  1. Sorry, but yeah. It seems to me there will be no Clegane bowl, unless D&D are luring us in, again. When Sandor looked his brother in the eye and said: 'You know what's coming for you - you've always known' it seemed to me he was referring to the ice and death, whereas he himself got fire and life. Remember Brienne saying to him: 'I thought you were dead' and Sandor replying: 'Not yet'. To me this scene was very meaningful. The Hound just faced the army of the dead beyond the wall and witnessed the true power of fire. I think he came to an important realization there, faced with te burning undead bear, unable to act and seeing his companions deal with fire as a life savior. I think he might have embraced life there, even if it requires fire. Or maybe because it requires fire. Sandor chose to live, there and then. Gregor is 'even uglier than I am' - but, hey, Sandor is alive....
  2. Hear, hear! Dismantle them, yes! You're good at this. And love GRRM for leading readers there.
  3. D&D might be more following the book story plot than meets the eye, at surface. There are so many parallels and mirrorings. "Aerys declared "fire" the champion of the House Targaryen. He had Lord Rickard suspended from the rafters of the throne room while pyromancerslit a blaze beneath him. As he burned, Brandon was brought into the throne room, a leather cord attached to a strangulation device was wrapped around his neck. Aerys told Brandon his father was a dead man but there was a chance to save him. A longsword was placed on the floor just out of Brandon's reach, and the more he struggled to reach it, the more the cord tightened around his throat. Brandon Stark strangled himself trying to free his father, who was roasted alive in his own armor." Now, this looks very much like what Cersei is doing to Allaria and Tyene - Allaria having a chain around her neck just too short to reach her daughter. (What Greek tragedy does this remind me of?) Secondly, Mirri Maz Duur had more to say than a prophecy/threat: "Only death can pay for life." And now that one of Dany's dragon's is dead, it could mean there is place in her womb once again.
  4. Did anyone notice? In the Dragon Pit when Jon was demonstrating how to kill a wight, he took a torch and burned the wight's hand: "We can burn them". After that he threw out his Dragon glass dagger, stabbed it in the wight's belly and said: "Or we can kill them with dragon glass." Where's the Valyrian Steel? Why didn't he mention it? My good hunch would be to prevent Cersei from gathering the remaining Valerian steel. I mean Joh has Longclaw, Brienne has Oathkeeper, Sam took Heartsbane with him and Arya now has Catspaw, which is Valerian Steel, too. Might Widow's Wail still be in KL? Euron is said to wear a suit of black scale armors made from Valerian steel. Many other swords got lost. If I remember well there has to be one in the Eyrie, yet: Lady Forlorn. What's your opinion on this? Why did Jon leave the Valyrian Steel out?
  5. When Daenerys was at the House of the Undying, one of the prophecies she heard was "Three treasons will you know, once for blood and once for gold and once for love". Daenerys believes that Mirri Maz Duur committed the blood treason. In episode 7 did we witness Cersei betray Dany for gold (gold of the lions, gold of the Iron Bank, gold of the Golden Company)?
