  1. That's how I feel, although I don't mind the show giving us some character insight, exposition, etc. Sometimes they seem to cram in too much and it can be borderline soap-operish and repetitive at times (the scene with Tyrion and Shae was downright cringe-worthy IMO). Although I've been finding Dany badass this season I can't help but wonder if her strategies will come back and bite her in the rear. How will she deal with all these liberated slaves? Will she be able to provide for her armies? Will her dragons be harder to control when they get huge? Stuff like that. (I'm still behind in the books, but I guess I'll get my answers soon enough when I continue reading).
  2. A decent episode. Tywin continues to own, like everything, loved the scene between him and Joffrey where Tywin puts Joffrey in his place. Dany has just been marvelous this season. Bronn is back! He never falls to make laugh out loud with his perfect witty, honest lines. At this point I'm just sorta done with the Theon torture storyline; it's just getting ridiculous now. And I really don't care about Robb and that chick (how do spell her name?). Their whole love story just seems so forced. Jon was actually somewhat interesting in this episode not to mention he was completely right. Arya and the Hound - so looking forward to this. Gendry and Mel - not looking forward to this.
  3. I'm in the middle of ACOK right now and haven't watched season 2 in awhile, but I do remember some major deviations from season 2 while reading the book; i.e. Dany's storyline is almost completely different in the books and it makes more sense tbh. All in all, I do think some deviations on the show are interesting or I do enjoy the show for exploring some characters that are barely in the books (i.e. Yoren definitely got a badass upgrade, I loved all his scenes in the show). I am somewhat disappointed with some things though (the Hound on the show for instance; an almost completely different complex character in the book).
  4. Wasn't really impressed with this episode to be honest. I guess they're setting up an arc for the next episodes? I felt like there wasn't a lot of plot progress in this one. Jon's storyline this season - I'm really not sure where they are going with this one. I did enjoy the scene between Tywin and Olenna though. But yeah I can't really think of much right now.
  5. Yes! Great episode again. Arya was fantastic (as always) Jamie and his explanation/flashback of how he got the name "Kingslayer" was pretty heartwrenching Last scene with Twyin/Cersei/Tyrion was also perfect (Charles Dance can seriously be a scary guy) BTW is it just me or was the fight scene between the Hound and Beric by far the best sword fight scene in the show?
  6. Hi! I'm new here as well! I'm still reading the first book but I'm almost done with it and heading toward the second one soon. Unfortunately I have been spoiled about some major storylines but I don't let it bother me. Anyways this episode, wow. Where to begin? I thoroughly enjoyed every scene with Varys, he just almost stole the entire episode for me The last scene with Dany and the Unsullied was badass (funny, I Iiked her in season 1, found her incredibly annoying in season 2, but she has really been awesome so far this season) I'm seriously loving Olenna Tyrell and Margaery continuing to manipulate Joffery and being a thorn to Cersei's side has made for some LOL moments for me The adventures between Jaime and Brienne has also been a consistent highlight for me Theon and the "Boy"- I know what's gonna happen and I fear for Theon. I don't hate Theon but I do find him to be stupid and also incredibly tragic. Still can't believe we're still at the beginning of the season and so much has happened! Can't wait for the things to come.
  7. 10. This is still my number one episode by far.
