Having a break from serious stuff and I've started to rewatch Burn Notice

    Star Trek Discovery #3

More than possible. Especially as Number 1 is a pretty big name as well.

I'd be much more interested in just having a series based on Pikes Enterprise tenure at this point.

    Das Boot

Yes. They aren't linked other than being in the same world.

    Das Boot

Anybody watch/watching the sequel to 1981 U-boat classic? It's a joint production between Sky Atlantic and TV Bavaria. Starring Lizzy Caplan, Tom Wlaschiha and Vicky Krieps. It was excellent and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

He tricks Solitaire into sex using her tarot cards which is rather sordid.

Well that's me properly finished with the rather excellent Quarry. I'm sorry that I missed it at the time as I'd have enjoyed participating in the wee thread about it on here. I mentioned in my previous post about it that I was troubled by the central relationship between Mac and Joni and I still find myself thinking about it. The initial reunion between them was lovely and tender and they seem to slip back into a happy relationship very easily with no hint of awkwardness. This is why I'm troubled by her affair with Cliff. It doesn't seem to fit in. Especially with how Cliff is portrayed. The show shows that Joni ended the relationship. She didn't contact him at the club,( presumably it's another one of his women letting him know that their husband is out), and she seems to invite the work colleague into the car pool as a buffer between them. And yet she is so easily convinced back into bed by Cliff who is essentially portrayed as the standard office "charmer", his sister mentioned him having sex with most of the office. Maybe I'm just overthinking it and Mac and Joni do work it all out anyway but it has troubled me for some reason. Anybody remember the show?!

Yep I've finished it now and the war scene was quite something. I did really enjoy the season and the central relationship really affected me in a way that I can't quite put my finger on yet.

Just started watching Quarry. I'm really enjoying it so far.

    True Detective Season 3 (SPOILERS)

Never really had much of an opinion on Stephen Dorff before but I am quite impressed in this show. I actually like his character more than Mahershala Ali's portrayal of Hays. I'm struggling to see what his wife was attracted to!

Outlander II: Sing me a Song...

I know that there are spin off books with Lord John Grey as the focus...........but would a show get an audience?

Outlander II: Sing me a Song...

Claire is starting to annoy me. She's so snarky.

The Staircase: Michael Peterson docu-series (spoilers?)

Obviously all countries have miscarriages of justice but I must say that the American legal system appears to be absolutely terrifying.

Horror - As the days get shorter

I'd thoroughly recommend "Those Across the River". Not read any of the others by Christopher Buehlman but I'm very keen to.

    Underwhelmed by Tolkien

I'm firmly in this camp. Have tried to read LOTR countless times and I usually give up by the time they get to Tom Bombadil. My mother absolutely adores the series and reads it all through at least once a year. It's just not for me.
