  3. No just reviews. The critics get some advance episodes.
  4. Yeah, the plan worked as inteneded then. The Transport industry entire is so fucked up and has been for a long time. I had a relative that was a courier and had to leave the job entirely. When gas prices rose their manager's "solution" was to add $1.00 to every delivery. I think the whole point is to have a worker for about 3 years or so and then the worker goes bankrupt from paying themselves with credit cards. Then they go get another worker. And this now includes jobs like trucker.
  5. Reviews of AMC's "Interview with the Vampire" are out. I've read 3 of them. Looks like they got good reviews. Also it appears they adjusted some of the plot in a major way.
  6. I would not worry. They are stiffening the ranks with convicts and anti-war protesters. No way this turns into a shit show.
  7. 8. Yeah, the problem with these mental powers is the message never got to the FBI.
  9. The third rail Republicans can’t stop touching Social Security and Medicare are wildly popular. So why do GOP Senate candidates keep talking about privatizing them? https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/22/republican-candidates-social-security-medicare-00058158
  10. I don't know. Trump definitely should be sued out of existence of course. But it also seems like another sign that he is above the law. Like certain pharma CEOs or OJ Simpson. The law goes for the cuffs, but then their hands shake. Then we are left with a lawsuit that will lead to a settlement of some kind. There's a headline that he committed fraud over 200 times? Does this mean it's OK for everyone to defraud now?
  11. Ruben Gallego’s ready for a fight — even if the Democratic Party isn’t Inside the Arizona’s representative’s restless, highly online, and seriously combative plan to transform the Democratic Party. https://www.vox.com/the-highlight/23323231/ruben-gallego-arizona-latino-voters uld lose his race in Michigan; and a third was on track to lose in Washington state.

  13. Well, this is the bootstraps guy, remember. This all part of his journey from rags to greatness.
  14. Donald Trump humiliated J.D. Vance for fun https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/19/politics/donald-trump-jd-vance-ohio-rally/index.html
  15. Trump was openly shopping for this judge and tried to shop for her before. He likely knew something. Seems unlikely he'd know this judge was easy to scare. There's also an entire network dedicated to churning out loyal Republican operative "judges." Not that the intimidation isn't real. It's more generalized though.
  16. Yeah, it was terrible when I worked a union job. I paid like $20/month and got healthcare benefits so generous I thought I was back in the 1990's. I have to wonder at workers outraged about unions. Why are they even inconveniencing the great job creators by taking a paycheck?
  17. Kagan repeats warning that Supreme Court is damaging its legitimacy The justice's pointed comments follow Chief Justice John Roberts' recent lament that unpopular decisions shouldn't undercut the court. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/14/kagan-supreme-court-legitimacy-00056766

  19. Federal Reserve The Fed should pause interest rate rises as US inflation slows Joseph Stiglitz and Dean Baker It would be irresponsible to create much higher unemployment – and the US economy could be pushed into recession https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/12/the-fed-interest-rate-rises-us-inflation-unemployment-recession
  20. You would think, but he wears this this to job interviews. Along with the hillbilly beard. It makes him a fearsome predator of the capitalist battlefields.
  21. 5 eps in. Starting on 6 as well. Cobra Kai remains one of the best shows on television. I realized this after finishing 5. It's like the best Karate Kid fanfiction I did not know I needed. Really glad that Miguel and Johnny are now family. 2 of my favorite characters. (And I really hated John Lawrence in the 1980's when I watched him as a little kid) Chozen/John Lawrence buddy cop is just about perfect. I could watch a whole show based on this alone.

  23. Republicans look to restrict ballot measures following a string of progressive wins The state efforts are a direct threat to abortion-rights advocates and other liberal groups’ efforts to bypass governors and legislatures and take issues directly to voters. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/09/10/the-lefts-best-chance-for-restoring-abortion-rights-in-red-states-is-in-jeopardy-00055901
