  1. More info about Trump's bond for the E. Jean Carroll fine. Former President Trump posted a nearly $92 million bond in a New York court on Friday to appeal the $83.3 million in damages a jury ordered him to pay to writer E. Jean Carroll for defamation by denying her sexual assault allegations. Why it matters: It's another major financial blow for the GOP presidential frontrunner, who faces a separate $450 million fine in New York's civil fraud case over his business practices....... Details: Trump's bond payment was underwritten by insurance company Chubb, an international insurance provider based in Switzerland. Under the bond terms, Chubb will only secure the appeal of the $83.3 million judgment and not any future appeals. Other terms of the bond, such as how much money or collateral Trump put down, were not disclosed...... Zoom out: In New York, defendants in civil cases are required to pay a bond worth at least 110% of the judgment amount in order delay paying the penalty as they appeal. The bond is essentially a promise that the penalty will be paid if the defendant's appeal fails to alter the verdict or judgment. Trump posts nearly $92M bond to appeal E. 9. At that time, I didn't own a tv and didn't want to. So, many popular shows have not been seen by me, which is fine. Just have never been that fond of TV. I do watch some now because I can stream w/o adds, that makes me happy. Still don't watch it much. I could watch Friends, but just have never been interested in the show.

  13. The article notes that the pan is cast iron. "England’s strongest man has showcased his incredible strength by rolling up a cast iron frying pan with his bare hands....Before taking on the challenge, presenter Adam Ball examined the pan, banging it on a desk to ensure it was made of real cast iron."
  14. Good news! WASHINGTON -- Democrat Tom Suozzi was sworn in as a congressman again Wednesday, representing Long Island and Queens' 3rd congressional district. Suozzi brought his own local cheering section to Congress. About 100 people from Long Island were shouting his name as he called for a new era of harmony and working across the aisle.......As Suozzi posed for formal pictures with House Speaker Mike Johnson, there was no mention of the bitter special election with Mazi Pillip and certainly no mention of the man he replaced, former Congressman George Santos.
