many other characters. A lot of the Bel Riose parts did not work for me. Why would he go down to the planet himself? Why wouldn't they just send a small ship to rescue the husband before destroying the planet? The Spacers look amazing. I guessed immediately that Demerzel was behind the assassination attempt. Reason: if Day could see the assassins before they arrived, Demy could've senses them even earlier, yet she allowed them to cut her head in half. Laughed so much when someone called Day's court costume a "dress" because I've always thought it was terrible. It's only because it's Lee pace wearing it that it looks okay. Loved the sliced robot flashback. Me in Season 1: I hope Salvor Hardin dies! Me in Season 2: Oh no, don't die for real, Salvor! Absolutely hated the mentalics arc because there was no point to it. Everything was a lie and an illusion. Just waited for it to be over. Gaal is perpetually in distress, hope Season 3 changes that. Yanna had so much chemistry with Seldon in the small amount of time she had screentime. Whoever that actress who played the evil academic who killed Yanna, she's damned good. Hated her so much. Wish we saw a little of Trantor that isn't just the palace. Great ending, wouldn't change a thing.

Isn't he just going to be king in the sense of the queen's consort though? Like, not a ruler. So a kind, gentle, slightly dumb guy would make a good king since all he has to do is basically sire children and attend parties. Heck, perhaps the queen chose him exactly because she thinks he wouldnt be a threat. It's different in the books. In the show, he is to mary Galldrian, the Queen of Cairhien.

Ep 5 was the only one I couldn't finish in one go. I hated how everything was so dark for such a long time.

The one thing I wanted next was Gaul. Sigh. I guess it does make sense since he is a minor character in the books compared to Avi.

Good points, everyone. I hope the rest of the season is good, there are a lot of things I'm really looking forward to. P.S. I saw in some other forums Liandrin's "not a mention of Mat Cauthon" could technically be not a lie. - The letters wouldn't have said "Mat Cauthon" because they would've only said "Mat" - And/or he was mentioned more than once

Just finished ep 3. I've enjoyed it so far, but it hasn't been that great. Unfortunately, none of the cast has captured my interest much. I'm confused why Lan was so badly nerfed. How are we supposed to believe this is the same guy that kills one of the greatest Forsaken in a straight 1vs1 sword fight? Would have preferred it if Nyn's last test was her walking away from an absolutely perfect married with kids life, instead of running away from trollocs. Greatly looking forward to more Aiel presence. Fingers crossed it will be good. Also can't wait for Nyn to learn healing.

Overall I think the season was good. I certainly looked forward to watching each episode. The ending was a bit meh, but I expect the 2nd season will have much more action and, hopefully, no more huge timejumps.

Apparently, they cut the scene where Daemon comforts his kids.

This is the first episode I didn't like. I yawned through most of it though there were some good parts. Leanor and Laena were both good and Rhaenyra was okay. I feel like a little happy interlude next episode would be nice. Right before all hell breaks loose, obviously.

I liked it except for Daemon killing his wife and the wedding murder. I don't even mind that a Kingsguard straight up beat someone to death, but not in the middle of a wedding where everyone could see. That strains credulity.
