  1. The Dorne scenes were just utter, utter nonsense. I was prepared for the final scene, though. What else would you expect from Ramsay?
  2. 8/10 on its own and 7/10 with the source material taken into consideration. I think I'm being generous on that front, and I usually dole out 8's and 9's for episodes.
  3. Have to re-watch it but I doubt I'll give it a 9. Very few episodes have been a 9 in the post-Bean era.
  4. I couldn't care less if Stanners was in this episode, but upon rewatch what bothered me is how cliche this episode was. By no means is it overly cliche compared to other TV shows, but as far as Game of Thrones goes this was the most over the top ep yet. You really get the feeling that GRRM was constantly rolling his eyes watching this. Having said that, yay giants. Yay Ghost.
  5. I thought they were going to change it up so that Mance sends a 2nd wave, captures grieving Jon to bring him back and end on a cliffhanger with a Jon/Mance staredown and the Wall just about to be breached. Either way I wasn't expecting Stanners
  6. That brutal KO really felt like I was watching a snuff film of a living, breathing person. I was trying to put my finger on it. I'm hoping to see an epic walk off into the darkness, with the Rains playing. It would be confusing if he's not seen escaping.
  7. You found his analogy boring and yet you have a Vermeer painting as your avatar
  8. Well, the Unsullied are wondering if this is one of the last times they get to see Tyrion so why not linger on his vulnerability and philosophical nature?
  9. What do we say to death? Not todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!! Yeah they could have put some makeup on Gregor to make him look a bit crazier, and his face more weathered. Selling the wounds and fatigue as he got on top of Oberyn would have made it perfect. It's not like he didn't have time to trudge around because he knocked Oberyn silly with that punch. Ka-kun ka-kun ka-kun.
  10. Yes exactly. Tyrion spells out why ASOIAF is so compelling. The horror of insatiable sociopaths running amok. Also provided a nice recap of the entire episode: Wildlings slaughtering people in Mole's town, Ramsay needlessly flaying and killing every Ironborn, Littlefinger being Littlefinger.
  11. Not only that but it's a nice setup for the scene that follows. Tyrion is comparing the Mountain to his halfwit cousin(who died from getting kicked in the chest by a mule heh heh). By giving pause to brutality for brutality's sake it makes the duel extra frustrating.
  12. So many feels crammed into one episode! Even Ned feels were conjured on Essos.
  13. D'oh. I finally get what that pic is about. It's a prop being cut in half in mid-air.
  14. Didn't notice. She looked fine as hell in season 1. Off to go watch the bath scene.
  15. Poor Sam. His cowardly bully got his just desserts, and people are only satisfied because he taunted Ghost.
  16. 7.5 Little Finger got his voice back! Dance always guarantees at least a 6. Sophie Turner is really maturing as an actress. I felt the Locke death was a bit rushed(yet predictable), really felt like filler.
