Inefficient. If you are taught that the way to happiness is hunting people for sport, mathematically speaking, you'll have one happy person (the hunter) and one unhappy one (the hunted). If you're taught that the way to happiness is sharing some delicious homemade madeleines with someone, you'll have twice as many happy people as in the above.

If we could raise kids to feel joy from doing acts of kindness, indiscriminately, we'd be getting somewhere.

This is my first time though, and one might say it's kicking my ass up and down the garden path. So as my feverish brain (still not entirely out of the woods) was trying to formulate, I wish I'd gotten a third immunization shot more recently, as I understand that may ameliorate the symptoms.

Obviously I don't know what kind of margins movie theaters operate with, but if that's a way to split the difference - the theater covering its costs of "infrastructure" (locale, screen, projector, AC, seats...) with ads and the movie itself with ticket prices, I'd be OK with that*. If I'm the one supplying the infrastructure, it's less OK. *Me not being a fan of movie theaters notwithstanding.

There is an underlying tone of a future "revelation" of Are we the bad guys? in the games, that I thought would get a look-in after the Covenant war ended, but nope. Militaristic fascism FTW, I guess... Edit: Just after hitting "Post", it struck me that Cortana evolves into an even worse fascist than the current regime, so now they look good by comparison...? It's weird, too. Halo 3: ODST features Nathan Filion, Alan Tudyk and Adam Baldwin of Firefly, but now in the role of shock troopers working for the UNSC.

Yeah, I didn't mention those, as I've only listened to the first book in audio form, and not very attentively. And I agree that it's good they're doing their own thing, so long as it's, you know, good.

The games have tons of lore, but are a mile wide and an inch deep. The main protagonist is by design a bit of a cipher, which is quite standard for action-focused games, and the rest of the characters are essentially straight from central casting/cardboard cutouts ETA: Or flat out copies from movies. Sgt Johnson basically is Apone from Aliens. The exception might be Dr. Halsey, who is as morally grey as they come, but that's arguably her only character trait, aside from her intellect.

Based on his work in Banshee more than The Boys, I'd say Anthony Starr could be a good choice.
