  1. I think glorified extra sounds so derogatory, that's why I didn't really use it. And I don't have a crusade for that term, I just don't wanna be called the moron who doesn't get it. And the goatherd is not an actor yet for that tiny line. Just like the mom from the milk commercial isn't one. Perhaps, as we give each other subtle insults covered in advise here, you should use a little less arrogance in your posts(That is usually my part, the arrogance one  ) ^that was sarcasm..kinda.
  2. I think as an actor you should have..a role with a name. Kent never ever had a real role, but as extras I guess, as he has credits but no names to them. Man he will be an actor perhaps in one show, but not in GOT. This doesn't count as an actor that role. He had some tiny lines and acted, well he may not be an extra from the trial who shouts rhubarb, but he is not a real actor. He had an extra role in it that was slightly more perhaps, but not more. I wouldn't even call the two whores of Salladhor anything more than idk..side people. They had no real lines. But, I know nothing, according to rmholt :D
  3. man. I thought this thread was closed. :{ The fight goes on I guess.
  4. Illyrio and Illyrius. Aegon and Agenor.
  5. ha ha name it then. Come on! Bring it on. If he is not an extra, what is he then? Name it please.
  6. he is. He is not a supporting actor or real actor. He is an extra. That is fine, cope with it. What would you call the lady from the bus in Forrest Gump? Main Cast? Those are extras. Maybe better ones and with privileges, but still extras.
  7. fixed that. per show logic..or at least what book readers make of that, they should have used the guy the unsullied already knew, to not confuse the audience. Err..yeah would have been better if it was the same guy, to make Dany even more believe it was her dragon, as he already attacked him. But seriously, the extra is a guy that reminds one instantly of the Mummy's helper guy. Same face, same voice. Annoying. He looks funny, not miserable. But that is the show. They cast fantastic guys with fantastic make up, like the tutor guy who looked so fitting, and then they cast this other guy.
  8. Don't take it personal, I was just having a little joke on you. That guy has....an uncommon look, you are completely right. And an annoying voice. Horrible choice for the role. Why not take the same farmer and actor we saw before..
  9. I'm not having a laugh, that voice is annoying. I hate it when movie characters have voices like this. Where I'm from we get all films dubbed, and there is this one voice actor that dubs a lot of "funny characters" and he has such a voice, and it is not a common or normal voice. Just annoying. That farmer reminded me instantly of him. and can you stop with the attacks? What have I done to you?
  10. May I? I don't think he looked that womanly, but he had an annoying voice. Sounded not human..normal..sounded like a cartoon "funny character" Can't call that "looking too hard" ahmhh *patchink* :P
  11. wait...now Gwyneth Paltrow playing a woman playing a man.... and Darren Kent(think that is the bloke) playing a man...a poor man with a hunger ridden face...looks like a woman because Gwyneth Paltrow looked like him when she played a man? Isn't that then the other way round? That Gwyneth looks like a man..when she plays a man..because she looked like a man (Kent) when he played a...man ? I am confused right now.
  12. ...better than ignoring the bad that is obviously there.. :leaving:
  13. If you think your watch is shit, buy a rolex next time.. just sayin' .. :smoking:
  14. I actually wouldn't mind a theme park.. Both. marketing it to death can ruin it. I think it has this nice independent thing to it and still has all the high budget and popularity. and of course the deviations. Who knows. Maybe a nice voice told them this and that would make for higher ratings...who knows..
  15. As much as I love GOT, this is a war it cannot win. DD aren't necessarily the bad guys, but easily then the Lucases, the little heads with power that made bad decisions. I doubt they are capable of bad things, but bad decisions. I think they really love the series, but someone has to be blamed, and they are of course the scapegoats, as they are the face of the show. Who should I blame ? The janitor? No. They definitely love the series, but it appears some people behind them or over them make them do bad decisions. Like the deviations. Odysseus has to sail to Ithaka, not the other nice islands. They are full of adventures and interesting stuff and opportunities...and death..but they really should go home to his wife and children before the wife remarries and they have to shoot an arrow through 12 rings. Odysseus isn't bad, but he makes bad decisions. The Trojan Horse was a very bright moment of his, but the Sirens not so much.
  16. So why argue if you agree? And the prequels were decent. Two decent movies, worthy of the Star Wars series. ;)
  17. It is just the George Lucas effect. Who knows who has power. Someone had it and then it got lost somewhere, but now things roll. George Lucas initiated and produced the new animated clone wars series, yet it is total crap and ruins so much of the good stuff of Star Wars.
  18. If there is a gold mine, don't open it for tourists and tell everyone how cool it is, mine the gold. More profit with that. DD are not the good guys really. They turn around their story as much as needed, then market it like Star Wars and create a huge expanded universe. Perhaps Grrm will have his own George Lucas moment. Where he regrets it. It's just the truth. I mean they already have a cook book that has barely anything to do with either show or books, aside from the name.
  19. Wonder how long until there will be a theme park.. with theme park rides and themed restaurants.. catering... wedding planning.. horse riding.. jk, but seriously, wonder if they would do a theme park. HBO will milk that cow until there is no more left. They already made got themed perfume.. sooner or later there will be sodas. Water Morghulis and Water Dohaeris. And of course, Pepsi Cola Special Edition: Blackwater. Wildfire absinth. So they say 8 seasons now. They will say 9 seasons in two years. Definitely. Movie makers are able to stretch The Hobbit into 3 4 hour movies, they will easily make the series longer.
  20. Was not a joke at you, if that's what you meant. I just think that the extra who played him and the crew are pretty much publicity whores. Not really a joke. I just generally can't stand such crap.
  21. What people do/say for a little bit of extra publicity. . .
  22. Miodrag: To make a last point about the description of genitalia: We had to read "The Reader" in school. Like not each for his own, but like everyone read a line aloud. And not that the book was an atrocity to read anyway, but Schlink is horrible at writing erotic stuff. Not that it was supposed to be erotic, but it was just awkward. Even if one would read it in private, but he used the german scientific term for penis, "Glied"(literally "member"). And that is quite a read, I can tell you that. Not that no one ever would say or write that word(I wonder why it even exists), but if there was written "Schwanz" or any other slightly derogatory or more common term for his reproductive organ, I would have appreciated it.
