  1. Peter's face captured the shock and astonishment that most everyone must have been feeling at the conclusion of the trial by combat. It was pretty gruesome which I guess was the intended effect. Oberyn was laying into The Mountain while he was on his feet! The fight choreography for Oberyn was spectacular. The whole scene went by much quicker than how I envisioned it while reading this part, would have liked to get more of this. I like where they're going with Sansa becoming more savvy and getting more of an upper hand with Littlefinger. He's not sure of her intentions and she's still suspicious of him. Arya's hysterical joker laugh caught me off guard too. I interpreted it as her laughing at The Hound being thwarted again and also slightly losing it when she finds out she's still far from anything resembling home. This is actually one of my favorite parts in the ASoIaF saga since it's a turning point where Tyrion is sentenced and Jorah is exiled (again). Should be interesting to see these two opposite each other on screen later on.
  2. Hot Pie 2: Don't Forget the Gravy. I would like to hear his thoughts on mashed neeps also. The more drawn out, the better.
  3. The entire sequence with the Night's Watch crashing Craster's Keep was the high point of this episode for me. :box:
  4. I hope they keep Cold Hands in the series and give us a good hint as to who he is/was. Also, Bran's visions through the weirwood were a great foreshadowing of things to come.
  5. Not knowing what's coming next aside from some of the major plot points is one of the main draws of this show for me too. It's interesting to see how the showrunners tweak the original storyline here and there. I wouldn't be surprised to see Penny show up as a character later on when Tyrion washes up on a ship bound for Essos. There maybe one of the dwarf mummers from the band that was atot the wedding. Guess we'll have to see. Still so much show to go between now and then!
  6. I thought that was something worth noting. I don't think they're including the story of Penny and her brother. Some of the Tyrell host is missing at the wedding too, e.g. Willas, Garlan and their retinue.
  7. Enjoyed this episode immensely. The way the camera pans over to Tyrion picking up the chalice while Joffey gets coughey with both Jaime and Cersei futilely rushing over to him was masterful.
  8. I spotted Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Iain Glen the other day while watching Kingdom of Heaven. I wondered how Glen was able to be a part of both Downton Abbey and Thrones since they run concurrently. I got a special kick out of seeing Stephen Dillane in Zero Dark Thirty as a presidential advisor along with James Gandolfini as Leon Panetta. Stannis Baratheon and Tony Soprano together in the same room! Another actor I've seen in recent work is Nonso Anozie, who played Xaro, in the trailer for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. I thought Oona Chaplin did an amazing job as Talisa and hope to see her again in future television and film roles.
  9. It's a monologue worthy of Shakespeare!! I wanted to know what happened when he brought the beehive and the goat into the brothel. Dinklage probably received the Emmy based on that performance alone.
  10. Thank you, Tyrion son of Tywin! I enjoyed your confession at the Vale.
  11. Hail to thee, King Walrus! I lift my mug to His Grace!!
  12. I just noticed this sticky. I found this awesome forum  over a year ago and was using it and the Wiki as a companion reader to the novels and television series. I decided to sign up and start posting recently. Hope to make it a regular thing!
