  1. So, I have calmed down a little and realize that there are many unanswered questions. Such as, what happened or happens to Edmure? What happens with the "Blackfish"? And what happens to the whole Stark army, surely the Freys can't kill them all in one night? Aaaand I have asked this before, but where the hell was Greatjon Umber, and will he ever be heard from again. Many more questions, but can't think of them all at once.

  2. Funny...since this is one of the only episodes the show has done where nudity actually served a plot purpose other than being purely gratuituous. I didn't mind...but I've always had a crush on the red witch. ;)

Remember when she told Stannis about when you slaughter a goat if it sees the knife the blood will go to the meat, something of that nature anyway. My point is, a friend had a cow that lost all of its reproduction organs in birth and they had to shoot it. Point being several people said the meat would be no good because of the cow's adrenaline pumping and somehow making the meat bad. FYI: the meat was just as tasty as the rest I've had, nasty and pointless story I know but I could see a relation so sorry.......
  3. I think that was a pretty badass episode. Tyrion threatening Joffrey was awesome

Sam finally stepped up a little bit, but why the hell did he not pick the dragonglass dagger back up?

Cersei being a sourpuss is hilarious

Side Note: on the sneak peek for next episode I feel like it done some for-shadowing about the whole Robb and Talissa deal. Which I don't know what happens but I think that she is no good.

Great episode though in my opinion.

  4. She had Greyscale as a child. Never mentioned in the show so I wonder what non-readers thought of it.

Not sure if I should spoiler the last one but might as well

He just found it funny since they cut the character out completely but still managed to chuck in a little inside joke for us book readers. Funnily enough this could also be true for Edric Dayne, who is yet to be seen in the series.

    Gotcha thanks.
  5. What was wrong with Stannis's daughter(her face)? I feel like it said something in the book, but I must not have found it relevant if it did.

Hearing the name Edrik made me quiet happy.

Just curious what do you mean by Edrik? I remember Edrick Storm at Storm's End.

  6. Yep, they changed the actor

Grenn survives the mutiny in the book but DD are always changing stuff so we will see if he sticks around in the show.

I don't know who he was. I've never seen him before, I don't think they said what character he plays.

Some people like him. I don't like or dislike him.

I like Grenn pretty well, so I hope he comes back.

The guy that killed Craster was awesome until the whole mutiny thing. It seems that the Nights Watch is pretty well done for, besides aemon and a few others. I wonder who they will fight when Jon Snow and Tormund climb the wall.

Dany's side of the story seems to be shaping up well, but I wonder who they will be fighting when they cross the narrow sea.(man or dead men).

Also I hope that somehow Jorah will be the one who kills the a-hole who killed the Old Bear.

  7. Shes still not amazing, but shes playing with chewing the scenery and it really works right now. Shes a great ham, ill give her that. Made that scene a lot of fun. I want her to get better and she has improved.

Honestly I haven't seen a bad actor on this show. Maybe it's because I am only on the second book and watched the show first, but I really like all the characters even Shae. Emilia Clarke plays a great role in my opinion, she was green at first but starts to come out of her shell, it's exactly how she is in the book.
  8. Did they change Beric's character?

What about Grenn? I sure hope he's not dead.

Who was the guy who killed Craster?

Also, am I the only one who likes Locke, or whatever his name is?(the one who cut off Jamie's hand, unlike others I have not forgotten what he has done, Jamie that is.)

  9. hey there

I just finished watching episode 3 just now and right at the end when Jamie was about to lose the hand they played some kind of dropkick murphy version of the bear and the maiden fair. I was pretty stunned.

I should point out I was streaming it but still

anyone else get this? what in 7 hell's is going on?

It wasn't a fluke, gods be damned.
  10. ^ Not sure how fish scales would protect you from the bitter cold lol. Everything about the Riverrun scenes was awesome, including the armor. I really liked how when Blackfish grabbed the bow he glanced up at the Tully flag right before he fired. Really nice touch.

Ha, but for hollywood's sake it would have been cool.

Also loved the bickering between Brienne and Jaime about his swordsmanship - she's telling him basically "You're not all that..." and he's making up excuses about how it's been a year.

    Poor Jaime, he's short-handed now.

    Sorry.

Yeah just when Jamie grows a heart he loses a hand lol.

  11. Well, we haven't had an Oh Sh*t moment in a while, so yeah. I'm still on the second book so that was a major surprise with Jamie. Hopefully it wasn't a dream or something dumb like that.

I hated not seeing Ser Davos, but i'm sure he will be back soon.

Podrick must be packing some heat lol.

Also the Tully armor is pretty sweet, that's what the Night's Watch should have wore.

  12. I've seen a couple non-book readers misunderstanding who is torturing Theon, thinking the Ironborn have him. If you recall from S2, Robb's bannerman Roose Bolton sends "his bastard" to Winterfell from the Dreadfort (check the map, it's relatively close to Winterfell). Robb said all the Iron Islanders would be spared with the exception of Theon Greyjoy. Theon was of couse beseiged by attackers (remember the horn-blower). The Ironborn then turn him over to save their skin.

Now, the report via Bolton says that Winterfell was put to the torch and the Ironborn fled, no one has heard from Theon, and there is no sign of Bran & Rickon. But the X crucifix that Theon is attached to matches the "flayed man" sigil of House Bolton.

    Bolton's Bastard has Theon.

That was what I was speculating without spelling it out for everyone.
  13. What about the Hound? So far his appearance is in line with the book. Theon's captor will probably be made quite clear next week, perhaps the following week.

Well, since I am not that far in the books I was just surprised to see him as a captive(the Hound that is). So I am assuming that my speculations are probably wrong about Theon's captors.
  14. You are probably thinking of the blacksmith at the Wall, Jon Snow's friend Donal Noye who is not in the show. He lost an arm during the Greyjoy rebellion, but Thoros didn't. A lot of major characters fought in the Greyjoy Rebellion, including Ned and Robert of course, and Jorah Mormont.

That's correct. No one outside of Winterfell found out about that because Theon killed all the ravens in the show.

He has both arms. He's a red priest but admittedly a terrible one. Physically I think he's a bit plump from all his boozing and hedonism, but he is still a capable fighter. He changes a bit in the third book but I won't spoil anything even though its not really plot defining.

That's right Donal and jon were talking about that in the book, I confused myself.

I remember Theon killing the ravens also.

What about The Hound, I wish I would have read ahead in the book but I told myself I wouldn't. I think when I catch up though I am going to continue reading, because the show is hard to keep up with, without all the extra info in the book.

Also I think I know who has Theon captive. The contraption he's hanging on makes me think of a certain group of people who's sigil is the same shape.
