  1. Heck, I’m still of the opinion that they should trade Fields and the top overall pick for a boatload of first and second rounders for the next two years and load up on offensive and defensive lines, then take a swing on a QB in the middle of the first round in a couple years.
  2. Just heard a crazy stat. UConn has not won on the road against a ranked team in over a decade.
  3. And naturally UConn gets killed by Creighton... because 2024.
  4. Interesting. I don’t know that I recall any real Justice League references in the original four games. Was Gotham Knights in the Arkham-verse too?
  5. I've never quite been able to figure that out. Is it in the Arkham-verse? Or is it just something else?
  6. Fire the coach. Beat the number two team in the country. Fairly standard stuff.
  7. Makes that scene in Last Dance when Michael is talking about wanting to defend Kobe to shut the rookie up seem like it was an entire other universe.
  8. I was in the grocery late one evening a month or so ago and Jamiroquai came on the in house speakers. I told my wife about it and she didn't know what I was talking about. I was very disappointed.
  9. Welp, that radar is definitely flawed then. Never made time to go see the Barbenheimer sensation last summer. So anyways, point stands for the first part.
  10. That’s the thing though… RDJ had no career to speak of when he signed on to Ironman. And what is he doing now that he isn’t Ironman? Does he have a career? I dunno. I don’t see him in things on my radar. Krasinski can almost pick any role he wants these days.
  11. Yeah, the college system where it always goes back and forth is a no brainer to play defense first. But this gets much more complicated. Shanahan truly believes that his offense will score a TD every time they have the ball. Given that philosophy, his decision to take the ball first makes more sense. And it almost worked. They had the Chiefs almost at a 4 and out. Then had them at 3rd and Long.
  12. I missed that part. I did catch Shanahan after the game say that part of the strategy for taking the ball first was the chance to possess the ball twice. The other part was that the defense was gassed after the last two minutes of regulation.
  13. I was unaware that playoff overtime was different than regular season overtime. (FG gets other team possession, TD wins it.) So what happens if KC is held to a FG? They go sudden death? Or is it like college where they keep alternating until one can’t keep up?
  14. But how would you like to set a Super Bowl record for longest kick just to have the other guy come along and beat it a few minutes later.
  15. Yeah, if we are up four nearing the end of regulation; I just sort of assume the Chiefs win it there outright.
  16. Momentum changed on the punt fumble. McCloud should have fallen on the thing instead of trying to pick it up. Shades of Kyle Williams…
  17. I definitely wanted a CMC run on the 3rd and 4 before the FG near the end of regulation. Shanahan went away from the running game too much in the third quarter and took him until OT to remember he had the offensive player of the year back there. Told my wife I would be happy to take my chances with three runs and a punt. Really felt like Niners shot themselves in the foot in the first half. They were dominating the game, but only up a single score. That’ll get you beat every time. Hate it for these players. Felt terrible for Greenlaw. Who pops an Achilles walking onto the field?!!?
  18. I wonder if that was the plan all along though… or if they just decided to pivot when Rock got boo’d by the crowd last Friday?
  19. Watched it. It was fine. Pretty fun in places. Very light hearted. Felt almost like the "chick flick" version of a super hero movie. I think it just missed the mark in its target and expectations. It should never have been expected to be an Avengers level "event." The fact that it released in and around the strike preventing a full promo tour certainly did no favors. In some ways, feels like Disney Plus was the exact place for it. It works more as a follow up to Ms Marvel than it does to Captain Marvel in a lot of ways. All that said, its a perfectly enjoyable small screen adventure. There are some features of it that I think the MCU can certainly take and move forward with. The mini-team concept can definitely help them tie together some of these loose threads that are dangling everywhere with no resolution in sight. The shorter run time was a positive for me as well. Lastly I completely misunderstood the context of the post credits scene. So while I had been spoiled and knew what actor made his surprise appearance, I was surprised by who else was involved.
  20. Have you seen the Dual Sense? Its practically the same as a XBox or Switch Pro controller.
  21. Saw today that The Marvels is coming to Disney+ on Feb 7. So I guess I'll take time to watch it sometime this week.
  22. We've had some halfway competent QBs... none of them could run it like Purdy has. (Granted, I may be using a loose definition of "halfway competent.") I mean hell, I heard one of the gasbags on ESPN (might have been Chris Canty) suggesting that the Niners should trade for Justin Fields... what??????
  23. https://x.com/RealPitino/status/1754890655602475111?s=20 Dunno why I can't embed into the message board anymore. But Rick coming in hot with NIL solutions!
