    [Spoilers] Episode 806 Discussion

Many critics seem to sell short the show's concluding portrayal of its most magical element: the dragons. Drogon, the most potent of the three -- the airborne WMD that criss-crossed Kings Landing and leveled the city -- arose in anguish, not anger, and funneled the ancient, unfathomable intelligence of his species, correctly destroying the focal symbol of power and corruption that had dragged Daenerys to her death. Drogon melted the throne that his ancestors had created, vaporizing it before Jon even had a second to consider his own claim to power. The melting of the throne had been predicted, but seeing done in an act of independent volition and reptilian wisdom - rather than at the command of a human "master" -- sharply illuminated the role and psychology of the dragon species. Just as that starts to sink in, Drogon scoops up Dany and abandons Westeros altogether. Where to? Also, can Drogon lay eggs? And do dragons have the power to resurrect their symbiotes? Or is he simply done with it all, leaving the humans to their follies? Worked for me.

I absolutely loved the ending. All you negative nellies. Why can't you enjoy just once THE BEST ACTED TV SERIES OF FANTASY WE'VE EVER HAD!!!!!! YOU don't like it??? Why watch then? Write your own damn books and produce your own fantasy tv series!!!! Every week you come on here and rip apart and trash the show. I don't get it. And yes I have actually read everything GRRM has written. From Dying of the Light to now I've totally been a GRRM fangirl for 30+ years. GRRM gave the writers of Game of Thrones the right to do what they wanted with his blessing. Deal with it. This was as far as I'm concerned the best fantasy series I have ever seen on television. There is no equal. Peter Dinklage deserves another Emmy.

All through human history after almost every war the conquerors burn and sack the cities. This does NOT mean Dany is mad!!!! It's called revenge. Rome literally ground Carthage into the ground when they conquered them. They poured salt into the soil and plowed it under where Carthage stood. I asked my Husband who fought in Vietnam and killed people what he thought after watching this. His answer was "You have know idea what it's like in war and yes that's what happens". He also said "war is madness and it makes you mad". My Husband is 75 years old and he still has nightmares from Vietnam.
  6. I don't know. Something scared him. Who else has a fleet of ships?
  7. The look on Eurons face in the scenes for next week. Did you notice his look of surprize/fear? He doesn't fear a dragon. What IS he seeing out there on the water? Yara?
  8. Or maybe afraid to lose her last dragon. To use him when the way is clear to torch everyone? Smart.
  9. No he sent Ghost to the north to protect him. I would have done the same thing. Ghost did his part. Ghost needs to protect the North!

And now we see that Bran when he "time travels" can change the past and future. What power he has!! And what will happen if he decides to change the past? How delicious. It's massive and unprecedented. But the Three Eyed Raven did say that Bran can change the past if only it doesn't effect the present outcomes?
