That's what I meant. It is unfair to have a mixed rating of extreme critics that judge it in terms of adaptation of the original source and people who judge it as standalone thing who never read the books. So it is a unreliable statistic in some ways.

There isn't really a divided poll, is there? Where we can see book readers votes vs show only viewers votes? Because it is obvious that someone who hasn't read the original will be in awe of the show and basically always give them above 7.

why couldn't Talisa just be a westerosi noble that turned away from her lifestyle? I wanna love or like the show. They shouldn't use all directors/writers on all storylines/episodes. Make the one that is good with Daenerys stuff only direct her and write her episode parts and the one that is good with Wall stuff only does those parts. No need to have episode specific directors. (Correct me if I am wrong with details, been long since I last read about it) It also allures to Cersei of course, but Walder and Kriemhild are extremely similar in the aspect of the trait that they remember a wrong done to them and will make their enemies pay for it. But this is not meant to show that an other story had the same scenario, but simply that there are other stories that may or may not have been inspirations for it. Its anyway impossible to make an original story today that does not mirror another story by some or most elements.
