  1. Very solid. 9. Good set up for future events that will take place in the later episodes, and some genuinely amazing scenes. Oberyn was fantastic, and I loved it when he stabbed that guy. The final scene was brilliant as well, it took its sweet time ratcheting up the tension and it paid off, I almost started laughing ecstatically during that fight. Excellent.
  2. I believe it was intended to make Shae presume Tyrion wanted her to go, and couldn't tell her himself. Now there's a bigger rift between them? That's what I would asssuuummmeeee.
  3. 9. Solid season finale. I look at Game of Thrones as a television series, in of itself. Just because characters are changed and everything doesn't follow the books...doesn't make it bad. Solid stuff. Excited for season 4.
  4. I'm glad they waited on UnCat. Make watchers think she really is dead. It would have been too soon to bring her back.
  5. Ahem, here I go. This was a captivating episode of television. This is upper echelon shit right here. I have never, EVER, been so powerfully moved in the way I was after that final scene while watching a television show. I've seen tons of television shows, and there are scenes that come close, but not like this. Going to give some bulleted thoughts below. First off, going to get the other stuff out of the way. Queenscrown was great, and I really loved how Bran and Jon were so close to each other. I loved Orell's death, and how Jon was all "You were right all along." Then cue eagle assault. I almost thought the damn creature plucked out Jon's eye, but luckily not, haha. We had some Dany, which was fine. I loved the Jorah, Grey Worm, Daario trifecta assault. They all had distinct fighting styles, and it was overall a badass scene. Gilly and Sam was fine. Nothing extraordinary, but I loved when Gilly called Sam a "wizard". On to the big stuff; the reason the whole episode was so moving was how everything was executed. They let you as an audience get settled in, and everything seems fine. They carry off Edmure and Roslin to be bedded, and then shit hits the fan. First off, the closing of the doors and the playing of the Rains of Castamere ratcheted up the tension to a hundred percent. Then you had Catelyn realizing something was off, which then led to Roose revealing he was wearing chainmail with a big ass smirk on his face. And then BAM! It went by so fast, with no time to catch your breath. Five stab assaults right in the baby! Crossbow bolts into Robb's chest! Stark host slaughtered! Catelyn slammed with a crossbow bolt from behind. Arya watching Grey Wind get slaughtered in the pens. God, it was fucking awesome and terrible at the same time. The final scene, maaaan. Roose ending Robb's life with "The Lannisters send their regards." Catelyn's pleas, and then the Frey wife's throat slit. And then Catelyn just stares ahead, catatonic. Slit throat. Candlelight. Silent credits. 10/10. Shit was hardcore.
  6. On any other show, that final scene would have been a dream sequence, and then the character would wake up in a sweat. On Game of Thrones however, shit gets real. I'm still shaking.
  7. I'm giving it a 9. RAMSAY WAS AWESOME.
  8. Yeah, loved the parallels between the two execution scenes. Instantly thought of Theon executing Rodrik.
  9. Great episode. Since episode 3, the show has really hit its stride. Lots of great scenes in this one. The Hound's fight was excellent, and pretty much everything to do with the Brotherhood was awesome. Speaking of which, Maisie Williams was fan-fucking-tastic this episode. All her scenes were great, especially the one with Thoros and Beric around the fire. Jon and Ygritte's scene was sexy as fuuuu. Then you had Robb and co. having some serious shit going down. Karstark's execution was a great scene, filmed and acted. Now, the bath scene. FUCKING AMAZING. NCW and Gwendoline Christie owned that scene, especially NCW. Great closing scene as well. Solid 9.
  10. Quality television is what this episode was. It is probably the best Game Of Thrones episode ever, or at least right up there with Baelor. Not only was this some of the best this show has to offer, it was probably the best episode of TV from last year. Period. The special effects, the choreography, the acting, the EVERYTHING. The song at the end...This episode is majestic. 10/10.
  11. Fantastic episode. Loved that we started right back up where we left off, with Jaime. I've got to say, as much as I fucking despised him after he pushed Bran out of the battlements, I'm feeling sorry for the guy. The one thing he was known for was his skills in battle, and you can tell he's a broken man without his hand. Brienne gave him a stern talking too though. He needs to toughen up and soldier on. Speaking of feeling sorry for characters, motherfucking Theon, man. He's going through some rough shit. Escapes, only to be led right back to the torture chamber. "My real father lost his head at King's Landing." Great stuff, great stuff. Varys and his adventures were great to see as well, and I'm very interested in where the hell this whole sorcerer thing is headed. Tyrion only had one scene this episode, but it gave us some great Varys stuff, so it's okay. Margaery continues to dig her claws into Joffrey, and it's pissing Cersei off. Loved Tywin telling her off. Damn it though, I was sad to see Jeor Mormont get cut down like that. Glad Craster got his comeuppance though. I don't where the hell that storyline is going as of now. And Sam ran off with Gilly and the baby, with Rast swearing to kill him. Everything's gone to hell North of the Wall. Really excited to see where the whole Arya and the Brotherhood things heads as well. Beric Dondarrion said he was gonna fight the Hound, and the look in the Hound's eyes seemed to tell us that Beric was not to be trifled with. AND MOTHERFUCKING DRACARYS. Daenerys mowed down them motherfuckers. Really glad to see her gain some real power in this episode. That whole scene was badass. Closed off an already fantastic episode. This is definitely a solid 9 from me. It's not a 10, but it's damn close.
