One reason I doubt that Barristan will die in the battle is because then Dany will be left with zero Westerosi advisers she already knows. It would be weird for her to come across Victarion or Tyrion without Barristan telling her how awful they are. Also, I wonder if Barristan and Ser Jorah's paths will cross at some point during the battle.....
