  1. This. Wyman Manderly died the day he left White Harbor to join the wedding at Winterfell.
  2. The only Littlefinger that could have written the Pink Letter was the one we had at the beginning, the one who hired the catspaw assassin among other things, but he no longer exists
  3. This is how HBO is thinking of "fixing" GoT's ending. It wasn't Dany who burned King's Landing, it was Drogon
  4. And so is GoT but the double standard in the fandom is hilarious.
  5. This Episode so far was the most brazen, undeniable example of ruining the existing material and preferring stupid spectacles over logic/storytelling, something for which the book-purist fandom (which by the way mostly shills for Hot D because they are led to believe that this show is a GRRM-approved faithful adaptation) hated the last seasons of GoT and blamed it all on D&D. Well, they are not here and we are still getting the same stuff. Perhaps it is time to start figuring out the responsibility of Sapochnik or even HBO governors in the GoT's final seasons. In Season 2 or 3 of Hot D, I can see the fandom saying that D&D did nothing wrong.
  6. That dragon-dais starefest was dumber than Jon screaming at unViserion but here we are.
  7. The writers seem to have misunderstood what "Kingmaker" stands for in the book
  8. 9th episode so far and we have had more than 9 different characters which the writers want us to believe to be Alicent
  9. Well, Luthien managed to give Morgoth a boner, so we have the Valar checked as well. Also IIRC, the original conception of the Valar were much more like the Norse pantheon where the gods were having children (like some prominent Maiar were originally children of the Valar).
  10. The idea of Targaryen/Valyrian blood supremacy is a bad jape. I have this special blood that ... pretty much half of Westeros and all of Essos populations have.
  11. That is Condal's idea of writing strong female characters.
  12. The shadow fell upon khazad dum as it happened in Numenor. The evil has awakened.
  13. Wasn't this episode supposed to be where we see piles of dragon shit?
  14. Women are so 20th century. We live in the age of gays now. You can't kill your gay characters, especially if they are black. How the show handled Rhea and Laena would have caused a feminist outrage (and deservedly so) if we still lived in the 20th century.
  15. Blood purists are on suicide watch edit: ... as are the sworn enemies of polygamy
  16. I don't see why people are bothered with the collapse of the dam. It is no different than the magic gates of the dwarves that we see in Hobbit and LotR, except being on a grander scale because Sauron's skill >> dwarves.
  17. To be fair, they wanted to be free from Sauron and his bloody experiments.
  18. D&D missed a golden opportunity to foreshadow Tommen's suicide. They should have written a sex scene for Jaime&Cersei in the first season at the same room in which Jaime would finish from the same spot.
  19. The old and young versions of Alicent (and of Rhaenyra to a certain extent) act like totally different characters. So, I wouldn't expect any amount of character development to bridge this insurmountable gap. They should have either skipped the first 5 episodes and started from here, or extended them to a full season and let this be the start of the second season. But then again, both options would be equally bad as the one we get, for different reasons. There is just no good way to tell a bad story.
  20. If D&D wrote Rhea's and Laena's deaths like these, they would have been blamed as filthy misogynists.
  21. I like the fact that the only counter argument people have against Jon=Aegon is that they just hate it.
